BROWN, Marcia Lee, 68, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at home in New Port Richey. She was born in Moline, Illinois and moved to New Port Richey from Rock Island, Ill. in 1982. She was a homemaker and of Protestant faith. Survivors include two sons, Bruce Kennison of Holiday and Gary Kennison of Rock Island, Ill.; three daughters, Vicki Pfannenstiel of New Port Richey, Penny Rogers of Forrest, Ill. and Tracy Countryman of Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Cindy Lecnar and Sandra Leuth, both of Moline, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

BROWN, Owen G., 75, of New Port Richey, passed away on October 15, 2002 at Community Hospital in New Port Richey. Born in Detroit, Mich., he moved to Florida in 1982 from Allen Park, Mich. He was a retired First Class Aviation Storekeeper in the US Navy for 20 plus years serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Owen of Westland, Mich.; a daughter, Karen Lazor of Manteca, Calif.; three brothers, Raymond of Safety Harbor, Marion of Lake Placid, and Gordon of Owasso, Mich.; two sisters, Delores Smith of Overland Park, Kan. and Marilyn Banks of Taylor, Mich.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

GOUNY, Mary A., 69, of Hudson, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at Tandem Health Care of Bayonet Point, Hudson. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and moved to Hudson from Waterbury, Conn. in 1990. Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson. Survivors include her son, Charles Gouny of Queens, N.Y.; daughter, Mercedes Radicella of Port Richey; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Burial will take place in New York. Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Homes, Congress Street Chapel, New Port Richey.

NYGREN, Yvonne `Hope`, 68, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at her daughter's residence in Tampa. Born in Essington, Pa., she moved here from Pennsylvania in 1949. She was Lutheran, and worked as an independent child caretaker. Survivors include her daughter, Sophia Valente of Tampa; a brother, Stephan Rusin of Spring Hill, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Ellen Wilson of Clearwater, Fla., and Arlene Lane, of Carrolton, Texas ; several nieces and nephews; and the many other children she cared for throughout her life. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 20, from 12-2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the North Meadowlawn Funeral Home, New Port Richey, Fla, (727) 849-9281. Interment and Graveside Service will be Monday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Gardens, Clearwater, Fla.

RINGELSPAUGH, Mary (Kate), 79, passed away October 10, 2002, at home in Dade City. She is survived by four daughters; and other loving family members. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice in her memory.

TRAYNER, Catherine D., 81, of Zephyrhills, Florida died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at University Community Hospital. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she moved to this area 12 years ago from Bordentown, New Jersey. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Dade City, Florida. Mrs. Trayner is survived by son, Harry Beatty of Tampa; daughter, Lorraine Bell of Groveville, New Jersey; son, Jeffery Trayner of Florence, New Jersey; daughter, Maryann Gervasio of Trenton, New Jersey; sons, Jonathan and Mark Trayner, both of Forked River, New Jersey; daughter, Dorothy Bakecki of Autubon, New Jersey; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

WHEELER, Mabel L., age 91, passed away October 15, 2002 at her residence in Zephyrhills, Florida. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Van Wert, Ohio and moved to Zephyrhills fifteen years ago from Eaton Rapids, Michigan. She was of Protestant faith. Survivors include her son, Gene LaFever and wife Elizabeth of Wesley Chapel; a niece and nephew.

YINGLING, Caroline, 75, of New Port Richey, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Bellwood, Pa., she came here one year ago from Blandburg, Pa. She was a dietary aide for nursing homes. Her memberships include United Methodist Church, Blandburg, Pa., The Grange in Sinking Valley, P., and Eagles Aerie, Bellwood, Pa. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Kersey of New Port Richey, and Bonnie Phillips of Blandburg, Pa.; a sister, Della Musto of West Chester, Pa.; and companion, George Koesbauer, New Port Richey. She was the grandmother of eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday Oct. 19, 2002 from 1-4 p.m. at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, where there will be a chapel service at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glascow, Pa. ZELEWSKI, Harold G., 83, of Zephyrhills, passed away October 10, 2002 in Dade City. Survived by his daughter, Lee Ann Boughner of Zephyrhills; and two step-daughters, Shelly Badour and Mary Martin, both of Lakeland. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2002 at the Am Vets Post 32, 1339 East Gary Road, Lakeland, Fla. with Am Vets Post 32 officiating. Born October 4, 1919 in Fitchburg, Mass., Harold came to this area in 1979 from Maryland, and he was a Veteran of the Merchant Marines.

CARTER, Sylvanus James `Skip`, age 87, of Seminole, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2002. He was a native of St. Petersburg, Fla. and had moved to Tampa in 1945. He moved to Seminole, Florida in 1999. He was a Certified Public Accountant for 55 years, owning his own company of Bigham & Carter CPA's until 1970, when he merged his business and became Manager with Ernst & Ernst CPA's, retiring in 1979. He was a Boy Scout Leader, Past Worshipful Master in 1959 at Fellowship Lodge #265, F.&A.M., of Tampa, Fla.; a Shriner member of the Band and Orchestra with Tampa's Egypt Temple Shrine; he served as Choir Director for Bayshore Methodist Church, Maximo Presbyterian Church and Trinity Methodist Church. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Cl ub as a young man and an active member in the Tampa Sailing Squadron of Apollo Beach. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane S. of Seminole, Fla.; a son, Robert W. Carter of Tampa, Fla.; three daughters, Wanda Bardin Taylor of Dunwoody, Ga., Linda Williams of Orlando, Fla., and Patti Carter of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today at Blount, Curry & Roel Funeral Home, MacDill Avenue Chapel, 605 South MacDill Avenue, Tampa, Fla., with Masonic Rites provided by Fellowship Lodge #265, F.&A.M. of Tampa, Fla. Interment will be at a later date in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Fla. The family will receive friends at the MacDill Avenue Chapel, one hour prior to service time. CONRAD, Royal W., 78, of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2002. He is survived by his son, Royal W. Conrad Jr. and his wife, Kelly and their children, Grant and Mickenzie. Mr. Conrad was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post #139, and the IBEW Local. A memorial service will be held on Friday, (tonight) October 18, 2002 at 7 p.m. at the Mark III Funeral Home South Tampa Chapel. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.

CORCORAN, Dianna Christine, 57, formerly of Seminole and Dunnellon, died Oct. 6, 2002. She was a homemaker and survived by her companion, Bruce H. Colvin of Dunnellon, Fla.

DEAK, Raymond J. `Ray`, 60, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2002. He is survived by his mother, Bertha Deak, Perth Amboy, N.J.; three daughters, Carol, Jody and Susan, all of N.J.; sister, Kathy Tierney, Valrico; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd. Edward and Eric Jameson; nieces, Michelle and Nichole Orford; uncles, Dr. Anthony C. Li and Atty. Jean J. Provost; and numerous cousins. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. prior to service.

DUGGAN, Carolyn, 73 died on October 16, 2002 in Tampa. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Johnson and her husband Lee of Tampa; four grandchildren, Laura and Amy Johnson, Adam and Jason Duggan; and a sister, Mary Louise Foster and her husband Jack of Sun City Center. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Ralph Thomas Frier, and Terry Dale Frier, both of Dover; daughters, Mary Nell Adams of Bakersfield, Calif., Betty Jean Mathews, Carolyn Louise Frier, both of Dover, Helen Faye Pharis of Caryville, Fla., and Joyce Ann Frier of Dover; brother, Arlie James Lastinger of Jennings, Fla.; sister, Ruby Davis of Ga.; aunt, Piety Johnson of Ga.; twenty three grandchildren and thirty eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. GASS, Presley Carl, 80, of Tampa, died October 16, 2002. He was born in Brackenridge, Pa., and moved to Tampa in 1970 from California. Mr. Gass is an Army Veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific. He is survived by his wife, Connie Gass of Tampa; sons, Gregory Gass of St. Petersburg and Clayton Joye of Beaulieu, France; and brother, Harold Gass of Southgate, Mich. In honor of his memory there will be an open house at the family residence, Sunday, October 20, 2002 from the hours of 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

GOMEZ, Carece Longval, went to heaven Oct. 4, 2002. Daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter of several well-known Tampa Bay families, the Sierra's, Wyndham's, Longval's and Cooks. She is survived by her husband, James; sons, Brandon (17) and Seattle (6); daughters, Misha (14) and Cierra (9); her mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Marty Terle of Tampa (Sunshine Bagel); father, Dr. A. Longval of Alaska; one sister, Denece Pruett of Flagstaff, Ariz.; one brother, Rodrick Longval, of N. Hollywood, Calif.; and grandmother, Vera Sierra Wynn of Clearwater, Fla. She was a graduate of Largo High School, a former Miss St. Petersburg and formerly sang with the Phoenix Chorale. Known in the Scottsdale area for her singing ability, she was a member of the Scottsdale Community Church, where she was very active in all phases of the church especially singing in the choir, praise team and director of the children's choir. Her funeral was held Oct. 12, 2002 at Scottsdale Community Church. A graveside service will be held for all the Florida family and friends at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake Alfred, Fla., with Dr. Rocky Branch, Pastor of the First Bapt ist Church officiating. Dr. Pinner of Bayshore Baptist Church will be assisting. Immediately following the service, there will be a catered dinner for family and friends in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, Lake Alfred. All are welcome. Contributions may be made to Shoresh David Synagogue Building Fund, 4320 Bay to Bay Blvd., Tampa, FL 33629, or Bayshore Baptist Youth Crisis Fund. Famil y will be in residence at 310 S. GRANLUND, Cathy, 48, died October 10, 2002. She was a medical assistant and leaves behind her parents, Bob Granlund and Janet Boofer; three daughters; and three grandchildren.

KINSER, Maryland L., 75, of Tampa, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Kinser, Sr., and is survived by her sons, Robert C., and David W. Kinser of Baltimore, Md. and Barry Kinser of Tampa; sister, Martha Sue Lohr; brother, Franklin D. Dorsey, both of Cumberland, Md.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many loving family and friends. Mrs. Kinser had resided in Tampa for the last 20 years moving from Baltimore, Md. MARTINI, Eloise J., 74, of Palm Harbor, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002 at her residence. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a banking customer service representative. She was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater, where she was an Eucharistic Minister. She worked as a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Mrs. Martini was an avid golfer and enjoyed a short film career. She is survived by her two daughters, Sue, wife of Buddy Glover, Brandon, and Kathy, wife of Billy Kirby, Plant City; three step-sons, Carl L. Martini, Jr., Butler, Pa., Steven Martini, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Richard Martini, Pittsburgh, Pa.; two step-daughters, Patricia Erny, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Patty Seward, Holiday, Fla.; brother, Carl Goldy, Painesville, Ohio; granddaughter, Amy Glover, Brandon; two grandsons, Michael Glover, Brandon and Josh Kirby, Safety Harbor, Fla.; granddaughter, Kara Kirby, Safety Harbor, Fla.; daughters of the heart, Carol Metz, Wesley Chapel, Fla., and Kim Pollak, Palm Harbor, Fla. Mrs. Martini was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Martini, Sr. Memorial service St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater, at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2002 with Fr.
