BRITTON, Anna L. Meloy, 87, of Zephyrhills, formally of Dade City, died December 19, 2000 in Hospice House, Dade City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alford `Red` Meloy; her second husband, Ira Britton; a son, William `Robert` Meloy; and a great-great-granddaughter, Cierra Neils. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Florence) Coen, Steubenville, Ohio; six grandchild ren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial was in Ohio. COSTA, John A., 71, of Zephyrhills, died Sunday, December 31, 2000, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Christine; three sons, Donald and his wife Holly, of Venice, Fla.; James of Mentor, Ohio; and John of Highland Heights, Ohio; two stepsons, Vince Gentiluomo and his wife Cathy, of Perry Township, Ohio; and Syl Gentiluomo and his wife Linda of Avon, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Toni and her husband, Tim Essen of Medina, Ohio; one sister, Charlotte Beck of Glencoe, Mo.; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Costa moved to Zephyrhills in 1997. He was a model and tool maker for Belcan Engineering, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in Wickliffe, Ohio, and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 118, the Moose Lodge #2276, the Elks Lodge #2731, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, all of Zephyrhills. COWEN, Sue Zanne, 66 of Zephyrhills passed away December 29, 2000 in Zephyrhills. Survivors include her husband, Dan Cowen; son, Dan A. and wife Tracy Cowen; daughters, Tracey and husband Mike O'Donnell and Mari Beth Cowen; three grandchildren, Mike, Alisha and Danielle, all of Zephyrhills; her mother, Maxine Tolsma of LeMars, Iowa; a sister, Jeanette Tolsma of West Covina, Calif.; and a brothe r Edgar Tolsma of Tustin, Calif. GRECCO, Betty H., 81, passed December 24, 2000 in Zephyrhills. Survived by a son John Grecco of Blue Springs, Mont.; a daughter Joan Kyle of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father George Rozycki officiating. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery. Born Ma y 6, 1919 in Johnstown, N.Y., she was formerly of Carsga Lake, N.Y. Mrs. Grecco was Valedictorian at Johnstown High School and became a teacher at Warren St. School in Johnstown for 24 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Ladies Aux. of the VFW post 510 in Johnstown, N.Y. and past NYS Dept. president of the Ladies Aux. of the VFW. LAMKE, Joseph `Joe`, 79, of Dade City, died Sunday, December 31, 2000 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Dewey) Alford, of Dade City and Jacqueline (Webb) Clarke, of Zephyrhills; a son, James (Linda) Pike, of Dade City; and three grandchildren, Johnny Clements III, of Tampa, Tiffany Alford, of Dade City and Tara (Steve) Roenicke, of Dade City. A pioneer family of San Antonio, Fla., he was a graduate of Milton S. Hersey, Pa. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a retired carpenter and was a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge and was Christian. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2001. McBATH, Donald L., D.O., 65, beloved Physician and Friend, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at home. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ruth Southerland McBath; two sons, Donald L. McBath, J.D., of Tampa and Daniel P. McBath, D.O., of Dade City; a daughter, Donna Ruth Bassett, of Zephyrhills; nine grandchildren, Donald L. McBath III, Stephanie R. McBath, Dominique R. McBath and Hutch McBath, all of Tampa, Jeremy Bassett and Jonathan Bassett, both of Zephyrhills, Brandon McBath, Brooke McBath and Brittaney McBath, all of Dade City; his mother, Phyllis McBath, who has been in the service of the Lord for the last 38 years at Christ the King Monastery in Delray Beach, Fla. and has been known as Sister Mary Joseph; three aunts, Estelle Nied, of Chicago, Jayne Zappen, of California and Eugenia Dembinski, of Wisconsin; and two brother-in-laws, Billy Southerland, of Gainesville and Richard Southerland, of Freeport, Fla. Dr. McBath is a native of Chicago, Ill. and moved to Dade City in 1970 from Kansas City where he completed his training in Osteopathic Medicine. He was a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Dade City and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member and Past President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and was also a member of the American Oste opathic Association and was a National Convention Program Chairman and a member of the House of Delegates of this organization. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and was President of this organization in 1991-92. He was also a member and National Convention Committee Member and House of Delegates Member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is listed in Who's Who in the World, In America, In Medicine and Healthcare, In Science and Engineering and In the South and Southwest. He was on the Board of Trustees at St. Leo University, a member of the East Pasco Medical Center Foundation and was on the board of Directors in 1998 and Chairman in 1993-94. He was the Pasco High School Team P hysician for 25 years and served as Grand Marshall for the Pasco County Fair in 1987 and was on the Advisory Council for Pasco High School from 1977-81. He was also a member of the First Union National Bank of Florida Advisory Board as well as the East Pasco Medical Center Hospital. He was a Pasco County Fair Judge from 1985-1994. His honors include the Distinguished military Graduate from the Uni versity of Florida in 1957, Diplomat of the National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians in 1970, Outstanding Contribution Award, H.R.S. in 1970, General Practitioner of the Year for the American College of Osteopathic Physicians 1990-91, Certified Correctional Health Professional 1991, Special Services Award for the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administration and a Life Time Achieve ment Award from the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2001. The family will receive friends at the church from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2001 with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers will include Wayne Cobb, Tom Hines, Hjalma Johnson, George Carver, Sam Bala, Marcelino Oliva, Lowell Harris, and John McTaggart. Honorary pallbearers will include Tom Clark, Glen Greenfelder, K. T. Johns, Joe DeLaTorre, Bill Tingley and Al Kiefer. McKAY, Geneva, 61, of Dade City, died Friday, December 30, 2000 at home. Survivors include her husband, Willie McKay; three sons, Terry (Carolyn) and Stephen (Denise), both of Dade City, and Robert Woods, of Brooksville; three brothers, Jimmy Morrell, of Brooksville, Frank Morrell, of Dade City and Willie C. Morrell, of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Susie Ward, of Syracuse, N.Y. and Louvanna Mon roe, of Tampa; and four grandchildren. A native of Monticello, Fla. she was a long time resident of this area. She was a Nurses Aid and a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Funeral Services will be held at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2001. MOHLER, Harlan John (Hank), Retired USAF Lt. Col., 66, of Dade City, Fla., passed away suddenly Saturday, December 30, 2000 at his home. Hank is survived by his wife, Wanda Mohler, Dade City, Fla.; two sons, Matthew John Mohler and Karl Daniel Mohler, both of Dade City, Fla.; two sisters, Gerry Anspach and Donna Anderson, both of Lebanon, Pa. Born December 7, 1934, in Lebanon, Pa., he retired t o Dade City in 1978 after 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a navigator and later head of data communications at Travis Air Force Base in California. Since moving to Dade City, he worked in the Pasco County Data Center. He moved on to become Director of MIS for the Pasco County Clerks Office serving over 22 years for Pasco County. Hank was an active BSA Scout leader for Troop 406 in Ridge Man or. He was the founding member of Pack 428 and served as leader and committee chairman. Hank also was a leader in Cub Scout Pack 301 and Troop 402 for many years. Hank's scouting achievements included attaining the Rank of Eagle Scout and being honored with the vigil honor of Order of the Arrow. Hank was a National Eagle Scout Association member as well as a Lifetime member of the VFW Post #4283 a nd Pioneer Florida Museum. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. PARIS, Dell J.,82, of Zephyrhills passed away Sunday, December 31, 2000 at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills. Dell is survived by his wife of ten years, Ruby; two sons: Dan Paris of Strawberry Point and Dave Paris of San Antonio, Texas ; two step-sons, Robert `Bob` Hartwig and Bill Hartwig and one step-daughter, Janet Rodgers, all of Zephyrhills; five grandchildren and four step-grandchil dren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Richey Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Buddy Hollyfield and Pastor Keith Reilly officiating. Interment will take place later in the week in Dell's hometown of Strawberry Point, Iowa. Born in Dolan, S.D. June 26, 1918 he had been a winter visitor to Zephyrhills for the pass ten years. While in Zephyrhills, he attended the First Presbyterian Church and w as a member of the First United Methodist Church in Strawberry Point. In his lifetime he had been a farmer, contractor, a bus driver in the Strawberry Point School District and retired from Payless-Cashway Lumber Company in Manchester, Iowa. He had been active in the Masonic Lodge in Strawberry Point as well as the Fire Dept. in Zephyrhills as a volunteer. In lieu of flowers the family requests th at donations in his memory be made to the Zephyrhills Fire Dept. or First Presbyterian Church Fund. Schaal of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren. Born in Greenville, South Carolina she moved to this area 29 years ago from Land 0' Lakes, Fla. ARAGONA, Flossie Lee, age 86, of Tampa, passed away December 31, 2000. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Woodrow and William Godwin; and grandson, Michael Glover. Bart was the Personnel Director for the Maas Brothers Department store in West Central Flor ida and the proprietor of The Ceramic Shed (a.k.a. Bart's Ceramics) for many years. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Masonic Lodge, Bay Area Twirlers Square Dance Club, Limonadors #139 Camping Club, the former Villa Curli Q's and West Coast Square Dance Assoc. Bart was a veteran of World War II . He sewed in the Pacific Theater on Guadalcanal. Bart was also a charter member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Temple Terrace. CERNUDA, Victoria,age 82 of Tampa, passed away December 30, 2000. Preceded in death by her husband, Filiberto Cernuda and her parents, Antonio and Consuelo Suarez, she is survived by her brother, Alfonso Suarez and sister-in-law, Rosa, nephew, Manuel Suarez, niece, Jo Ann Mesa, Great Nephews Shaun Mesa and great niece. Mariann Suarez. Private Graveside Funeral Services will be held this afternoon (Wednesday) at 1 o'clock at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park.
