VAN SKIVER, Thomas C., 64, of Holiday, died May 27, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in New Port Richey. Born in Gloversville, N.Y., he moved to the area 18 years ago from Gloversville, N.Y. He was a Leather Tanner with Carvel Leather in Gloversville. He was a Roman Catholic and the owner/operator of Tommy's Property Maintenance. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mariam H. Van Skiver of Holiday; daughter, Jeannine Spraker of Gloversville, N.Y.; three step-sons, Jay Hinkle, Tracy Hinkly, and Steven Hinkly, all of Faultonville, N.Y.; brother, Frank Van Skiver of Gloversville, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Megan, Chelsea, Grace, Monica and Kierstin.

AARON, Patricia, age 75, of Tampa, died May 26, 2003 . A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania , Mrs. Aaron had been a Tampa resident for 42 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Aaron, her parents, John and Anna Mae (Fichter) Joyce and her brother, John Joyce, Jr. Mrs. Aaron is survived by her children, Joyce and Daniel Kogut of Plantsville, Conn., Jo Ann Aaron of Perry, Ga., Patrick and Lynn Aaron, Lisa and Duke Swann, and John and Angel Aaron, all of Tampa. Mrs. Aaron was blessed with nine grandchildren, Katie, Rich, Mary and Laura Kogut, Matthew and Kevin Davis, Steve and Brian Aaron and Allison Aaron. Pat is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Ruth Conway and Alvina Joyce of Pittsburgh and Julianne Aaron of McLean, Va.; a grandniece, Amanda Kogut; and her many friends at John Knox Village. Patricia worked as a bookkeeper at St. Peter Claver Church, Christ the King Church, WBVM Radio, and Aaron Environmental Services. A Celebration of Pat's life will be held at John Knox Village Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to the charity of their choice.

BOHNER, Katherine E., 89, a resident of Plant City, passed away May 26, 2003. She is survived by two sons, Charles H. Bohner of St. Petersburg and Eugene Bohner of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bohner was a lifelong resident of Plant City. She was a member of Plant City Garden Club and member of Turkey Creek First Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

CHADBOURNE, James F., III, 50, of Tampa, Fla., passed away May 25, 2003. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Tampa in 1992 from Washington , D.C. He was a C.P.A. and owned Chadbourne & Company in Washington , D.C. He was a former partner for Price Waterhouse in Washington , D.C. He is survived by his mother, Doris M. Chadbourne of Glen, New Hampshire; a sister, Bonnie M. Cross of Las Vegas, Nevada; a nephew, Presley N. Cross of San Diego, Calif.; a niece, Kelly Rosas of Las Vegas, Nev.; one great-nephew; and three great-nieces.

CHAVEZ, Carol `Jill`, 65, of Tampa died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at home under the care of hospice. She was born in Morrisville, Vt., and came to the Tampa Bay area in 1959. She retired after 42 years of service from ATK Alliant Techsystems. She was also known for her love of dancing by many couples in Tampa. She will be dearly missed by family and friends and has now gone to a happier place. Survivors include a son, Mark Holifer and wife Lori; a daughter Shelley and husband Calvin Tellinghuisen; step-children, John and Pamela Chavez; three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Norma; sons, Michael DeRidder of Brandon, Ron Irvin of Tampa, Donald Irvin of Brooksville and Randy King of Brandon; daughters, Robin Blanton and Linda Baughman, both of Riverview, JoAnn Stevens and Darla Moore, both of Tampa; brothers, Morris and Jerry DeRidder, both of New Jersey, William DeRidder of Tennessee; sisters, Johanna Guerin of Tavares and Hendrina Ferraiuolo of East Hanover, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Friday, May 30, 2003 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Stowers Riverview Chapel. Graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. FAGER, Irene Z., 83, of Tampa, Fla., passed away May 27, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio on March 5, 1920, she was married to Dan J. Fager in 1940 at First Presbyterian Church in Tampa. She is survived by her husband, Dan J. Fager; son, James E.; daughter, Robin Irene; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth D. and Denielle N. According to her wishes, she will be cremated and buried in the Gulf of Mexico. She was a member of Palma Ceia Christian Church. Donations may be made in her name to the Palma Ceia Church, 3516 Bay to Bay Blvd., Tampa, FL 33629.

GARCIA, Alice, 82, of Tampa, died Monday, May 26, 2003. She is survived by her Husband, Cecil; three sons, Cesar, Michael, and Robert Garcia; two daughters, Leslie Garcia, and Vivian Garcia Hewitt; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 South MacDill Avenue. The family wiill receive friends one hour prior to services.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Barbara Grothe; sons, Dave, Bill, Mark, Paul, Mike, and Brian; daughters, Mary, Connie, and Nancy; step-children, Michael, Wyvone, Dale, and Toni Lynn. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. today at the Plant City Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2203 Strawberry Drive, Plant City.

HARTWIG, Rodney Charles, 73, of Gratz, Pa. (Summer Home) and Tampa, Fla. (Winter Home), died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at his Summer home. Born July 18, 1929 in Flint, Michigan, son of the late, Donald and Shirley Hartwig, he retired from MacDill Air Force Base in 1970 as a Chief Controller and also from the Post Office. He was a member of the Susquehanna Lodge 364 F&AM of Millersburg Pa. and a member of VFW of Gratz, Pa. He was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Barbara (March) Hartwig; three daughters, Debra Baker of Tampa, Sharon Hartman of Dauphin, Pa. and Terry Synder of Gratz, Pa; a sister, Lea Jean Weber of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at Simeon United Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Barry Ridge officiating. Burial in Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz. Friends are invited to call Thursday at 10 a.m. until time of services at the Church. Donations may be made to Simeon's United Lutheran Church, Gratz, PA 17030.

HICKS, Leroy, 62, died May 23, 2003, He leaves a loving wife and family. Services will be Friday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at St. John Cathedral with a Wake from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday at Aikens Funeral Home.

HODGES, Carolyn Robinson, 84, of Plant City, died May 27, 2003. She was the daughter of Kie and Annie Lou Robinson, and the granddaughter of D.F. and Martha Roberts Robinson of Plant City, and Marion D. and Ellen Scotto Harman of South Carolina. Predeceased by her husband of 49 years, W.O. Hodges Jr. `Bill`, she is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hodges Hobkirk of Plant City; sister, Norma Robinson Black Prestidge; granddaughters, Jennifer Hobkirk Wade and Shannon Hobkirk, all of Plant City; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley Wade and Abbigail Wade. She was a teacher in Hillsborough County for 30 years having taught at Springhead Junior High School, Plant City High School, and Tomlin Junior High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, East Hillsborough Retired Teachers Association, Charter and Life member of East Hillsborough Historical Society, and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Plant City Chapter 1931. Services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in Haught Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Alan L. Beaver officiating. Interment will follow in West Oaklawn Cemetery. JOHNSON, Terry Lee, 44, formerly of Tampa, died Sunday, May 25, 2003 in Brooksville. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home in Dade City. He is survived by his friends, Rick Wyatt, Craig Bump and Allen Killebrew; his mother, Marjean Anderson; sister, Kathy Deno; and brother, Brent Johnson.

KELLY, John J., 84, of Tampa and formerly of Sarasota, died May 23, 2003. Survived by wife, Aileen; sons, John D., Stephen A., and David J.; brother, Robert; and eight grandchildren.

KENNEDY, Michael P., 52, a native of Buffalo, N.Y. and long time resident of Temple Terrace, passed away at home on May 26, 2003 after a courageous battle against cancer. Mike is survived by his wife, Patricia and children, Jennifer, Jason and Joseph; his parents, Paul and Rita Kennedy; five brothers; four sisters; and many family members including nieces, nephews and friends. Mike spent many years as a dedicated coach for Temple Terrace Pony Baseball League, and he enjoyed a good game of golf.
