GUERRIERE, Vera, 86, a native of Tampa, has resided in Zephyrhills since 1985, and passed away July 29, 2003. She was affectionately known as `Grammy` to all who loved her. Her passion for cooking, love of entertaining and her endearing devotion to her family is her wonderful legacy. She was the beloved wife of I.S. `Nelson` Guerriere for the past 66 years. She was the loving mother of sons Dr. Cilio Guerriere and wife, Carol; Nelson Guerriere and wife, Linda; and daughter Yvonne Diez and husband Albert. Surviving grandchildren are Cherie Diez, Dr. Randall Diez and wife, Lori; Nelson Diez and wife, Sherry; Lance Guerriere, Michelle Guerriere, Nicole Guerriere, Trisha Guerriere and nine great-grandchildren. Surviving brother, Benny Giglio. Prevatt Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Private graveside service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey, Fla. HODGES, James, 66, of Tampa, died July 28, 2003. Visitation will Thursday, 1-5 p.m. at Morning Glory Funeral Chapel, Tampa with Graveside services 10 a.m., Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

LANKFORD, Louise F., 82, passed away at home in Brandon on July 29, 2003. Born in Douglas, Ga., she moved tot his area in 1954. She was a Pentecostal and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrell Farrar; brothers, M.L. Harrison, Raymond Harrison, Olan Harrison and Adreion Harrison; sisters, Lillian Williams, Mary McQuaig and Vonice Burkett; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be August 1, 2003 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with funeral services on August 2, 2003 at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.

LEONARD, Clyde Wilbur, 68, of Gibsonton, died July 27, 2003. Survived by wife, Laura; one sister, Judy Tucker; two brothers; and two grandchildren.

LETO, Lena Romano, 84, of Tampa, passed away Monday, July 28, 2003. A native of Tampa, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Vincent D. Leto. Born and raised in Ybor City, she resided in West Tampa for the last 33 years. An avid Bingo player, she could be found with her many friends at the `Tampa Letter Carriers' Hall.` Survivors include her children, Eleanor Maldonado and husband, Roland, Antoinette (Toni) Smith and husband, James, and Anthony (Tony) Leto and wife, Glinda; sister, Carmen Muley; brother, Frank Romano Sr. and wife, Carolyn; grandchildren, Denise Maldonado, Lori Maldonado, Jennifer Smith, Kimberlie Weiss and husband, Christopher, Brian Leto and Aaron Smith great-grandchildren, Ashley, Greg, and Dylan Jones, and Makenzie Weiss; sisters-in-law, Annie Scolaro and Stella Romano; Aunt Rose Romano; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Tony Leto, Roland Maldonado, James Smith, Chris Weiss, Brian Leto and Aaron Smith. Honorary pallbearers include Frank Romano Sr., Girlamo DiChiara and Ralph Cerra Jr. The family would like to thank Estelle Lopez and staff of the Austin House A.L.F., for their kindness and care of their mother. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2003 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. with interment to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. MARTIN, Barbara J., 61, of Seffner passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003. Barbara was born June 22, 1942 in Georgia to Herald and Maureen Small. Barbara's early life was spent traveling to the different Air Force bases her father was stationed at. She graduated from high school in Japan. Although formally trained as a Cosmetologist, Barbara found her career in the insurance industry and worked for both Poe & Associates and Brown & Brown Insurance. Barbara retired in the early 90's to care for her ailing parents, and after their passing, she continued her nurturing ways by caring for her grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased in 1998 by her loving husband of 26 years, Raymond Martin. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Scott and Michelle Dowling of Springfield, Virginia; Kimbley and Tom Graves of Plant City; Margaret and Terry Taormina of Tampa; Mary Matuszewski of Oswego, Illinois; Regina and Norm Lingner of Tampa; Gean and Alan Hale of Gallipolis, Ohio. She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren: Lauren and Nicole Dowling; Caitlin, Brianna, Cody, Kara and Crystal Graves; Marcus Taormina and Angie Manigault; Katarina Lingner. The family will receive friends Thur sday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. Interment to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

MULLINS, Timothy R., 38, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003. He is survived by his father: Bobby Mullins; mother: Dawn Greenwood (Ron); grandmother: Betty Lennard; sister: Valerie Levy (Lawrence); nephews: Aaron Bell and Justin Levy; niece: Kyra Levy; step brothers: Shawn and Shane Greenwood. The family will receive friends Friday, August 1, 2003 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association. ROWLAND, Gilbert E., 70, of Tampa, died Thursday, July 24 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Born in North Carolina, he moved to Tampa in 1969 from Pinellas Park. ROZWENC, Raymond, age 64, of Tampa, passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ann Cole; grandchildren, Vincent and Christopher; sister, Jean Watkins; brother Robert; and eight nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Torres was preceded in death by her husband, Andres Torres; and son, Pepe Torres. Survivors include her daughter, Olga Lopez and husband, Roberto; son, Andres Torres and wife, Raquel; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. WEEKS, Katherine D., 84, longtime resident of Tampa, passed away July 29, 2003. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and John Darsey of Riverview; grandsons, Deke Darsey and Ken Darsey and their wives, Tina and Mary, of Riverview; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kenny, and Jake Darsey. Mrs. Weeks was born in Pensacola and lived in her home in Seminole Heights for 55 years, maintaining one of the largest and prettiest gardens in the area. She spent many hours working in her garden. She loved her plants and her pet Collies. Mrs. Weeks attended the Northeast Methodist Church which was just down the street from her home. She was a former cigar maker and retired from Hav-A-Tampa Cigar Co. in the 1970's. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

WELLS, Alice P., age 91, of Plant City, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2003. Mrs. Wells moved here from Georgia in 1926. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, John W. Wells. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Drawdy and Thelma Thomas, both of Plant City. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Joe Bowles officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park.

BAUER, Edith H., 75, of Port Richey, died July 29, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey. Born in Charleston, W.Va., she moved here 24 years ago from Bradenton, Fla. She was the former owner and operator of Come See Come Save, Bradenton, a member of Port Richey Community Church, West Pasco Lasertoma, and the Baker House Restoration Committee. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, John W.; two sons, Steven Facemire of Sutton, W.Va., and Mike Facemire of New Port Richey; sister, Ann Hensley of Elkview, W.Va.; two brothers, Pat Houghton of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Tom Houghton of Marysville, Ohio; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Port Richey Community Church on August 10, 2003, at 1 p.m. Donations to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, All Children's Speech & Hearing, or the Baker House.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in New Port Richey, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and an American Red Cross volunteer. She was a WACS World War II veteran. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hudson. She is survived by her husband, Warner; two sons, Lawrence C. Brown and Stephen W. Brown of Florida; three daughters, Cassandra M. Foley of Michigan, Rhonda M. Pince of Washington , and Leslie K. Brown of California; sister, Frances Carpenter of Michigan; and several grandchildren.

WELLS, Selma V., 94, of Land O' Lakes, FL, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003. She was born in Burlington, Vt. and moved to Land O' Lakes from Michigan in 1930. She was the owner of Wells Corner Grocery Store in Land O' Lakes from 1945 to 1981. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Land O' Lakes and a long time member of the Land O' Lakes Garden Club. She is survive d by one son, Donald Wells of Palmetto, Fla.; one daughter, Kay Faulconbridge of Missoula, Mont.; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Loyless Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. on Monday.

ARBISI, Gaspar, 80, lifelong Tampa resident, passed away July 30, 2003 in Tampa. Survivors include his devoted wife of 48 years: Rose Arbisi; loving daughter: Patty Capitano and husband Vincent III; grandsons: Vincent Capitano IV and Michael Capitano; sister: Terry Filippello and husband Pete; sister-in-law: Nina Licata; aunt: Frances Martino; nieces and nephews: Anthony Filippello, Phyllis Taylor and husband Garry, Barbara Heindel and husband Chuck, Christie Heindel and Nicholas and Andrew Taylor and numerous cousins. Mr. Arbisi was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. He worked as an accountant for both MacDill Air Force Base and the Internal Revenue Service and after 30 years of service he retired and opened RBC Tax Service in Tampa. Mr. Arbisi was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member of the Italian Club and a Master Mason and 32nd degree Scottish Rite. Gaspar was an example of integrity, compassion and sincerity. He was totally devoted to his family and friends. Gaspar always had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Santa Maria Mission, 15520 North Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33613 or the charity of your choice. BACON, Edna R., 81 of Plant City passed away Monday, July 28, 2003, at Strawberry Square Park. She was a life member of the Ceramic Guild. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Mark; and a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Vicki; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers; and many friends.
