HUBBARD, Sara `Sally`, 80, passed away May 22, 2003 in Brandon. Born in Rochelle Ill., she moved to this area in the early 70's. She was a Catholic and a Homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert. She is survived by her daughters, Jo Anne Kennedy and Penelope Neargardner; brother, Jack Dame; sister, Ruth Capriola; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be May 31, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

KORTH, Eugene M., 77, of Sun City Center, Fla., died May 23, 2003. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survived by his wife, Delphine; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd, Sun City Center, Fla. Arrangements by Sun City Center Funeral Home, Sun City Center, Fla., (813)634-9900.

KOVAROVIC, Elizabeth `Betty`, 82, of Tampa, died Thursday, May 22, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; and daughter Bonnie. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Miller of Odessa; nine grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Kovarovic and Clare Caplinger. Betty was born in Schenectady, New York and moved to Tampa in 1958. She and her husband, Steve were the owners of The Happy Hour Bar in Tampa. The Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., with a Wake Service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

LINTHURST, B. `Randy`, 71, of Sun City Center, died May 17, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Marion and loving family. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Sun City Center. Private Burial with military Honors was held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. LOGAN, Mamie Coogler, 94, of Clearwater, died May 23, 2003. She is predeceased by husband John. Survived by John Logan, Jr.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

LYNCH, William Benjamin, 71, of Louisville, died Friday, May 23, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of Newburgh, N.Y., having moved to Louisville in 1947. He joined the Army in 1950 and served two active duty tours each in Korea & Vietnam after which he received the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. After attaining the rank of SSGT he retired from Ft. Knox in 1972. Mr. Lynch lived in Tampa from 1975 to 1997. He is survived by his wife, the former Darlene Beasy; daughters, Deborah Scott, Cynthia Whitaker, and Rebecca Clamp all of Tampa, Connie Ferguson of Vine Grove Ky., Angela Hess of Bradley, Ill., and Tammy Linnig; sons, Navy LT.J.G. Mark Lynch stationed in Japan, Billy, Tommy, and Steve Lynch; sister, Jean Mackey of Wallkill, N.Y.; brothers, Rev. Frank Lynch of Boise City, Okla., and Ed Lynch of Yonkers, N.Y.; and 17 grandchildren. Mr. Lynch is resting at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., where services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 27, 2003 with burial to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 26, 2003 from 1-8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville.

MCGUIRE, Larry, age 68, of Lutz, passed away Friday, May 23, 2003. Born in West Virginia he resided in Florida for the past several years and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Shirley; two sisters; one brother; and many loving family members and friends who will miss his humorous ways. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609. A celebration of his life will take place Saturday, May 31, 2003 from 2-6 p.m. at his residence.

SCOTT, Robert W. `Bobby`, 47, of Tampa, passed away May 23, 2003. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Alice and Bill Clift; grandmother, Gladys Todd; sister, Gwen Smith; brother, Patrick Scott; and many other loving family. SHAMBAUGH, David L., 56, passed away May 10, 2003. He was currently living in Pembroke Pines and was a member of the Miami Lakes United Methodist Church. He served six years in the US Navy and upon graduation from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas , he went to work for Arbrook, a division of Johnson & Johnson in Arlington, Texas . He worked 29 years with various divisions of Johnson & Johnson at several locations, the latest being Cordis Corp. in Miami Lakes. He had lived in Tampa for over 20 years enjoying fishing and dancing. He is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Stephen and his wife Beth; stepsons, Jeffrey and Daniel Harrington of Tarpon Springs and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Eula and brother, Greg and his wife Kay of Fort Worth, Texas ; and father, Chuck Shambaugh of Venice. The family would appreciate any donations sent to Miami Lakes United Methodist Church General Fund in his name at 14800 NW 67th Ave., Miami Lakes, FL 33014. He will be greatly missed by all.

SPIVEY, James `Buck`, 82, passed away May 21, 2003 in Seffner, Fla. Born in Appling Co., Ga., he moved to this area in 1954. He was a garage door man and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, Gary, Buddy and Randy; daughter, Wanda Ward; brothers, Roy and Bill; sisters, Mertice Howell, Juanita Howell and Mildred Stephens; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be May 24, 2003 at 1 p.m., with services to follow at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial FH.

VELEZ VARGAS, Yaitza, 21, of Tampa, passed away May 21, 2003. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and resident of Tampa for 12 years, Yaitza was a member of la Iglesia de Dios Emanuel and was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy E. Vargas. Survivors include her brothers, Steven and Christopher Velez Vargas; maternal grandmother, Aurez E. Montanez; aunts, Aurea Vargas; uncles, Angel and Jose Aponte; cousins, Joseph Aponte, Aurea Rosa and Miguel Vargas

WILSON, Beatrice Esther, of Plant City, passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2003. Mrs. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church of Plant City. She resided at Alta Vista Manor for the last two years. Mrs. Wilson is predeceased by her husband, Richard Wilson. Survivors include two sons, Dick Wilson and Harry Wilson; one daughter, Norma Wilson- Wilson; three brothers; one sister; six grandchildren, Dale Wilson, Kimberly Wilson Stewart, Kaytha Rader, Todd Wilson, Gretchen Wilson-Tuck, Darrell Wilson; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel.

ABBONDANZA, Antonio, 93, of New Port Richey, died May 23, 2003 at home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved here from Commack, I.L., N.Y., in 1996. He was retired as a waiter and was of the Catholic Faith. He is survived by son, Anthony Abbondanza of Hudson; brother, Charles Abbondanza of Del Ray; sister, Margaret Polito of Commack, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

FISHEL, Otto F., 89, of Wesley Chapel, died Friday, May 23, 2003 at East Pasco Medical Center. A native of Stevens Point, Wis., he moved to this area in 1978 from Berwyn, Ill. He was a retired business owner of Sequence Tool and Die in Westchester, Ill., and was Protestant. He was an avid golfer, a Master Contract Duplicate Bridge player and a 32nd Degree Master Mason. He was a founder and member of Saddlebrook Resort. Survivors include three daughters, Anita Ibrahim of Downers Grove, Illinois, Carol Burns of Chicago and Joan Harter of Calimesa, California; nine grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Chicago on Thursday, May 29, 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Aimee Compton of Brandywine, Md. and Alyssa Oliviero of Trinity, Fla.; a son, Douglas Compton, III of Brandywine, Md.; mother, Jeannette Rogue of New Port Richey; father and step-mother, John O. and Sharon Rogue of Parrish, Fla.; a brother, John S. Rogue of Walforf, Md.; step-brother, Rick Hoppe of Myakka City, Fla.; and step-sister, Deniece Bonofiglio of Clearwater, Fla. WHITE, Hosea T. `Boe`, 69, of Zephyrhills, died Friday, May 23, 2003 at East Pasco Medical Center. He moved here in October of 1952 from his native Copper Springs, Ala. A retired Electrician for Pasco Beverage Company, he was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Copper Springs. Survivors include his wife, Clarris Rhomelle; a son, Hosea T. White, Jr `Buddy`, of Brooksville; a daughter, Joyce Lankford of Inverness; six stepchildren, Roy and David Burk, both of Brooksville, Jerry and Leroy Burk, Jr, and Barbara Allison, all of Dade City, and Pearlie Weston of Oneonta, Ala.; two brothers, Waylon White of Lakeland and Earl White of Pensacola three sisters, Ohree Parrish, Kate Byrd and Merle Parrish, all of Enterprise, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2003. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612.

HARLACHER, William H. `Mr. Bill`, 83, of Tampa, Florida passed away May 21, 2003 at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he moved to Hillsborough County in 1955. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran honorably discharged September 21, 1945. He is survived by daughter, Judy M. Dees of Largo, Florida; son, Robert H. Harlacher of St. Petersburg, Florida; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Our grateful appreciation and thanks to the Blue Team and staff of LifePath Hospice for their wonderful care and support. LETZNER, Fred A., 79, of Tampa, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003 at his home. Born in Peru, Indiana , Mr. Letzner was a long time resident of Tampa. He was a retired sales representative for the Stauffer Chemical Company. Mr. Letzner served in the United States Air Force in World War II as B-17 Bombardier. A charter member of the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club, he was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Betty Jo; step-sons, Frank Ragano, Jr., and William Drew Ragano; step-daughter, Valerie Spies (Richard); grandchildren, Laura and Derek Spies; and sister, Dorothy McClintock. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church, 2902 Fletcher Ave. West, Tampa.

McINTOSH, Kermit, 62, died April 27, 2003. He was born June 3, 1940 and raised in Buckcorn, Ky., moved to Tampa in 1981, and became a longtime resident of Wesley Chapel. He is survived by loving high school sweetheart and best friend, Wilma Maciel; seven children: four sons, Glenn and Ronald McIntosh of Lexington, Ky., Jeffrey and Gerald McIntosh of Tampa; three daughters, Lynn McIntosh Judd of Ridgeville, S.C., and Paula and Tammy McIntosh of Tampa; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. `Daddy, you broke our hearts and family chain almost a month ago today, but we know you were ready because you left us with a smile and doing work for the Lord. You were a strong and wise man, and we all miss you every day. We love you so much. You will never leave our hearts or minds. Prince, Jr., of Lakeland; son, Jeff Prince of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Cheryl Buell of Mobile, Ala.; brother, Buddy Comati of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Demetra Allender of Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens.
