A native of Johnstown, Pa., and a lifelong resident of Thonotosassa, Fla., she answered God's calling as a loving wife and mother. Married 39 years and preceded in death by husband, Jasper (Jack) Jones; twin daughters, Edna and Rosemary; and brother, Charles Topolino, she is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee and husband, Ralph of Keysville, Fla.; sons, Tom Jones of Thonotosassa, Fla. and Jasper Jones of Brandon, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony Topolino of Ocala, Fla. and Joseph Topolino of Johnstown, Pa.; sisters, Pauline Toth and Earnestine Elder of Johnstown, Pa.; special nephew, Art Wilkerson and wife, Chris of Heber City, Utah; and many friends. Visitation will be September 27, 2002 at 1 p.m. with services officiated by Pastor Robert Anders of Faith Baptist Church at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial F.H. ldignity

KRAJICK, Emil, 90, of Tampa, died Sunday, Sept, 22, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital, Tampa. Survived by daughters, Linda Lindgren, Tampa, Catherine Murrell, Lowell, Mass., Patricia Frey and Connie Duffy, both of West Virginia; brothers, Frank and John; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. LAWSON, John, 77, of Tarpon Springs, died Sept. 25, 2002. Survived by wife, Marie; sons, John and Joseph; daughters, Carol Frawley and Linda Walker; two siblings; and seven grandchildren.

MAGGIO, Perry, 82, of Tampa, passed away September 23, 2002 in Tampa. He is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette; son, Perry and his wife Rita Maggio; grandsons, Perry, Jr. and Brian Maggio and six great-grandchildren. PACHECO, Herman `Skip`, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 20, 2002. He was born in Fall River, Mass. on September 30, 1919. Skip is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Joyce Pacheco; his daughter, Anna Joyce Jones and her husband, David; his son, Larry Herman Pacheco and his wife, Cherie; his son, Randy Thomas Pacheco; four grand-children, Alicia Joyce Jones, David Thomas Jones, Anthony Jason Pacheco and Angela Marie Pacheco; and three sisters, Beatrice Almeida, of Aurora Colo., Bertha Pacheco and Anna Pacheco, of Fall River, Mass. Skip proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps from June 1942 until September 1945. He rose to the rank of T/SGT and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart for heroic action on his 8th mission and received personal credit for 2 ME-109s. Skip also earned eight Air Medals for his exemplary military service. He was top turret gunner of the famed B-26 bomber, the `Coughin Coffin`. Skip was a longtime resident of Tampa, Fla. and was employed as a commercial artist by Gulf Advertising Company. He retired from 3M National Advertising after more than 30 years of service. A Funeral Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time. A Graveside service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 27 at Lake Wales Cemetery, Lakes Wales, Fla.

SHORT, Margith M., age 71, passed away September 24, 2002 at Hospice House Woodside. She is survived by husband of 11 years, W. Fred Short of Oldsmar; her son, Dirk A. Lehew of Kingman, Ariz.; her daughter, Michelle A. Meek of Canton, Ga.; five grand-daughters; and several other loved family members. She was born in Czechoslovakia, was raised in Karlsruhe, Germany and has resided in the Tampa Bay area since 1973. She was a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church and East Lake Woodlands Country Club. She enjoyed golfing. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2002 at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 2875 State Road 580 at 11 a.m.

SPANGLER, Margaret O., 85, of Land O'Lakes passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2002. She is survived by three sons, Clifford W., Paul K. and James M. Spangler; one daughter, Claudia M. Spangler; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was of the Protestant faith. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2002 at 12 Noon at the Garden of Memories Chapel with interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

STATON, Ann Eck, 72, passed away September 11, 2002 in Tampa, Fla. A native of Richmond, Va., and a resident of Tampa since 1997, she retired from the State of Virginia in 1990. She is survived by her loving children; her daughter, Bonnie E. Lovell of Tampa, Fla.; her son, Thomas M. Eck, Jr. of Flowery Branch, Ga.; and her grandchildren, Catherine Ann Hastings of Atlanta, Ga., D. Carter Hastings, Jr. of Tampa, Fla. and Duncan L. Eck and Thomas M. Eck, III of Flowery Branch, Ga. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 30, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va.

SWAIN, Phillip Anthony, Jr., a Tampa native but recently of New Port Richey passed away Sept. 24, 2002. He was predeceased by his father, Philip Swain. He is survived by his caregivers and beloved friends Doug Carlisle and Dan McNally of New Port Richey who enriched the last nine months of his life; children Michelle and Tyler of Olympia, Wash.; daughters Haley and Anna; mother and stepfather Pat and Don Baker; sisters Christina and Wendy, all of Georgia; sister Rozel Lee of Valrico; and many nieces and nephews. Anthony, 39, had served his country as a United States Marine and was founder of Red Ribbon Kids, a Key West organization that assists child victims of AIDS. There will be no services locally.

TURNER, Clyde M. `Jug` (Col. USA Ret), 87, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Ocala, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2002. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Emma. Survivors include, a daughter, Elaine T. and her husband, Douglas B. MacCullough of Lutz, Fla.; two grandsons, Keith Whittaker of Tampa, Fla. and Kevin Whittaker and his wife, Melanie of Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Marie Turner and Lucille Turner, both of St. Petersburg and Frances Hatton of Shelbyville, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. A native of St. Petersburg he returned to Florida in 1968 following an active military career. A Civil Engineer for 64 years, he was graduated from John Hopkins University and the University of Florida, where he was a member of the Grand Guard and Alumni Association. He was a World War II Veteran and received the Silver Star, Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, American Defense Service, European, African Middle Eastern Campaign, Campaign and Service Victory World War II Medal, Army of Occupation, National Defense Service Medal and Army Accommodation Medal. Graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., Friday, September 27, 2002, 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Purple Heart, 1523 Dale Mabry Hwy., Suite 202, Lutz, Fla. 33548.

WALKER, Frankie Andrew, age 64, of Lorida, Fla., died Friday, September 20, 2002 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 22, 1938 in Lakeland, Florida, Mr. Walker had been a resident of Lorida for seven years. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and car racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Rilla Walke r and brother, Eugene Walker. Survivors include his wife, Olivia Walker of Lorida; three sons, James W. Hodges, III of Vero Beach, Florida, Jimmy W. Walker and Justin A. Walker of West Palm Beach; three daughters, Rita K. Aultz of Port St. Lucie, Frankie Jean Walker and Katlyn M. Walker of West Palm Beach; and six grandchildren. In addition, he is also survived by five step-children, Marco Renoso, Dante Perez, Crystal Perez, Jesus Perez and Valentine Perez, all of Okeechobee; three brothers, Ray Walker of Lakeland, Roy Walker and Ricky Walker of West Palm Beach; and four sisters, Thelma Turner and Joyce Josey of Palatka and Carolyn Finotti and Diane Butler of Plant City, Florida. Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home on Friday, September 27, 2002 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services wil l be conducted on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak View Baptist Church, 677 S.W. 32nd Street, Okeechobee, Florida, with Rev. Lonnie Buser, Pastor of Freewill Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, officiating. Interment will follow in Basinger Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction and care of the Buxton Funeral Home and Crematory.

BURLINGAME, Kenneth Gordon, 66, passed away September 24, 2002, in San Antonio. He is survived by his; wife, Freda of San Antonio; three sons, Matt Burlingame and Mike Burlingame both of Columbus, Ohio, and Stan Sawyer of Canton, Ohio; three daughters, Karyn Carl of Louisville, Ohio, Patricia Rungee of Ohio, and Pam Sterling of Columbus, Ohio; special nephew, Steven Wheeler of Tampa; nine grandchildren, Justin, Jonathon, Molly, Nicole, Michael, Patrick, Dawn, Tammy and Belinda; great-grandchildren, Bryan Alan, Jared, Reattia, and Justin; three brothers, Dale Burlingame and Ron Burlingame both of Canton, Ohio, and Al Arbogast of Louisville, Ohio; and a sister, Sharon Wheeler of Tampa. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 28, at Whitfield Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday at Florida National Cemetery, with military Honors. The family will receive friends 9-11 a.m. Saturday morning before the service. Mr. Burlingame was born January 21, 1936 in Massillon, Ohio, and came to the Tampa area eight years ago from Canton, Ohio. He was an aviator in the US Navy, an avid Buckskinner of Great Trails of Malvern, Ohi o, a member of the Brick Mason Union Local #6 of Canton, Ohio, an Eagle Scout, a member of the Sertoma Club of Tampa, and a Deputy Sheriff with the Stark County, Ohio Sheriff's Department. Mr. Burlingame was part Native American Indian, belonging to the Lakota Sioux Tribe. Mrs. Burlingame would like to express her appreciation to Hernando-Pasco Hospice for their caring and compassion, and in lieu of flowers, she requests donations be made to them at 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.

He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and moved to New Port Richey from Wheeling, W.Va. in 1987. He was a student at the University of South Florida. Survivors include father, David W. Dean of New Port Richey; sister, Danielle Dean of New Port Richey; grandfather, Jake Baker of Wheeling, W.Va.; grandmother, Ruth Scane of New Port Richey; uncle, Kevin Kerr of New Port Richey; aunt, Julie Kerr of Clearwater; several cousins; and many friends. Visitation will be Saturday Sept. 28, 2002 from 2-3 p.m. at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, Congress Street Chapel, New Port Richey.

DELANEY, Theresa N., 91, passed away September 23, 2002 in Dade City. She is survived by her sons, Paul Delaney of Zephyrhills and Richard Delaney of Cromwell, Conn. and four grandchildren. Mrs. Delaney was born December 1, 1910 in Hartford, Conn. and came to this area in 1999 from Plainville Conn. She was a secretary in aircraft manufacturing and a Catholic.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Port Richey from Hauppauge, Long Island, N.Y. in 1997. She was a seamstress and attended St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Port Richey. Survivors include son, Frank P. Doll of Mastic Beach, N.Y.; daughters, Patricia West and Anne Marie Doll, both of Port Richey and Renee Allen of Medford, N.Y.; brother, Ben DeSano of Valley Stream, N.Y.; sister, Connie McAvoy of Holiday; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 27, 2002 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Mass will be 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.
