BETTY CAROLE (PLATTE) WARR
Mrs. Betty Carole (Platte) Warr, age 56, of 317 W. 34th St., Panama City, died Friday at a local hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Warr had been a resident of Panama City since 1974, except for a four-year period while living in Mobile, Ala., until her husband's retirement from Sears in 1993. Mrs. Warr was a native of Fort Walton Beach and worked for the city of Fort Walton Beach, and the State of Florida Division of HRS here in Panama City for many years. Mrs. Warr was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a faithful Christian, example to all that knew her. Mrs. Warr was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Mrs. Warr is survived by her husband of 39 years: Jimmy G. Warr Sr.; one son: Jimmy G. Warr Jr.; daughter-in-law: Cindy Marie Warr; one grandson: Jimmy G. Warr III; mother-in-law: Ida Kate Warr; brother-in-law: Arnett B. Warr. Mrs. Warr was preceded in death by her parents Thomas W. Hale and Mary L. (Broxson) Hale and grandparents Joseph Broxson and Katie (Buck) Broxson, all of Fort Walton Beach. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Dec. 6, 1999, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mr. Bob Davis, Mr. Chrin Werle, Mr. Doug Brock, Mr. Bennett Sawyer, Mr. Wade Armstrong, and Mr. Dan Blue. In lieu of flowers if you wish, donations can be made to the Missionary Fund of Grace Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Warr.

CARL D. ANDERSON
Mr. Carl D. Anderson, 41, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, in Jacksonville. Born in Brooksville, Fla., he was a longtime resident of Bay County. Mr. Anderson attended public schools of Bay County, graduating with the first senior class of Mosley High School in 1975. He also graduated from Gulf Coast Community College and later earned a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Florida. Mr. Anderson was employed in Jacksonville as a computer systems analyst at J.M. Family Enterprises. He was also an active member of San Jose Church of Christ. Mr. Anderson is survived by his parents, Willard and Betty Anderson of Lynn Haven and one brother, Ken Anderson of Panama City. Funeral service for Mr. Anderson will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jack Reece officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

ORENE SEXTON BEGUE
Mrs. Orene Sexton Begue, 69, of Panama City died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, at her residence in Panama City. She was born and raised in Jackson County and moved to New Orleans after high school to attend Nursing School. When she completed Registered Nursing School she moved to Panama City. Mrs. Begue worked for the late Dr. Russell Stewart in Panama City for over 20 years. She was Catholic by faith. Mrs. Begue loved to read, travel and fish. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. "Dee" Smith and Mrs. Mildred S. Jones both of Cottondale; several loving nieces and nephews and her devoted and loving friend at the La Villa Cove Apartments. A memorial service for Mrs. Begue will be held at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jack Brock and Bro. Bill Wheller officiating. The family will receive friends tonight, Dec. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Florida, 2917 B Optimist Drive, Marianna, Fla. 32448.

BETTY CASWELL HARTZOG
Betty Caswell Hartzog, 68, died on Dec. 3, 1999, in Jacksonville, Fla. She is survived by one brother, Bruce Caswell; three children; and five grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held for Betty and Grady Jr. in Auburn, Ala., on Dec. 11, 1999, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Samford Avenue at 11 a.m. A service of remembrance will be held in Melbourne, Fla., Dec. 18 at Unity Church of Melbourne, 1745 Trimble Road at 11 a.m.

Mr. Coot Hill, age 78, of 6813 N. U.S. 231, Bayou George, Fla., went to be with the Lord, Monday, Dec. 6, 1999. He had been a resident of Bay County for 65 years, coming here from Sampson, Ala., and was self-employed by Laird Timber Company as a pulp wooder. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Hill of Bayou George, Fla.; two sons: Leon Hill and his wife Cindy and Danny Hill, all of Bayou George, Fla.; one daughter, Elva Kiser and her husband David of Bayou George, Fla.; one brother, Joe Frank Hill of Panama City, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Curtis Hill and his wife Jamie , Ricky Hill, Josh Hill, Shawna Hill, Chris Hill, Kim Kiser , and Jennifer Kiser, all of Bayou George, FL; and three great-grandchildren: Hank, Clint, and Robert Hill, all of Bayou George, Fla. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Nettie Hill; two brothers: Stance and Johnnie ; and four sisters: Cora Lee, Etter, Attie, and Mattie. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Albert Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Ronald L. Holsenback, age 60, of 1032 W. 12th Court, Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, at a local hospital. He was the owner/operator of the Book warehouse and was a member of the Living Word Fellowship. Mr. Holsenback is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Holsenback of Panama City, Fla.; a son, Ronald G. Holsenback and his wife Dawn of Panama City, Fla.; daughters: Barbara Holsenback of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth Holsenback and Leigh Ann Holsenback, both of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Martha Holsenback of Tallahassee, Fla.; and grandchildren: Ashley Holsenback, Houston Holsenback, and Natalie Holsenback. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hayward Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Betty A. McCall, 65, of 514 North Maryella Ave., Panama City, died Dec. 5, 1999, in Johnstown, Penn. She was born Feb. 18, 1934 in Confluence, Pa. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur Fraser and a brother, Preston Boyd. She is survived by her husband, Douglas McCall; daughters: Karen Kiggenbottom, Kathy Black; and a son, Kent Fraser all of Jacksonville. Also eight grandchildren; sisters: June Miloro of Delaware, Eleanor Beach of Fort Hill, Pa.; and a brother, Joseph Nicola of Indian Head, Pa. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, Pa., where funeral services will be held Thrusday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Silbaugh Cemetery, Fort Hill, Pa.

Mr. Steven Andrew Winters, 36, of Panama City Beach died Sunday Dec. 5, 1999, at his residence. Born in Atlanta, Ga., he had been a resident of Bay County for the past ten years moving here from Conley, Ga. Mr. Winters was employed by Treasure Island Marina as a fork lift operator and was Baptist by faith. He is survived by his parents, Howard G. and Marie Winters of Panama City Beach; three brothers: Patrick Wayne Upchurch of Panama City Beach, Michael Anthony Upchurch of Panama City Beach, and Robert Bruce Winters of Thomaston, Ga.; two sisters, Vickie Lee Winters of Thomaston, Ga. and Tamara Suzanne Winters of Thomaston and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. James C. Blanton, 82, of Wewahitchka, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at his home. A native of Fort Payne, Ala., he moved to Lakeland as a boy and resided in various cities in Florida before finally settling in Wewahitchka in 1984. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, and worked as a general contractor in South Florida. Survivors include his wife, Libby Blanton of Wewahitchka; four sons: Leland Becton of Daytona Beach, Glenn Blanton of Decatur, Ala., Douglas Blanton of Douglasville, Ga., and Charles Blanton of Austell, Ga.; one sister, Mamilu Stalvey of Blountstown; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. CST Thursday at The First Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, conducted by the Rev. Mike Stroud. Interment will follow in Jehu Cemetery. He will lie in state at Comforter Funeral Home, Wewahitchka Branch Chapel Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. CST.

EDWIN EARLE BOLTIN
Edwin Earle Boltin, 48, of 7784 Betty Louise Drive, Callaway, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, as a result of an automobile accident. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1989 at the rank of senior master sergeant. He was working as a courier for Southeast Courier Inc. He was a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Maria Boltin; two daughters, Christina Boltin, Tanya Boltin; mother, Dorothy Boltin, all of Callaway; brother, Randy Boltin of Tucker, Ga. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in Carlisle Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Kuhn officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1:15 p.m. in Fort Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla., with military honors conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening.

DELILAH KATHERINE CLEMENTS
Mrs. Delilah Katherine Clements, age 81, of 9006 N. Holland Road, Southport, Fla., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at her home. She had been a resident of the area since March of 1998, coming here from Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. Clements was employed by Illinois Bell as a telephone clerk. She was also a member of the Disciples of Christ, the C.W.A., the Eastern Star, and she loved to fish and bird watch. Mrs. Clements is survived by her daughters: Susan Strobel and her husband Chris of Southport, Fla., and Margaret Swanson and her husband Denny of Urbana, Ill.; sisters: Billie Canada of Lodoga, Ind., Lydia Carter of Bloomington, Ill., and Joan Crandall of Sullivan, Ill.; grandchildren: Alan Strobel and his wife Mary of Southport, Fla., David Swanson and his wife Mikki of Tolono, Ill., and Delinda DeDe and Mark Swanson, both of Urbana, Ill.; and great-grandsons: Brett Alan Papajohn, Dalton Swanson, and Jarrod Swanson.. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Steed, Cheryl Johnson, and Dr. Peter Leger. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10 at Kingswood Baptist Church of Southport, Fla., with the Rev. Don Hodges and the Rev Joel Wilson officiating. She was also a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Mrs. Gaylor is survived by her mother, Barbara Watts of Port St. Joe; her father, Jack Watts of Hawaii; her husband, Doyle Gaylor of Mexico Beach, Fla.; one son, Matthew Porter Williams of Port St. Joe; one daughter, Meghan Williams of Port St. Joe; one brother, Richard K. Watts of Port St. Joe; grandmother, Mrs Richard Porter of Port St. Joe. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. EST in St. James Episocopal Church with Father Huft officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
