FRANCO, Martha A., 87, of Tampa, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2002. She is survived by four nephews, John Minardi of Tampa, Fla., Michael Minardi of Rockville, Md., (formerly of Tampa), Patrick Minardi of Atlanta, Ga. and Dominic Franco of Albuquerque, N.M.; niece, Neris M. Franco of Baldwin, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Neris G. Franco of Tampa, Fla.; and a cousin, Thelma Salas of Havana, Cuba. She attended the Academy of The Holy Names on Bayshore Blvd. and was a graduate of Plant High School. She received her B.A. degree from Tampa University and went on to earn her Master's degree in Social Services at the Catholic University in Washington , D.C. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church since August 1944, where she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She took Communion to Catholics in St. Joseph's Hospital every Friday. She was a member of Circle 4, Council of Catholic Women and the Owls at Christ The King. She retired in 1991 after 45 years with Catholic Charities, where she had became the Executive Director of The Diocese of St. Petersburg. She is considered the foundress of Catholic Social Services. She was presented with the prestigious Pontifical Honor of The Ben emerenti Medal from Pope John Paul II for exceptional accomplishments and services. She was in the Who's Who of American Women. She spoke Spanish and English fluently. She was active in the Tampa Little Theater for many years and was President for sometime. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2002 at Christ The King Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Thursday e vening Nov. 14, 2002 from 7 til 9 p.m. at the Marsicano-B. Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd. Flowers are acceptable or the family requests donations to be made to the Catholic Charities in Martha's memory. She has dedicated her life helping others. She is loved by many and will be missed greatly.

FREDRIKSEN, Fredrik, 94, of Seffner, passed away at home, Friday, Nov. 8, 2002. He is survived by his brother, Alf Fredriksen; a sister, Antonette Ronning; several nieces and nephews, all of Norway; two nephews, Richard Boe and Fred Fredriksen, both of Massachusetts; two nieces, Jean Leonard of Massachusetts and Ester Hakkile of New Mexico; friend and caregiver, Beulah Hayes. A native of Sandnes, Norway, at the age of 18 he moved to the U.S. and worked on a farm in Iowa. After World War II he moved to his sister's home in Massachusetts, then to the Tampa Bay area in 1957. He attended the First Baptist Church of Seffner and worked as an electrician, mostly in restaurants and then with the airline food service in Florida. Funeral services will be held at Stowers Brandon Chapel Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Fred was loved by everyone he met and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His daily wish was to go home to the Lord, and God answered. Flowers are acceptable or contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice in Fredrik's memory.

HAMPTON, Everett Jr., son of Everett and Sylvia Hampton age 54, passed away on Nov. 9, 2002. Everett is survived by his father; Everett Hampton, Sr.; daughter, Teresa Ruiz and her husband, Robert; sons, Mark and Mathew Hampton; grandson, Nicholas Hampton; sisters, Sue Webb and Sylvia Gettys; and brothers, Jack Shepherd and Jeff Hampton. Born in War, West Virginia, he served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a long time resident and businessman in Tampa, Florida. He will be remembered as a loving father, and a good friend who loved to travel, enjoy the company of his family and friends, and experience life to its fullest. The family wishes to give special thanks to Richard and Lora Hampton and Jay and Sandy Johns for their loving hospitality in the most recent years. A Memorial Service will be held at the Marsicano-B. Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson, Blvd, Tampa, Fla. at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002.

HEISLER, Terry Lee, 44, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at his home in Brandon, Fla. He was a Baptist, a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Ironworkers Local #397. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Lena and Heather; sister, Deborah Watson and husband, David; parents, Winton and Wanda; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Clayton Lamar Heisler. Visitation will be held on November 14, 2002 from 1-2 p.m. with services to follow at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.

LAWRENCE, Inez, 64 of Tampa died November 8, 2002. She is survived by her son, George Johnson III of Georgia; and her brother, Ronald Hughes and his wife Nola, of Ohio. MACKENZIE, Ronald S., 71, of Tampa, passed away Nov. 10, 2002. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; two sons, Bruce J. and Scott M. Mackenzie; sister, Claire Tomasiewicz and husband, John. He was a member of the West Essex Lodge 40 in Caldwell, N.J., Holyrood Lodge 257 in Tampa, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Egypt Shrine, Life Member of the Directors Staff, Gentlemen of the Creeks, A Kentucky Colonel, Royal Order of Scotland and Maxwell Clam. Memorial services will be held 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Mark III Funeral Home. MAIENZA, Louis Antonio, 80, died November 11, 2002. He was born in Abingdon, Ill. and served in the US Army during World War II. He was a machinist in clothing manufacturing. He is survived by son, Louis Maienza, Jr. of Tampa; brother, Antonio Maienza of Abingdon, Ill.; sister, Sara Grone of Galesburg, Ill. A memorial service will be held, 11:00 a.m., November 14, 2002 at Swilley Funeral Home, 1602 W. Waters Ave., John D. Guedes, Ph.D. officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories. MARTINEZ, Lionel, born in Tampa May 27, 1934, attended Jefferson High, played football in the 50's, retired from the Coast Guard as a Master Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service, passed away on Nov. 7, 2002 in Cosby Tenn. He will be interred in Biloxi, Miss., on Nov. 14, by Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Ave., Biloxi. Survivors include his wife, Fran Martinez; two brothers, Frank and Ray Martinez and their wives, Eneida and Carmen; three nephews, Thomas, John and Ray Jr. Martinez; three nieces, Cynthia Gann, Belinda Driggers and Marian Cobeaga.

McINTOSH, Aprile A., 35, of Lutz, passed away November 8, 2002 at home. She was born April 3, 1967 in Fraser, Mich. Mrs. McIntosh was a Registered Nurse for University Community Hospital in Tampa. Survivors include her husband, Michael J. McIntosh Sr. of Tampa; her mother, Kareen Newcombe of Tampa; her father, Roy May of Michigan; five sons, Phillip Yeakel, Caleb Yeakel, John McIntosh, Matthew McIntosh and Paul McIntosh, all of Lutz; and a brother, Christopher Newcombe of Tampa. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Northside Assembly of God, 16235 Lake Magdalene Blvd., Tampa, where at 12 Noon funeral services will be held. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey.

McNITT, Donald John, 72, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Marillyn; two sons, Mark McNitt of Atlanta, Ga. and Todd McNitt of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Sue Stewart of Dallas, Texas ; three grandchildren, Brian, Ian and Erin. A native of Binghamton, N.Y. he moved to the area in 1971. He was the Regional Manager for Guaranteed Air Freight and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brandon. MIMS, Mary Irene K., 92 born in Sutherland, Fla., passed away November 11, 2002 in Brooksville, Fla. She is predeceased by her husband, C.V. Mims. Mrs. Mims lived in Tampa most of her life. She is survived by daughter, Sharon and husband, Jim McBride; granddaughter, Valerie and husband, Scott Ansell; grandson, Cody and wife, Missy McBride; and three great-grandsons, Tyler, Thomas and Timothy Ansell. Mrs. Mims was from an old pioneer Hillsborough county family. Her grandfather was the founder of the Bloomingdale cemetery. She was very active in her church and assisted her husband in his business: C.V. Mims Marine Ways.

OWEN, Melba J., 76 of Tampa, Florida passed away on November 11, 2002. Mrs. Owen is survived by her husband Dean; daughter, Kim Whitten; sons, Dean W. Owen Jr., James M. Owen, Robert W. Owen; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Latrelle McEwen and Mary Alderman. She was a member of the Family of Christ Lutheran Church of Tampa, Associate member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church, Franklin, North Carolina. Retired from the Hillsborough County School System after 20 years of service. She was an avid `tole` painter, member of Florida Suncoast Decorative Artists, loved to cross-stitch and quilt and was an active member in the Red Hat Society. PINKERTON, Elizabeth, Florence, 84, of Tampa, Florida, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at her residence under Hospice Care. Born in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania , she moved to the Tampa area in 1980 from Pennsylvania . She is survived by her son, A Gordon Tunstall and his wife, Nancy of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Leon Roth and John Roth, both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ; four grandchildren, Heather Bright of Largo, Florida, Nicole Novak, A Gordon Tunstall III and Natalie Tunstall, all of Tampa, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Bright, Lauren Bright and Noah Bright, all of Largo, Florida. She graduated from Abington Memorial Hospital where she then became an instructor. Elizabeth worked as a registered nurse for 40 years in Pennsylvania . She was a member of Cheltenham Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and she served as Royal Patron with the Ochs Court #108 order of the Amerath.

RUMORE, Maria Assunta `Sue` Provenzano, 93, cherished mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her family's arms Sunday, November 10, 2002. She was born September 25, 1909 in West Tampa. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Charlie; daughters, Gracie Perrone and Mickey Benton; brothers, Philip and Tom Provenzano; and sisters, Rose Agliano and Mary Garcia. She is survived by her devoted son, Joe Rumore; beloved brother, John Provenzano and loving daughter-in-law, Diane Rumore; grandchildren, Suzette Vergara, Rhonda Sue Benton, Vincent Perrone and Tony Rumore; great-grandchildren, Brittani Beltran, Bryan Vergara, Giovanni Diaz, Benden Flurry; and many dear family and friends. STRELOW, Camille Cawthon, 82, of Monticello, Fla., died Sunday, November 10, 2002. A native of DeFuniak Springs and a previous resident of Tampa, she had lived in Monticello since 1982. She was a bookkeeper and owner/ operator of a custom steel fabrication shop. She was also an avid dog track supporter. She is survived by one son, F. Robert Strelow, Jr. of Monticello; two daughters, Pamela Camille Williams of Orlando and Patti Cheryl Wegmann of Sarasota and Monticello; and four grandchildren. A Dade City native, she was a roofer in the construction industry and attended the Christian Fellowship Church in Dade City. Survivors include two daughters, Jessica Sandoval and Tare Alexander, both of Dade City; a son, Joshua Sandoval of Dade City; her mother, Aline Alexander of Dade City; five sisters, Karen Laukat of St. Petersburg, Donna Ballard of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Sabrina Pitts, Hilda Lycans and Cindy Wilkinson, all of Dade City; two brothers, Ricky Alexander of Dade City and Chris Alexander of Palm Harbor; four grandchildren, Mariah Rodela, CJ Rodela, Marissa Martinez, and McKenzie Teresa Cruz, all of Dade City. CALABRESE, Frances G. (Gerardi), 85, formerly of New Port Richey, died Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen, Mass. Born in Cambridge, Mass., she moved to Methuen from New Port Richey in 1998. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey. Survivors include her brother, Robert D. Gerardi, with whom she resided in Methuen, Mass.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A burial Mass was held in Massachusetts, and a committal service will take place Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Joseph L. DIETZ, Harold S., 60, of Port Richey, passed away on November 5, 2002 at his residence. Born in Norman, Okla., he moved to Florida two years ago from Tacoma, Wash. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Atlas Foundry in Tacoma after 28 years. He was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Maggie; two daughters, Sandi Lawson and Tricia Dietz, both of the Tacoma, Wash. area; one step-son, Nicho Prestegaard of the Tacoma, Wash. area; his mother, Ethel Smith of Port Richey; two sisters, Ethel Corrigan of Port Richey and Judy Carter of Virginia; a brother, Jerry Dietz of East Islip, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. ENZIAN, Richard I., 90, of Port Richey, passed away on November 6, 2002 at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point in Hudson. Born in Westview, Pa., he moved to Florida in 1983 from Ocean City, Md. He was a retired salesman and a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member and former senior warden at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in New Port Richey and a member of the Maryland Club. He is survived by two daughters, Maribeth Burton of Tampa and Judith Vaughn of Chesterfield, Va.; a sister, Edna Voges of Deland, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. HEMINGWAY, Margaret M., 87, of Hudson, passed away on November 5, 2002 at Baypoint Village in Hudson. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she moved to Florida 24 years ago from Haddenfield, N.J. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Hudson. She is survived by one daughter, Gail McFadden of Cinnaminson, N.J.; and one granddaughter, Heather Cunningham. National Cremation Society, New Port Richey, Fla.

PAGE, Kingsley H., (Marshall King), was born June 16, 1915 and passed away November 7, 2002. Following a courageous 27 month battle of cancer and many complications, Kingsley (Marshall) departed from the care of Hospice and family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marian; daughters, Marsha Poore (Wayne) of Lenoire City, Tenn. and Kaye Perkins (James) of Crystal Springs, Fla.; step-sons, Larry S. Pease of Binghamton, N.Y. and William Pease of Tampa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Kingsley (Marshall) retired as purchasing agent from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich. He remained faithful to Theatre in both acting and directing, coming to Zephyrhills in 1970 when he became active in local radio. He was the past President of the Barbershop Chorus; past President of the Kiwanis Club; past President of Zephyrhills Moose Club #2276; past State Chairman of Community Affairs; past Secretary of Heritage Arts Foundation; and past President of Center Stage Players, of which he wrote and directed several plays and events. He had a love of flying, which he had booked nearly 4000 hours and he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Marian had been active in critiquing local dinner theaters which they enjoyed so much, as well as his past weekly Social Editor articles for the Pasco News. A memorial service will be dedicated to Marshall on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on 19th Street, Zephyrhills. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Hospice, on behalf of their dedicated services.
