MARTIN, George Jr., 84, of Sun City Center, died Aug. 28, 2002. Born in Adams County, Ind on Jan. 4, 1918, he was a retired commercial feed salesman with Central Soya. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Riverview, and the Elks Lodge. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Else Martin; daughter, Karen L. Richards of Austell, Ga.; son, George D. Martin of Sun City Center , Fla.; brother, Kenneth Martin of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Kriste Carey, Kathy Mauldin, Karre Gilbert, Leeanne Martin, Ron Richards, Marty Richards, Dan Richards, Georgia Reese and Kelle Kelley; 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel, 1400 36th Ave. E., Ellenton. Entombment will follow at Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton.

McINTOSH, Florine Willie, 87, of Tampa, died August 26, 2002 at Woodbridge Nursing Home. Born in Tennessee, she is survived by sons, Richard H. and Michael G. McIntosh; four grandchildren, Michelle, Teresa, Samantha and Richard Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Tampa.

PARDO, Jim R., 86, of Tampa, passed away August 28, 2002 in Tampa. Mr. Pardo was preceded in death by his wife Mary Noto Pardo and daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarie Gil and Dan E. Gil. Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Pardo; son, Johnny Noda; grandchildren, Lori Esposito and husband John, and Derek Gil and wife Yvette; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren Esposito and Brennen Gil; and his dog Trigger. As a lifelong resident of Tampa Jim owned and operated the grocery and produce market at the corner of 9th Ave. and 22nd St. Jim retired his career as an employee of the City of Tampa Parks Department. Active pallbearers include Derek Gil, John Esposito, Johnny Noda, Peter Noto, Peter Ferrante, Frank Leto, Dale Brown and Tom Leto. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Leto, Phillip Leto, Jr., Al Noto and Larry Gil. A Funeral Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated Saturday morning ten o'clock at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. PEELER, Emily Willis, 96, of Brandon, Fla. passed away Thursday, August 29, 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Scott L. Peeler, Sr. Survivors include, one son, Scott L. Peeler, Jr. of Valrico, Fla.; one daughter, Barbara P. Johnson of Seffner, Fla.; two grandchildren, Dr. Charles H. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Clermont, Fla. and Gary R. Johnson and his wife, Lisa of Lithia, Fla.; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A native of Atlanta, Ga., she moved to this area from Knoxville, Tenn. in 1974. She was a member of the Seffner First United Methodist Church, Brandon Senior Citizen's Group, Tampa Bay Area Camellia Society, AARP of Brandon, charter member of the Tampa Bay History Center and a former member of the Tampa Hi storical Society. Funeral services will be held at the Stowers Brandon Chapel Saturday, August 31, 2002 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. PUPELLO, Sam, 89, a native and lifelong resident of Tampa passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2002. Mr. Pupello was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grand father. He was a retired business man and investor and a well known and respected member of the community. Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Sandra; and his children, Marilyn Downing, Sam Pupello, Jr., J. V. Pupello, and his wife Linda; step-daughters, Kim Grandoff and husband John, Lisa Schalk and husband Jim, Debi Rivera and husband Alex; grandchildren, Vincent J. Downing, Jamie Lynn Oliva, Thomas and Michael Grandoff, Taylor and Courtney Schalk, Kendall and Ricky Rivera; great-grandchildren, Angelina and Alexandra Oliva; brother, Frank Pupello and wife Nancy; sister, Josephine Lazzara; sist ers-in-law, Peggy Pupello and Connie Schwartz; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Pupello was preceded in death by his first wife, Angelina Spoto Pupello and brothers, Peter Pupello and Joseph Pupello. Pallbearers are Vincent Downing, Joseph Pupello, Michael Pupello, Peter Pupello, Jr., John Grandoff, Jim Schalk, Alex Rivera, Thomas and Michael Grandoff and Jim Downing. The family would like to exte nd special appreciation to Diana Torres and staff at Buena Vida Residence and the Purple Team of LifePath Hospice for their loving care. ROBERTS, William Ralph, 85, formerly of Tampa passed away Friday, August 23, 2002 in Jacksonville, Fla. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucy Roberts; son, Bill Roberts Jr. and wife Sandra; three grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole, and Billy; brother, Bob Roberts and wife Mary; sister, Lilla Belle Fredericks; two sisters-in-law, Hope Zambito, and Elena Roberts; brother-in-law, Julio Tapanes; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2002 at 11 a.m. in Garden of Memories Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Associaton.

RODRIGUEZ, Dante Charles, age 31, of Tampa, passed away August 27, 2002. A lifelong resident of Tampa, Dante is survived by his mother, Oneida Rodriguez; father and step-mother, Arcadio Abelardo and Mary Ellen Rodriguez; brother, Rodney Darrell Rodriguez; sisters, Daphne Lynah and husband Karl, and Denise Colborne; niece and nephews, Kelly, Randall, Shane, Cameron and Kyle. Memorial Services will be held on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the South Seminole Christian Pre-School, 300 W. SHOUN, Hal Leonard `Boe`, of St Petersburg, passed away August 26, 2002 from lung and brain cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Hallie Shoun. He is survived by his daughters, Evelyn and Stephanie; his life partner of thirty years, Alex Trombly; his brother, Herbert Shoun, Jr. and wife Vicki; his sisters, Sara Cooper and husband William, and Kathy Best and husband Jim; and several nieces and nephews. Boe graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended St. Petersburg College. He was a horticulturist and owned `Boe's Plants` in St. Petersburg. He was an avid gardener, artist and painter. A private family service was held. The family is appreciative of the tender care given to Boe by the Doctors and Nurses of Bayfront Medical Center, St. Anthony's Cancer Cent er and the Blue Team of Hospice of St. Petersburg, Fla. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

WIGGINS, Escine Samaha, 91, of Tampa, Florida passed away Monday, August 26, 2002. She was born in Ensley-Birmingham, Alabama on September 16, 1910 and grew up in Loxora, Arkansas. She attended William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri where a formal portrait of her hung for many years in the dining hall. After her marriage to John Samaha, she lived in Eastchester, New York where they raised their three children. Following her husband's passing, she moved to Florida and spent her remaining years in Tampa. Escine was an active, elegant, and hard-working person throughout her life. She worked with her husband, John, in their lingerie company and continued the business following his death until she moved from New York to Florida. Her family was of the utmost importance to her, and she wa s always interested in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was proud of their many accomplishments and encouraged them in the areas of law, medicine, business and the arts. She was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, John Samaha, of New York, and Jim Wiggins of Tampa, Florida, and by her brother, Louis George and her sisters, Eva Langsdon and Mabel Abdelnour. Escine is survived by her son, John Samaha and his wife Adelia of St. Petersburg, Florida; her daughter, June Hamra and her husband Sam of Springfield, Missouri; and her son, Lawrence Samaha and his wife Carolyn Reed of Tampa, Florida; as well as her eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews who will miss her sage advice and loving concern for their well being. Her grandchildren include Cynthia Samaha, John N. Samaha, III, Steven Samaha, Charles Samaha, Sam F. Hamra, III, Karen Groves, Michael Hamra, Jacqueline Hamra, Michele Brooks, Mary Campa, and Andrew Samaha. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 30, 2002 at 4 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to Lawrence H. Samaha, Trust Account for the employees of `At Home with Friends` who cared for Escine in her last years or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

WINN, Lillian N. 86 of Tampa, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002. She was born in Bushnell, March 21, 1916, and was predeceased by her husband, of 51 years Robert Winn. She is survived by her caretakers, Robert and Shirley Rewis of Riverview, Ronnie and Linda Rewis of Clarksburg, W.Va., Ethel Rae Halcomb of Orlando and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Seminole Heights Baptist Church. She was a past Rainbow Queen for Elim Temple #76. Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 from 1-2 p.m. with services to follow at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at the Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. GAOUETTE, Raymond G., 83, of Leesburg, Fla., died Wednesday, August 28, 2002. He was a Warehouse Supervisor for Dirk Mills Air Conditioning Co. for 10 years, a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, a life member of VFW #4443, Candler, Florida and a US Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Gaouette was born in New Bedford, Mass. and moved to Leesburg from Spring Hill in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Cecile A. Gaouette of Leesburg; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Leesburg, with Father Nicholas O'Brien officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, September 2, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

Survivors include two sons, Webb C. Clarke, III of Zephyrhills and Gloyd Clarke of Dade City; a daughter, Camille Reynolds of Dade City; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
