JULIAN, Mildred E.,of Holiday, died January 22, age 54. She is survived by three sons, three daughters, two brothers, 23 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.

KNOWELL, Shirley, 67, a resident of Lithia, passed away January 21, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Lee Knowell of Lithia and Larry Knowell, Seymour, Ind.; three daughters, Sheila Knowell and Kathy Bradshaw both of Plant City; Teresa Bradshaw of Lithia; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

KROHN, Betti Jean, passed away January 21, 2001. There are no living relatives. A Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2001 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

LAWSON, Everett Emanuel, 81, a resident of Valrico and former resident of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, passed away, January 20, 2001. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Marian Ellinwood Lawson, Valrico; two sons, Everett N. Lawson, Utica, Mich. and Robert J. Lawson, Yale, Mich.; three sisters, Belinda Wilkerson, St. Petersburg, Marquita Kujawski, Chicago, Ill. and Wanda Simone, Detroit, Mich.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Lawson was a World War II Army Veteran; served in the 503 Parachute Infantry as a paratrooper. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts, an Asiatic Pacific Theatre Campaign Medal, a Good Conduct Medal and an American Defense Service Medal. He was a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter #9 in St. Petersburg and a member of the Americ an Legion Post in Seminole and of the Assembly of God faith. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25 at 4:00 p.m. at Hopewell Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Hemphill officiating. Interment will follow Friday, January 26, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to D.A.V. Chapter #9 in St. Petersburg.

MARKISON, Kenneth L., of Tampa, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2001. Survivors include his sons, Jack, Jay and Joel Markison; daughter, Joy Maramara; sister, Delorys McNevins; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr Markison was born in Lakeville, Minn., before moving to Tampa in 1954. Memorial services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday at The Garden of Memories Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

MATHON, Michael E., 53, of Zephyrhills passed away Sunday, January 21, 2001. Preceded in death by his father, Edward Mathon; brother, Gary Mathon; and sister, Patricia O'Brian. He is survived by a son and his wife, Michael R. and Tammy Mathon of Granite City, Ill.; mother, Dorothy Mathon of Riverview; two sisters, Becky Focht and Judy Hayes, both of Granite City, Ill.; sister-in-law, Deborah Ma thon of Seffner; two granddaughters, Morgan and Kelsey Mathon; and fiancee, Judy Schoenig of Zephyrhills. A native of Carlinville, Ill., he has resided in Zephyrhills for six years coming from Tampa. He was a truck driver for Stepps Transport of Tampa and a Navy Vietnam veteran. A Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in his memory.

MAY, Nina Wetherell, 82, of Largo, died Monday, January 22, 2001. Survivors include her son, Dan May, Asheville, N.C., three daughters, Barbara Tyndall, Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., Lillian Chatham, Lafayette, Colo., Nina Minor, Tampa, step-son, Mallory May, Plano, Texas , brother, Dr. O.D. Wetherell, Tampa, sister, Barbara Stanton, Miami, Fla., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr s. May retired from GTE in 1982 and was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

McINTYRE, Bernice Louise, 88, of Tampa, died January 22, 2001. Mrs. McIntyre was a lifelong resident of the Tampa area. She was an Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Pasco Motors in Dade City and Bookkeeper for Lacoochee Elementary School, member of Oak Grove Church of God and founding member of White Chapel Church of God in Dade City. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funera l home with Pastor Dennis Huebner, Oak Grove Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m.

MENDERS, Frank went to his heavenly home on January 22, 2001. His survivors include his beloved wife, Adele, his loving son and wife, Frank and Leslie Bagon; his brothers, Fr. August Mendonsa, Walter Menders; his sister, Hazel Anderson and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. So many of them came thousands of miles for his gala 90th birthday celebration. Frank was born in the Azores and lived in Rhode Island until he came to the New York City area, and then settled in Lutz 13 years ago. He belonged to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O'Lakes and was a member of the Lutz Senior Citizens Center. Frank was a true gentleman and we all felt his genuine warmth He treasured his dear wife, Adele and asked us to take good care of her. He will always be remembered for his fam ous salutations `Worry About Nothing` and `May God and Mary be with you`. Those of us who knew him feel blessed as he felt blessed to have settled in Lutz where he had so many wonderful neighbors and friends. Special thanks go to LifePath Hospice, Lutz Volunteer Fire Department, and Dr. R. Palumbo, Dr. H. Cacciatore, and Dr. S. Baldwin. Visitation will be held between 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001. Services and burial will take place in Rhode Island. Memorial contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 West Azeele Street, Tampa, FL 33609.

He was the loving father of Joyce Michael of College Park, Md., Darylann Maddocks of Mount Lake, Wash., Rachel Haggenmaker of Cape Coral, Fla., and Julie Moore of LaGrange, Ind.; grandfather of eight and brother of Ollie Moore and Ethal Moran. Friends may call at Lee Funeral Home, Inc., Branch Ave. and Coventry Way, Clinton, Md. on Wednesday f rom 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday, January 25, at 11:30 p.m. Internment Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery, Forestville, Md. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the Lions Foundation, P.O. Box 38, Avon Park , FL 33826.

MURRAY, Bette Ann age 65, of Tampa, passed away January 22, 2001. A native of Syracuse, New York and resident of Tampa for the past 14 years. Mrs. Murray is survived by her husband, Robert Murray; sons, Dennis Murray and wife, Lauren and Michael Murray; daughters, Patti Steinberger and husband, Mark, Cheryl Whelan and husband, Tom; mother, Winifred M. Fesko; sister, Marilyn Legnetto and ten grandchildren. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 9:00 p.m. at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date in Syracuse, New York.

He was a Veteran of World War II and lived in Tampa 35 years. He was born in Holt, Mich. REID, Thelma E., 80, of Tampa, died January 23, 2001. She was predeceased by her late beloved son, Larry Edward Smith. She is survived by her one son, Richard L. Smith and wife Kathy of Cleveland, Texas ; two daughters, Ellen Morgan and husband W. E. of Greenville, Fla., Margie Partain and husband Bobby of White, Ga.; two sisters, Elizabeth McCall of Zephyrhills, Fla., Blanche Leto of St. Peters burg, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Mrs. Reid was a lifelong Tampa resident and a member of East Chelsea Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Thonotosassa, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5-8:00 p.m.

Schepman, Jr., wife Soyna and two grandchildren; parents, Jim and Joy Gross of Tampa; paternal grandmother, Margaret Lima of Temple Terrace; mother-in-law, Edna Schepman of C incinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Brian Broker and wife Molly of Tampa and James Broker and wife Bobbie of Tampa; three sisters, Kellie Broker of Tampa, DaVel Paul and husband Frank of Pinelevel, N.C. and Dina Broker of Tampa; two nephews; eight nieces and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include a sister, Mary Alice Taylor of Foley, Ala.; five children, Scott Stratton of Tampa, Christy Abbott of Walnut Creek, Calif., Alice Stratton of Brooksville, Fla., Stacey Hatcher of Valrico, Fla., and Andrew Stratton of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. TAYLOR, Norma ValJean, 72, of Tampa, passed away at home on January 21, 2001. She was born in Harrisburg, Pa. She worked in Tampa as an insurance agent until retiring in the 70s. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ben E. Taylor Jr. who passed away last year. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy K. Herman, her son-in-law James and Granddaughters Chelsea and Tia Herman who all reside in Lake Wales, Florida. Jean also is survived by several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

THOMPSON, Charles E., age 82, of Plant City died January 21, 2001. Survivors include his daughters, Anita Quigley, Philadelphia, Pa., Gail Hanson, and Janet Thompson both of Plant City, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Thompson came to Plant City 20 years ago from his native, Philadelphia, Pa. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and worked as a security officer for a prison and armored cars. Private services will be held.

WILDER, Austin N., 84, of Temple Terrace, passed away January 23, 2001. He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 55 years; a brother, Daniel Barry Wilder of Gainesville; two sons, Robert J. Wilder and his wife Peg of Plant City, Brian V. Wilder and his wife Marilyn of Tampa; grandchildren, Amanda, Barton, Michael and Robert. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and worked for Tampa Elect ric from 1940 to his retirement in 1979. His career was interrupted by his five years of service in the U.S. Army during World War II. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning, January 25, 2001, from 10:00 to noon. Final interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. ABBOTT, Clemmie L., age 86 of Tampa, passed away January 20, 2001. Survivors include: son, Vernon L. Abbott, Neb.; daughter, Willene Mattingly, Lakeland, Fla.; brother, J.S. Grimsley, Ga., seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

DUCKWORTH, Lois M., 69, of Lutz, passed away January 22, 2001 at her home. She is survived by one son, Barry L. of Tampa; two daughters, Patricia Floyd of St. Petersburg, Catherine Leslie of Plant City; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. She was born in Waynesboro, Pa. She was a school bus driver for thirty years for Hillsborough Co. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursd ay at Lutz Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Loyless Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the LifePath Hospice.
