COPPOLA, Anthony A., 76, Tampa, died January 23, 2001. Survived by wife, Louise D. Coppola: son, John; daughter, Karen Johnson, all of Tampa; brother, John Coppola; sisters, Marie Hubbnard and Anna Texeira; grandchildren, Cherie, Dyan, Tracy, Nicole, and Christian. Born in Boston, Mass., he was a retired school teacher from the Framingham, Mass. Schools, and a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. EDENFIELD, Morris Lee, 54, of Tampa passed away January 23, 2001. Mr. Edenfield is survived by his father, Seeber Edenfield; brother, Marvin Lyons; former wife, Ivel Cantwell; three stepchildren, Michelle, Sherri and Bill; and three grandchildren. He was part owner and operator of 2-M Trucking Co., and served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietname War. He is predeceased by his stepfather and mother, C onrad and Donnie Byrd. HANSON, E. Patricia Hancock, 81, of Tampa passed away January 24, 2001. Mrs. Hanson is survived by her daughters, Wanda Barnes and Charlene Hanson; brother, Henry Hancock; sister, Mamie Lou Smith; grandson, Kevin Gay; and two great-granddaughters. She was a Unit secretary for Good Sarnaritan Hospital for 18 years, Eastern Star Windhorst Lodge, member of the former Calvary United Methodist Churc h, and a graduate of Pasco High School. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the former Calvary United Methodist, now Tampa Korean United Methodist, 750 East Waters Avenue. LARISCY, Betty J., 77 of Temple Terrace passed away January 25, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Winford; daughters, Cheryl Midkiff of Montgomery, Ala. and Deborah A. Lariscy of Bonita Springs, Fla.; sisters, Sarah Coile and Martha Shaw; and two granddaughters. She was a retired Sears employee, DAV Auxiliary and a member of Evangel Assembly of God. Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with Rev. Donald Evans officiating.

LEON, Violet, God called Violet home Wednesday, January 24, 2001, and she died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. Survivors include: dedicated husband of 42 years, Rolando Leon; son, Ray Crews and wife Cindy; her daughter, Dr. Yolanda C. Leon; her three `Angels`, granddaughters, Melissa Crews, Jennifer Crews, and Angelina `Rosie` Testa-Leon; sister-in-law, Carmela Leon; lifelong b est-friend and companion, Angelina Garcia; her beloved nieces, Marion Collazo and husband Jose Collazo, Lorraine Maniscalco and husband Dr. Jack E. Maniscalco, and Valerie Acosta; nephew, Ed `Butch` Robertson and wife Lois; grand nieces and nephews including, Zoraida and Sonia Garcia, Jorge `Yoyo` Garcia, Ernesto Leon, Andrea Maniscalco; Karen Collazo and others; dear friends Siomara Heng and Grac e Casillo; her beloved cat `Moki`; son-in-law Phil Testa, and many other family members and friends. Violet worked many years as a nurse in the original St. Joseph's Hospital, at Centro Asturiano, and various clinics. She worked as the office manager with her daughter. She tirelessly volunteered and served the Bay Region Chapter of the Florida Psychological Association, and was a past President of the Lupus Foundation of Hillsborough County. She was dedicated to her circle of family and friends lovingly known to her as `her Village`. Special thanks are extended to her dedicated, loving, and outstanding care-givers; Dr. Carlos Rozas, Dr. Jose Perez, Dr. Rodney Randall, Dr. Norman Castellano, Dr. Mark Smith, Dr. Dorece Norris, Dr. Richard Hodges; and Dr. Sanz de La Pena. Very special thanks is extended to her Doctor John DiPietro for years of dedicated care. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. McKay II. She is survived by her son, Donald B. McKay of New Port Richey, Fla.; two daughters, Jo-Ann Reed of Mesquite, Texas , and Blair Ruppanner of Boca Raton, Fla.; and ten grandchildren. A nati ve of Dothan, Ala., she has resided in the Tampa area since 1939 coming from Gainesville, Fla. She was a homemaker and a former member of Circle 4 of the Ladies Guild at Christ The King Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Christ The King Catholic Church with Father Vincent McNally S.J. celebrating. Entombment to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 9:00 until 9:30 a.m. The family requests that flowers please be omitted and contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.

PITTS, Thomas M., 88 of Tampa went to be with the Lord yesterday. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Irma; three sisters, Helen Fretz of Arlington, Va., Virginia Garcia and Ida M. Pitts, both of Tampa; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Hillsborough High School and retired after 35 years with the American Can Co. He also was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Graveside services will be held at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park on Monday at 11:00 a.m.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Alfred L.; and is survived by her loving family, Sons, Alfred E of Vero Beach, Fla, Frank D. and wife, Ginger of California; daughter, Mary Edna (Walker) Lekes and husband, Joseph; two granddaughters, Charlinda Yates and husband Art of Leesburg, Fla., Darlene Ingham of Vero Beach, Fla.; one gra ndson, Jon J. Lekes and wife Penny of Knoxville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Leonard Linder and wife Angela of Tampa, Shannon Ingham of Vero Beach, and Madison Nicole Lekes of Knoxville, Tenn.; and her loving caregiver, Helen Russell; dear friends, Nancy MacRoberts and Martha Banks; and neighbors. She graduate of Hillsborough High School Class of 1931. She was a member of The Neddlework Guil d for many years sewing for the needy and especially for the children at the Brighter Community Child Care Center of Tampa. She was a member of the Creative Writing Classes of Life Enrichment Senior Center for many years. She loved her sewing, writing poetry and short stories, working crossword puzzles was a passion. WATTS, Edward G., 40, of Tampa passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001. He is survived by his father, Guy S. Watts of Lake Placid, Fla.; and mother, Merle S. Watts of Tampa, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.

BROWN, Russell M. It is with sadness and regrets to announce that our beloved Russell of 48 years `passed away` on Sunday, January 21, 2001 after a gall bladder operation two days previously. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana; a son, Edward 10 years); a daughter, Victoria (5 years); also his mother and father. Russell, a resident of USA, expatriate of England, graduated high school there and received a Technical Engineering Certificate. He also had various construction licenses here in USA. He, together with his father, Roy J., spent the last 20 years developing and building three sub-divisions, Lake Dorothea Groves, Chalfont Heights (Fort King Road Area) and Chalfont Village (off Court Street). We all loved him so dearly. The great sadness that has settled in our hearts will las t forever. A funeral service for Mr. Brown will be held Friday, January 26, 2001 at 12:00 Noon in the Richey Chapel Funeral Home on North Avenue in Zephyrhills. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, January 25, 2001, from 6-8:00 p.m. and also Friday morning prior to the service at Richey Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Oakside Cemetery in Zephyrhills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the children of Russell Michael Brown. CLARK, Sara B., of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away January 23, 2001. She is survived by three children, Patty Ann Marquis of Waterbury, Connecticut; two sons, Larry and Gary Clark of Zephyrhills, Florida; two sisters, Helen Brown of Inman, South Carolina and Corine Reed of Tecumseh, Michigan; and one brother, Dean Winters. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband Elwood J. Clark preceded her in death in August, 1986. She is also predeceased by her brother, Charles Fisher, of Pennsylvania , her father Harry L. Barker and her mother Helen Treaster. She was born January 8, 1921 in State College, Pennsylvania and moved to Zephyrhills in 1959 from Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania . NICHOLS, Joe A., 78, of Trilacoochee, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at home. A native of Georgia, he had been a resident of this area for 70 years. He was a retired truck driver and was Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Clara; two sons, James of Burlington, Ill., and Gerald of Trilacoochee; a daughter, LaDonnia Nichols of Trilacoochee; two sisters, Viola Cunningham of Lakeland a nd Irene Bush of Auburndale; two brothers, Edward of Richland and Samuel of Jonesboro, Ark.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. TODAY with Pastor Eldridge Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
