Wanda Garner
MIDDLEBURG - Wanda Baughknight Garner, 69, of Middleburg died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000 at the residence of her daughter Katherine Murray following an extended illness.
Born in Groveland, Mrs. Baughknight lived in Raiford and Tennessee before moving to Middleburg in March of 2000. She was a retired waitress and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Garner is survived by: her husband Harold Garner of Raiford; two daughters, Katherine D. Murray and Louretta Milosavich, both of Middleburg; two sons, John R. Dowling III of Raiford and James E. Dowling, both of Warner Robins, Ga.; a sister Virginia Cheyney of Leesburg; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Garner were Sept. 26, 2000 in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with the Rev. Robert H. Clyatt officiating. Burial followed at Sapp cemetery in Raiford.

Marjorie Hathcock
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Marjorie N. Hathcock, 78, of Keystone Heights died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000 at Shands at Starke following an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Mrs. Hathcock moved to Keystone Heights in 1973 from Memphis, Tenn. She was a retired bank teller and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Hathcock is survived by her friend and caregiver J.D. McLaughlin Jr. of Keystone Heights.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hathcock will be held at a later date. Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights is in charge of arrangements

Laurence Pelletier
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Laurence John Pelletier Jr., 67, of Keystone Heights died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 at Orange Park Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., Mr. Pelletier moved to Keystone Heights in 1994 from West Palm Beach. He was of the Catholic faith and was a retired shipping and receiving clerk for Pratt Whitney Aircraft, United Technologies.
Mr. Pelletier is survived by: his wife Janice Warner Pelletier of Keystone Heights; two daughters, Cindy McDeavitt and Lonnie Caggiano, both of West Palm Beach; a son Edd Pelletier of Palm Springs; a sister Jeanne Lavoie of Perry and three grandchildren.
Funeral mass for Mr. Pelletier was Sept. 25, 2000 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in West Palm Beach. Interment followed in Queen of Peace cemetery with Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights in charge of local arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Florida Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.

Matilda Salvonik
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Matilda Salvonik, 79, of Keystone Heights died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000 at Hospice House in Gainesville following an extended illness.
Born in Wheeling, W.Va., Mrs. Salvonik moved to Keystone Heights in 1977 from Orange Park. She attended St. Anne Episcopal Church and was a retired waitress at Moose Haven in Orange Park. She was a member of OES Chapter #279, Daughters of the Nile #85 and Women of the Moose #1495.
Mrs. Salvonik is survived by: her husband Frank Salvonik of Keystone Heights; a son Anthony Hinkle of Jacksonville Beach; a brother Samuel Pinion of Morgantown, W.Va.; a sister Rose Griffin of Martins Ferry, Ohio and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Salvonik will be held at a later date. Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights is in charge of arrangements.

Tod Samons
STARKE - Tod Jeffrey Samons, 38, of Starke died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000 following a boating accident.
Born in Somerville, N.J., Mr. Samons lived in Starke since he was nine years old. He attended Troy State University where he majored in computer science. He was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church.
Mr. Samons is survived by: two brothers, John Samons and Doug Samons, both of Starke; two sisters, Donna Tew of Starke and Cindy Samons of Asheville, N.C.; an uncle Al Samons of Fairfield, Texas; two nieces, two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Samons were Sept. 23, 2000 in the Chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke with Father Bill Hochheim officiating with burial in Crosby Lake Cemetery.

Dottie Walsh
PLANTATION - Dottie Sue Walsh, 55, of Plantation died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000 in Ft. Lauderdale.
Born in Miami, Mrs. Walsh graduated from Miami Edison High School.
Mrs. Walsh is survived by: her daughter Lee Ann; three grandchildren, Amanda, Jodi and Megan; four brothers, Hollis Carroll of Greenville, Charles Carroll of Okahumpka, Ronald Carroll of Ruskin and Steve Carroll of Gibsonton; four sisters, Eloise Waters of Miami, Gertrude Jones of Pembroke Pines, Barbara Howell of Beach Island, S.C. and Carolyn Eason of Belleview, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Walsh were Sept. 26, 2000 at Dyal cemetery with interment following. Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke was in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Blom
RAIFORD - Dorothy Elizabeth Blom, 74, of Raiford died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Wallace, Mich., Mrs. Blom moved to Raiford in 1963. She was employed by the state as a Certified Medical Technician until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raiford.
Mrs. Blom is survived by: her husband Ingvar O. Blom of Raiford; three sons, Denis I. Blom of Lulu, Randall W. Blom of Starke and Kevin L. Blom of Jacksonville; a daughter Bonita B. Norwood of Dade City; two sisters, Eleanor Szabo and Carol Beaudoin of Stephenson, Mich.; a brother Herman Forsberg of Victorville, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Terry A. Blom and an infant daughter Bevery Joy Blom.
Funeral services for Mrs. Blom were Nov. 14, 2000 in the Chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke with the Rev. Phillip McCulough of Altamonte Springs officiating with burial in Sapp Cemetery.

Ardel Brannen
JACKSONVILLE - Ardel F. Brannen, 51, of Jacksonville died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville following a brief illness.
Born in Starke, Mr. Brannen moved to Jacksonville 27 years ago. He owned and operated Brannen Organ Service and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-71.
Mr. Brannen is survived by: his wife Beverly R. Brannen of Jacksonville; two sons, Josh Brannen and Dusty Brannen, both of Jacksonville; two brothers, Rothelle Jones of Starke and Tracy Jones of Hampton; a sister Norma Jean Faile from South Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Brannen were Nov. 13, 2000 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel in Starke with the Rev. Mike Stanley conducting the services. Interment will be in Hope cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the education fund for his sons.

Sue Carter
SEVIERVILLE - Carrie Sue Miller Carter, 62, of Sevierville, Tenn. died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. following an extended illness.
Born in Hampton, Tenn., Mrs. Carter moved to Sevierville from Daytona Beach. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired waitress for Holiday Inn in Daytona Beach.
Mrs. Carter is survived by: her mother Mae Miller of Starke; two daughters, Vicki Sue Faircloth of Sevierville and Pamela Sanders of Daytona Beach; a brother John M. Miller of Starke; two sisters, Connie Best and Phyllis Rosier, both of Starke; three grandchildren, Brandon Faircloth, Cale Faircloth of Sevierville, Tenn. and Dustin Sanders of Daytona Beach.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carter were Nov. 13, 2000 in the Chapel of DeWitt C. Jones of Starke with the Rev. Jerry Carris conducting the services. Interment was in Crosby Lake Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Walnut St., Starke, FL 32091.

Ruth Greeson
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Ruth May Martin Greeson, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000.
Born in Bainbridge, Ga., Mrs. Greeson lived most of her life in Jacksonville before moving to Keystone Heights in 1962. She was a past recorder, senior regent and junior graduate regent of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 305 and was an accountant.
Mrs. Greeson is survived by: two daughters, Dawn Greeson Smith Gordon of Charlotte, N.C. and Wanda Greeson Phillips of Jacksonville; a sister Cornelia Harrell of Moorhead City, N.C.; a brother Paul Martin of Ocala; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kelly Greeson, and a grandson Kelly H. Smith.
Funeral services for Mrs. Greeson were Nov. 15, 2000 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hunt and the Rev. Buddy Friedman officiating. Interment followed in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Garden of The Last Supper.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or Fresh Start Fellowship, Keystone Heights, FL 32656.

Mary Kosut
STARKE - Mary Della Griffis Brown Kosut, 65, of Starke died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000 from injuries suffered when she was struck by an automobile on US-301. She was a homemaker and member of the New River Baptist Church in Brooker.
Mrs. Kosut is survived by: her parents Hubert and Ruby Griffis, both of Raiford; two brothers, Carl Griffis of Raiford and Ellis Griffis of Starke; three sisters, Nella Durham, Doris Godwin and Betty Proveaux, all of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Kosut and two sons, Jimmy L. Brown and Paul D. Brown.
Graveside services for Mrs. Kosut will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000 at Santa Fe cemetery in Hampton with Randall Griffis officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000.
