Clendaniel, Greoge Sanford

George Sanford Clendaniel, Jr., 96, Marydel, passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010 at Pinnacale Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center Smyrna.

He was born on June 15, 1914 in Hartly, DE

Mr. Clendaniel was a farmer all his life in Marydel, MD and was a member of the MD Farm Beaura. He also owned and operated Clendaniel Trucking Co. He enjoyed gardening, reading his Bible, attending services at Wesleyan Camp in Denton and going to the Delaware State Fair. He is preceded in death by his Wife Emma Grace Clendaniel in 2004 after 68 years of marriage. Also his son Henry J. Clendaniel in 1974.

He is survived by Son, Louis Clendaniel of Hartly, DE. Son, Carlton Clendaniel of Baltimore, MD. Son, Fred Clendaniel of Milford, DE. Son, Herb Clendaniel of Milford, DE. Son, Frank Clendaniel of Milford, DE. Daughter, Sarah Green of Marydel, MD. Daughter, Louise Simmons of Elizabeth City, NC. Brother, Charles Clendaniel of, MD. Brother, Harry Clendaniel of, DE. Brother, Paul Clendaniel of, DE. Brother, Herb Clendaniel of, DE. Sister, Mary Mitchell of, FL. Sister, Sallie Dill of, DE. 13, Grandchildren, 32, Great grand children, 5, Great Great Grand Children.

Remembrance Services will be held Thursday 07/29/2010 11 AM at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Barratts Chapel Cemetery Frederica, DE

Foster, Gerald "Jerry"

Gerald "Jerry" V. Foster, 76, Dover, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday October 13, 2010 at KGH Bay Health Dover.

He was born on May 12, 1934 in Friendship, NY to the late Clifton and Genevieve Sweeney Foster.

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church were he had a passion for ushering. He served in the U.S.A. F. for 20 years and was civil service for 24 years and 10 years part time with NAPA Auto Parts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing. Family gatherings with friends were special to him. He is preceded in death by a son, John Clendaniel, two brothers, Richard Foster and James Foster.

He is survived by his Wife of 43, Dorothy M. Foster of Dover, DE. Daughter, Nancy Reece of Millington, MD. 9, Grandchildren, 15, Great grand children, 1, Great Great Grand Child.

Mass of Christan Burial will be held Thursday 10/21/2010 11 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE

Friends may call Wed. 10/20/2010 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. A Prayer service will be at 7:30 PM.

Tobler, John W.

John W. Tobler, 82, Dover, passed away Friday September 17, 2010 at KGH Bay Health Dover Dover.

He was born on September 09, 1928 in Laurel Fort, VA to the late Joseph and Perlita Puckett Tobler.

He was a member of Dover Elks B.P.O.E. 1903, and the American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time in Rock Hall, MD He worked at Suburban Propane for 35 years.

He is survived by Wife, Helen Tobler of Dover, DE. Son, John W. Tobler, Jr. of Bridgeville, DE. Daughter, Linda Sue Marker of Hartly, DE. Grandchildren, Jaime Tobler Riggin, Amy Marker, Holly Marker, Douglas John Marker, Jr., Great grand children, James Wooleyhand, Jr., Lia Joi Riggin.

Remembrance Services will be held Tuesday 09/21/2010 1 PM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Lake Side Cemetery Dover, DE

Lane, Malin "Mike"

Malin "Mike" O. Lane, 61, Dover, passed away Tuesday October 12, 2010 at Universty of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia after complications from pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born on October 27, 1948 in Dover, DE to late Albert and Bertha Dillmore Lane.

Mr. Lane worked for the City of Dover Electric Department for more than 30 years before retiring in 2001. His interests and hobbies included wood working, boating, fishing, hunting ans camping. He was an avid lover of the sea and vacationing ofton at Cape Hatteras. He is preceded in death by his sister Ethel Tribbett and his brother John H. Dillmore.

He is survived by his Wife of 28 years, Teresa Lane of Dover, DE. Son, Tim Lane of Bridgeville, DE. Daughter, Michelle Lane of Dover, DE. Daughter and her husband, Shawn Marie and Don Cole of Dover, DE. Brother, Albert V. Lane, Jr. of Marydel, DE. Sister, Nancy Jewell of Hartly, DE. Sister, Bertha M. Nelson of Dover, DE. Sister, Emma R. Lane of Dover, DE. Sister, Janus P. Williams of Rehoboth Beach, DE. Four Grandchildren, Kara Romano, Ashley, Jordan, and Emily Cole.

Remembrance Services will be held Wed. Oct. 20, 2010 at 11 AM in the Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover, DE Burial will be at the Lakeside Cemetary Dover, DE

Shinski, Lillian "Dolly"

Lillian "Dolly" M. Shinsky, 84, Dover, passed away Wednesday October 06, 2010 at KGH Bay Health Dover.

She was born on May 20, 1926 in Magnolia, DE to the late Clyde and Lillian Knight Butler.

Mrs. Shinsky worked for Playtex for over 34 years. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Shinsky, Sr. in 1979.

She is survived by her Son and his wife, Charles and Mary Shinsky, Jr. of Hartly, DE. Son and his wife, C. Michael and Lori Shinsky of Dover, DE. Granddaughter and her husband, Francine Marie and John Franklin, Granddaughter and her husband, Noel and Kevin Foster Granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Michael Arthur, Grandson, Brian Walla. Great grand children, Marvin Spencer, Jarek and Alex Franklin, Jamie Ruppe, Tristan, Caden, Jayson, and Emily. Three Great-Great Grandchildren.

Albert "Bud" Comegys, Jr., 90, Tuxward Road, Hartly, passed away Sunday April 25, 2010 at Christinia Medical Center Wilmington.

He was born on August 30, 1919 in Hartly, DE to the late Albert and Edith Scuse Comegys, Sr.

He was a member of Eastern Shore Fox Hunters Assoc., Calvary United Methodist Church in Marydel, Willow Run Ruritan Club, Agway Board, Trustee at Thomas Chapel, Century Farm and other organizations. "Bud" was a farmer and dairy farmer all his life, and an avid fox hunter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and his dairy farm. He is preceded in death by his sister Mary Rash in March 2010..

He is survived by his Wife of 60 years, Inez "Sally" Paxton Comegys of Hartly, DE. Son, John Comegys of Hartly, DE. Son, Rodney Comegys of Hartly, DE.
