MURCHISON, Louise 73, passed away March 18, 2002 in Zephyrhills. Survived by husband, Al; son; daughters; grandsons; and sisters. Services will be in Maine.

NORMAN, Ethel P., a native of Tennessee, born August 2, 1903, died March 19, 2002 at Heartland of Zephyrhills, where she received loving cared for three years. She was predeceased by her parents, P.M. and Ellen Pride Bowden; four brothers; two sisters; her beloved husband, W. H. Norman; an infant daughter and a great-grandson. Since her husband's death in 1967, she has been a member of the Will iams family. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Margie and Don Williams; her granddaughter and family, Debbie, Gary, Jessica, Lindsey and Carley Steve; grandson, Scott Williams; grandson and family Dave, Onelissa, Ashley and Bryan Williams; grandson and wife, Marty and Sheila Williams all of Zephyrhills, Fla.; granddaughter and family, Donna, Mike and Breezy Emmanuel of Tampa; great-grandson and wife, Don and April Williams, and Christmas baby, great-great-granddaughter, Averie Williams of North Carolina. Also surviving are sisters, Jean Ensor of Smyrna, Georgia, and Loma Pollman of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends of her almost 99 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Wesley Chapel, and a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, St. Mary Chapter #11 in Tennessee. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 22, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Chapel Hill Gardens in Dade City with Rev. A. C. Bryant officiating. Interment will follow the service in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the Music Department of Trinity Methodist Church.

SUSALLA, Marie, 91, of Margate and formerly of Holiday, died March 19, 2002. Survived by daughter, Sandra Scaffetti; two brothers; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

TALLMAN, Bill, 76, of Zephyrhills, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2002 in Zephyrhills. He is survived by his wife, Joyce C. Tallman of Zephyrhills; five children, Ellen Hartgraves of Lakeland, B. Gail Plomaritis of Leavenworth, Kan., Ronald G. Tallman of Zephyrhills, Jacqueline R. Rohan of Lansing, Kan. and Richard W. Tallman of Zephyrhills; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He w as born July 7, 1925 in Englewood, N.J., and moved to Zephyrhills 33 years ago from Tampa. He was a retired Service Technician from Sears and was a member of the Charity Baptist Church, the Pasco Sams Club, and the US Navy Armed Guard. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2002 at the Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City with Pastor Bill Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Cha pel Hill Gardens. Friends may call Friday (tomorrow) from 6-8 p.m. at the Oakley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association c/o 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road #415, Maitland, FL 32751-7105.

WALLACE, Wendy Jo, 37, of Zephyrhills, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002 in St. Petersburg, Fla. She is survived by her husband, Craig M. Wallace of Zephyrhills; two sons, Jacob Fisher and Luke Fisher, both of Zephyrhills; her mother, Connie Sorenson of Deltona, Fla; one brother, Rob Sorenson of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Carmen Sorenson of Deltona; her aunt, Lanean Hughes of Dallas, Texas ; several cousins; her mother-in-law, Betty McCormick; her father-in-law, Jack Wallace; and many of Craig's relatives including siblings, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Sorenson. She was a Teacher at Centennial Elementary School, an Aerobics Instructor at the Y.M.C.A., and was a member of the National Federation of Teachers. Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. , Thursday (today) at the First Presbyterian Church in Zephyrhills with Dr. Buddy Hollyfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to the Wendy Wallace YMCA Scholarship Fund, c/o Dr. Buddy Hollyfield, 5510 19th Street, Zephyrhills, FL 33540.

ABRAMS, Mel, MD, passed away March 18, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie A. Berns; daughter, Elizabeth Abrams; father, Abe Abrams; and sister, Raylene Fenton. Dr. Abrams was a graduate of Indiana University Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was a board certified ear, nose, and throat specialist in private practice with Physician's Hearing and Dizziness Center in Tampa, Florida. He has been practicing medicine in Hillsborough County for over 20 years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2002, 2:00 p.m., at the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, with Rabbi Brian Zimmerman of Congregation Beth Am officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday at 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.

BAYS, Duane L., age 62, passed from this life on March 19, 2002. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Bays. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary; his children and their spouses, Dee and Jeff Mills, of Tampa; Troy and Sandielee Aves, of Garden Plain, Kan.; Deborah Andrews; Duane L. Bays, II, both of Eustis, Fla.; and Desire Bays, of Beaumont, Texas . He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sandra Aves, of Garden Plain, Kan.; Brittany Mills, Lauren Mills, Cody Mills, all of Tampa; Shelby Andrews, Riley Fitzgerald, Amanda Bays, Dustin Bays, Brandon Bays and Katie Bays, all of Eustis, Fka. He was owner and founder The Fourth Dimension. He was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St Mark's Episcopal Ch urch, 13335 Casey Road. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the Blount Curry Roel, Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave from 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Mark's Episcopal Church Building Fund.

DiANGELO, Leroy J., 88, passed away March 17, 2002 in Sun City Center. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Larsen of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at the United Community Church in Sun City Center.

EAKINS, Shirlene, 55, a resident of Plant City, passed away March 20, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Charles Eakins; son, Lawrence Eakins; two daughters, Michelle Davis and Cindy Smith; three brothers, Jewel Graves, James Graves and Bobby Graves; two sisters, Ovida Bates and Thelma Brinkley; five grandchildren, Bill Smith, Shayla Davis, Dustin Davis, Clayton Davis and Aaron Eakins. Mrs. Eakins was a lifelong resident of Plant City and a member of Countryside Baptist Church of Dover. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 25, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

GARRETT, Dr. Spencer Roberts, 81, a resident of Plant City, passed away March 19, 2002. He is survived by two sons, Spencer Roberts Garrett, Jr. of Seattle, Wash.; and John McCollum Garrett of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Sarah Lynn Garrett of Portland, Ore.; one brother, George Wilbur Garrett of Hamilton, Ga.; one sister, Caroline G. Wills of Lakeland; one grandson, Adam Rogan Jones of Portland , Ore.; one niece, Ellen Hyatt of Tallahassee, Fla; and two nephews, Hudson Garrett of Columbus, Ga., and Alec Garrett of Hamilton, Ga. Dr. Garrett was a Navy pilot and received his wings in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He graduated from Duke Medical School in 1953. Dr. Garrett enjoyed his involvement with the `Sun-N-Fun Fly ln` whose idea was conceived in his garage while working on a home built airplane with his friend Billy Henderson. He was an active member and President of the Lakeland Rotary Club and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Garrett practiced ophthalmology in Lakeland for 30 years before going to the V.A. Hospital in Orlando where he was Chief of Ophthalmology. His recent projects in retirement were writing a book of memoirs and family genealogy. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. from First Baptist Church of Plant City with Dr. Ron Churchill officiating. There will also be a memorial service held Monday, March 25, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. from the Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in Columbus, Georgia. Interment will follow in Columbus, Ga.

GILLES, Marjorie, 72, passed away March 19, 2002 in Brandon. Born in St. Paul, Minn., she moved to this area in 1988. She was a Catholic and a Homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Casper; sons, Michael, Patrick and Brian; daughters, Kathleen, Colleen, Maureen, Pauline and Jolene; and 27 grandchildren. Services will be in Minnesota.

GLEATON, Dwight Kenneth, age 50, of Miami, died suddenly on Feb. 4, 2002. He was a Tampa native, having lived in Miami for the past seventeen years. He is survived by his wife, Gail Stevens Gleaton; twins, Allie and Cole Gleaton, all of Miami, his parents, Myrna and Carroll Gleaton; a brother, C. Wayne Gleaton and wife Linda; and a sister, Jinkey Gleaton Barker, all of Tampa; also several nieces, nephews, numerous loving in-laws and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Rev. Rapley Armstrong will officiate. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions to the Trust Fund that has been set up for the twins Cole and Allie.

Harris, Jr.; daughters, Gail Lynn Burton, Lori Ann Heath; step-daughter, Ann Woodall; brother, Charles Pate; half-brother, James Pate; step-sister, Sylvia Detweiller and eleven grandchildren. Doris was Protestant by faith and a member of the New Hope Community Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 23, 2002 at the New Hope Community Church, 6002 Lakeside Dr. Lutz, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The family will also be receiving friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. The burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
