BIRMINGHAM, Mr. James C., 54, of Tampa, passed Thursday, September 13, 2001 of natural causes. He was a devoted husband, father, son , grandfather, brother and friend. Survivors include his wife, Cienwen; two daughters, Rene' and Jodi; and one daughter, Traci, who preceded him in death. He is also survived by his parents, Ancel and Bea; two granddaughters, Ashley and Sable; five sisters, Jane, Mary, Susan, Cindy and Lynn. He was raised in Louisville, Ky., and resided in Tampa for 25 years. He was a commercial real estate broker and a member of the C.A.B.A. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Glass Funeral Home Chapel. BRADLEY, George W., 58, longtime baseball front office executive and Chicago White Sox special assistant to general manager Ken Williams, passed away unexpectedly of cardiac arrest September 14, 2001 in Tampa, Fla. Survivors include his mother and father, Mary and Kenneth Hartnagel; sisters, Sandra Lawson and Kenna Ellinger; brother, Michael Hartnagel; stepsister, Joann Ruhl; uncle, J.F. Lucas; nephews, Patrick Lawson, R.J. Ellinger, Derek and Kyle Hartnagel; nieces, Amy Ellinger, Robin Desmond and Angie Newhouse. Mr. Bradley was hired by the White Sox in September 1991 as their national crosschecker and held a variety of positions with the organization before being named special assistant to Williams prior to the 2001 season. Mr. Bradley, who was named baseball's East Coast Scout of th e Year in 2000, also worked for the NHL's Detroit Red Wings, the Oakland A's (1968-71), Philadelphia Phillies (1972-80), Detroit Tigers (1981-85), California/Anaheim Angels (1986-88) and the New York Yankees (1988-91). Funeral Services will be held at a later date at Irwin-Scott Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Ill. Interment will be in Bartlett Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill. Marguerite, 84, passed away on September 11, 2001 at her home in Tampa, Fla., where she had been a resident since 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, former Chief of Police in Tampa, Neil G. Brown. She is survived by her son, Michael Neil Brown, of Tampa, her daughter and son-in-law, George and Sharon Ann Brown Dragneff, of Tampa, five grandchildren, three great-grandchi ldren, a niece, two nephews and many cousins. Mrs. Brown was born in Linden, Florida, where she met and married her high school sweetheart. She was a homemaker, a member of the Linden United Methodist Church, The Greater Tampa Woman's Club, The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Mary Custis Lee Chapter, Clearwater, and was a Legionnaire with The Sons of Confederate Veterans, John T. Leslie Camp. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, Sept. 17, 2001 at the Linden United Methodist Church, Linden, FL. Interment will follow in Linden Cemetery. Following the cemetery service there will be a reception at the church. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. BURSA, Bessie Zavadil, 91, died Friday, September 14, 2001, at John Knox Village. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Martin; son-in-law; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in Chicago, she moved to St. Petersburg from Indianapolis in 1967, and to Tampa in 1996. She was a past Worthy Matron of Bethlehem Chapter 169 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

He worked in computer engineering for Honeywell, Paradyne, Nokia, Sybus, as well as other local companies. David had a pilot's license and had flown from Clearwater Airport. CLEAVER, Robert Edward, 66 of Seffner, Fla. passed away Thursday, September 13, 2001 of Lung Cancer. He is survived by his wife, Carol R. Born and raised in Erie, Penn., one of five children, Richard, Whitey, Patricia Curry and Mary Ellen Crane. He was loved by all that he touched. He came to the area 6 years ago from Savannah, Ga. Retired from the Federal Government agency, OSHA after 25 years as an assistant Area Director and retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith. CRAMER, Eric, age 32, of Tampa passed away from heart failure September 13, 2001. Eric was a loving, wonderful, strong, and generous husband, father, son, brother, grandson, cousin, uncle and friend to everyone. An overall amazing person ! LEVY, Barbara Adela, died Friday, September 14, 2001. A native of Tampa, Mrs. Levy was born on December 20, 1912. She was a homemaker and also a sales clerk at W.T. Grant Department Store. Mrs. Levy lived for several years in New York and St. Petersburg with her beloved husband, Edward Jack Levy, who died in 1999. She is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Foerster and his wife, Peggy, Zephyrhills and Michael G. Foerster and his wife, Dianne, Brandon; grandchildren, Liesl Marie Doty and her husband, Rich, of Wisconsin, Michael J. BROWN, Eugene William, died in the presence of his daughters, Jeanie and Chrissy and son-in-law Sean in the Saint Bernadette wing of Bon Secours-Maria Manor, Saint Petersburg, Florida on Saturday evening, August 25, 2001. Gene was born July 1, 1916 to Chester Arthur Brown and Honora Catherine (McDonnell) Brown in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his sisters, Hilda, Mary, Eileen, Viola and brothers, George and Chester. He was also predeceased by the two loves of his life, his wife of forty-seven years, Ruth Lillian (Hausler) Brown of Albany, New York, and by his fiancee Ada Harling of Valatie, New York. Family he loved and who loved him include daughter Patricia and husband John Byrne of Albany, New York; daughter Jeanie and husband Sean Fitzsimmons-Brown of Tampa, Florida ; daughter Christine and husband Norman Young of Nassau, New York; his sister Therese and husband Thomas McDermid of Bradenton, Florida; and grandchildren, Mary-Jo Khan, Lisa Brown, Erin Byrne, Dr. Michael Kopach, Jennifer Keller, Lauren Bristow, Gregory Young, Elizabeth Young, and great-grandchildren, Monica Khan, Marissa Brown, Christian Brown, Kari Langford, Isaac Kopach, Adam Kopach, Rebecca K opach and many nieces, nephews and caregivers at Bon Secour. Gene graduated in 1936 from St. Ann High School in Albany, New York as president of his Senior Class. He held employment with the New York Central Railroad and R.B. Wing of Rennselaer, New York. He lived most of his life in Albany and later at the family cottage at Kinderhook Lake, New York. He wintered for many years on Anna Maria Islan d in Florida and was an avid fan of basketball, fishing, and horse racing. He also enjoyed square dancing and music. A Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Albany for the family in that area. A Memorial Mass will be held for his family and friends in the Florida area at Bon Secours-Maria Manor Chapel, 10300 4th Street North, Saint Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, September 16, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. Interment of his ashes will take place at the family plot in Saint John the Evangelist Cemetery, Valatie, New York at a later date. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 300 East Bay Drive, Largo, Florida, 33770, or to the Angel Care Program of Bon Secours-Maria Manor, 10300 4th Street North, Saint Petersburg, Florida 33716.
