Hope Jones
STARKE - Infant Hope Brianna Jones, 14-day-old daughter of John and Heather Jones of Starke, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001 at Shands of Gainesville. She was born prematurely.
In addition to her parents, Hope is survived by: a brother Craigory Jones of Starke; a sister Kaylee Jones of Starke; maternal grandparents Yvonne Rising of Starke and James Nettles of Starke; paternal grandparents Violet and Gary Doolittle of Keystone Heights; paternal great-grandmother Marzella Wolf of Raiford and maternal great-grandmother Letha Mae Nettles of Starke.
Graveside services for Hope were Jan. 29, 2001 at Sapp cemetery with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler was in charge or arrangements.

LaMarr Norman
GAINESVILLE - LaMarr Norman, 49, of Gainesville died Jan. 28, 2001 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.
Born in Starke, Mr. Norman moved to Gainesville from Orlando in 1983. He was a computer manager for the Department of Radiology at the University of Florida Health Center.
Mr. Norman is survived by: his wife Karen Norman of Gainesville; his mother and father Herbert E. and Ruth Jones Norman of Starke; a sister Barbara Norman of Starke and a niece Kim Norman of Starke.
Memorial services for Mr. Norman were Jan. 31, 2001 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville.

Edith Norris
GAINESVILLE - Edith Leona Norris, 82, of Gainesville died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at Shands at Starke following an extended illness.
Born in Putnam County, Mo., Mrs. Norris moved to Gainesville 13 years ago from Unionville, Mo. She was a homemaker and member of The Park of the Palms Chapel in Keystone Heights.
Mrs. Norris is survived by: three daughters, Barbara Early of Frederick, Md., Martha Norris of San Anselmo, Calif. and Gale Norris of Gainesville; a son David Norris of Unionville; two brothers, Glenn Adamson of Centerville, Iowa and Charles Adamson of Indianola, Iowa; five sisters, Bessie Felkner of Centerville, Vera Davis of Unionville, Edna Banks of Seymour, Iowa, Cleo Scherer of Eldon, Iowa and Jessie Lawson of Mayfield, Ky.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Norris will be held at a later date in Unionville. Jones Funeral Home of Starke is in charge of local arrangements.

Henry Prucnel
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Henry Walter Prucnel, 72, of Keystone Heights died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 at Shands at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville following an extended illness.
Born in Detroit, Mr. Prucnel moved to Keystone Heights in 1992 from Richmond, Mich. He was a hi-lo driver for the Chrysler Corporation and was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Prucnel is survived by: his wife Dorothy J. Prucnel of Keystone Heights; two daughters, Catherine Sanborn of Fraser, Mich. and Kristen Miller of Keystone Heights; two brothers, Steve Prucnel and Edmond Prucnel, both of Michigan; a sister Rita Barnes of North Carolina and two grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Prucnel will be held at a later date. Jones Funeral Home of Keystone Heights is in charge of arrangements.

Dewitt Roberts
LAKE CITY - Dewitt Reed "Witty" Roberts, 86, of Lake City died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Union County, Mr. Roberts lived most of his life in Columbia County. He was a retired farmer and U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ of High Springs.
Mr. Roberts is survived by: his wife Ina Crawford Roberts of Lake City; a daughter Trudy Dubose of Gainesville; two sons, Arthur Wayne Roberts of Lake Butler and Michael Dewitt Roberts of Lake City; two sisters, Reva O'Steen of Lake Butler and Mondell Blackwelder of Tallahassee; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberts were Jan. 28, 2001 at the Church of Christ of High Springs with Brother Roy Dicks and Brother Gene Burgett officiating. Burial followed at Philippi cemetery in Columbia County. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to: North Central Florida Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.

Rosie Sanders
JACKSONVILLE - Rosie Onzell Miller Sanders, 46, of Jacksonville died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2001 following a sudden illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Ms. Sanders returned to Jacksonville in 1981 from North Carolina. She was a waitress and was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Sanders is survived by: three sons, Christopher Lee Sanders of Middleburg, Mitchell Chad Sanders and Marshall David Sanders, both of Jacksonville; her mother Rosie Rachel Quiett Miller of Wilmington, N.C.; three sisters, Derena Lamb of Jacksonville, Delores Franco and Sharon Jacobs, both of Daytona Beach; two brothers, Lamar Q. Miller of Middleburg and Clarence D. Miller of Wilmington.
Funeral services for Ms. Sanders were Jan. 26, 2001 in the Raiford Holiness Revival Center with the Rev. Walter Quiett conducting the services. Interment was in Pine Grove cemetery in Raiford under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Starke.

Barbara Sheley
STARKE - Barbara Ann Sheley, 47, of Starke died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 following a traffic accident.
Born in Baldwin, Mrs. Sheley lived in Starke for 14 years. She was a homemaker and member of Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sheley is survived by: her mother and step-father, Marion and Ronald J. Waggoner of Starke; three brothers, Jim Simmons of Middleburg, Charles Ray Simmons and Donnie Wayne Simmons, both of Starke; a sister Donna Sue Sellers of Starke and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Ronnie Wayne Threadgill.
Memorial services for Mrs. Sheley were Jan. 31, 2001 in the Chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home in Starke with the Rev. Danny Williams officiating.

Martha Tipton
GAINESVILLE - Martha Frances Tipton, 82, of Gainesville died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
Born in Centrlin, Mo., Mrs. Tipton moved to Gainesville from Palatka 55 years ago. She was a homemaker and member of Gainesville Woman's Club, Gainesville Garden Club and First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Mrs. Tipton is survived by: a daughter Virginia Walkup of Melrose; a sister Ayleen H. Smith of Melrose and two grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tipton were Jan. 27, 2001 at the Mausoleum Chapel at Forest Meadows Memorials Park with the Rev. Lynwood Walters officiating.

Forrest Wiggins
JACKSONVILLE - Forrest Wiggins, 90, of Jacksonville died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at Shands at Jacksonville following an extended illness.
Born in O'Brien, Mr. Wiggins moved to Jacksonville from Lawtey. He retired from Camp Blanding and was a member of Pine Street Church of Christ in Starke.
Mr. Wiggins is survived by: his wife Celia Wiggins of Jacksonville; a daughter Isabella Norton; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a godson Roland Randolph of Lawtey.
Funeral services for Mr. Wiggins will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001 at True Vine Outreach Church in Starke with Elder Ross Chandler, pastor, and Elder Dewey Taylor, eulogist. Interment will be in Peetsville cemetery in Lawtey under the direction of Haile Funeral Home of Starke.
Visitation at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, family 3-4 p.m.; friends 4-8 p.m.

Mildred Yearty Hodges
1912-2005
Mildred Yearty Hodges, of Cedar Key, died August 12. Mrs. Hodges was ninety-two years of age. She is survived by her husband of seventy-two years, former State Senator Randolph Hodges and her three children, Gene Hodges, Nancy Hodges Duden and Hal Hodges. She is also survived by her sister Marie Johnson, six grand children and ten greatgrand children. Mrs. Hodges was a teacher and bookkeeper for her family`s business. She was a member of the Cedar Key United Methodist Church, the Cedar Key Womens Club, the Cedar Key Hiostorical Society and the United Daugters of the Confederacy.
Services were held August 13 at the Cedar Key Methodist Church, with Rev. Gene Zimmerman, Pastor Christopher Martin and Pastor James Howes officiating.

Julie Yearty
Julie Yearty, 19, of Gulf Hammock died July 5, 2005.
Julie was a lifelong resident of Levy County and a member of Otter Creek Baptist Church.
She graduated from Cedar Key High School in 2004 and was homecoming queen during her senior year. She earned a Bright Futures Scholarship and was a member of the Beta Club. She was attending Central Florida Community College.
Julie enjoyed playing softball and volleyball, fishing and hunting. She was a World Champion Country Western dancer.
Survivors include her parents, Danny and Charlotte Williams Yearty of Gulf Hammock; and her brother, Will Yearty of Gulf Hammock.
Services were held July 7, 2005 at Otter Creek Baptist Church.
