Virginia M. Leatham
Virginia M. Leatham, 78, of Hartford, died Saturday, (January 12, 2002) at a local convalescent home.
Born in Hudson Heights, NJ, daughter of the late John and May (Walsh) Leatham, she lived in Hartford most of her life. She had been employed by the Travelers Insurance Company for 34 years, retiring in 1989 and was a member of the Travelers Woman's Club.
She leaves a sister, Marguerite T. Morris; and a niece, Sheila M. Smedick, both of Windsor; and a grand niece and grand nephew, Julie and Jason Smedick.
The funeral will be Wednesday, 12 noon, in the Chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
Her family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Patricia A. Holden, 59, of Windsor, CT, died Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at At home in Windsor, CT.
She was born January 19, 1942 in Hartford, CT. She attended Poquonock Community Church at 1817 Poquonock Avenue.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 18, 2002, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Carmon Funeral Home at 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT.
Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2002, at 11:00 AM at Carmon Funeral Home at 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT. Rev. Lloyd Randy Thompson will be officiating.

Doris C. Lanigan
Doris C. (Steen) Lanigan, 94, of Simsbury, widow of Chester J. Lanigan, died Saturday, January 12, 2002, in Simsbury.
Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Horace and Catherine (McCormick) Steen, she had lived in the East Granby and Simsbury area most of her life.
She leaves five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Betty Lanigan of Enfield, Richard and Donna Lanigan of Palm Coast, FL, William and Susan Lanigan of West Granby, Patrick and Terri Lanigan of Flagler, FL, Dennis and Diane Lanigan of Southington; a daughter, Pamela McCahill of Simsbury; 17 grandchildren, Robert Jr., Linda, James, Edward, Kevin, James, Janet, Karen, Richard Jr., Brenda, Scott, Stacy, Stephanie, Ginger, Mark, Nicholas and Ashley; and 24 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Delores Southworth; a great granddaughter, Heather Scott; and a brother, Robert Steen; and a sister, Pauline Kozyra.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 12 noon, at the South Congregational Church, 242 Salman Brook St., Granby, with the Rev. Dr. Geordie Campbell officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
Burial will be private at the Granby Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Farmington Valley V.N.A., 8 Old Mill Lane, Simsbury 06070.
Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, Granby, has care of arrangements.
