MARLENE McKNIGHT EMANUEL
Mrs. Marlene Emanuel, age 44, of Panama City, died on Monday, March 27, 2000, at a local hospital. Mrs. Emanuel was a lifelong resident of Bay County and worked as a packer-mover for Coleman-American Moving Company. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Emanuel is survived by her husband of 26 years, James E. Emanuel Sr. of Panama City; a daughter, Laura L. Miller and her husband Jason of Greenhead, Fla.; a son, James E. Emanuel Jr and his wife Kimberly of Jacksonville, Fla.; her mother, Earline McKnight of Parker; a brother, James McKnight and his wife Mary of Wewahitchka; sisters: Geraldine Hale of Callaway, Carol Broxson and her husband David of Parker, Sandra Childers and her husband Charles of Parker, Connie Burkett and her friend Robert of Callaway; her twin sister, Darlene Beauchamp and her husband Greg of Fountain, Kay McKnight and her friend Phillip of Parker; granddaughters: Brittany, Mellissa and Ashlynn Emanuel, all of Jacksonville; and her grandson, James E. Emanuel III, also of Jacksonville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Emanuel was preceded in death by her father, Horace McKnight and her brother, Jack McKnight. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 30, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Maxie Beauchamp and the Rev. Jack Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Bayou George Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearaers are her nephews: Richard Hale, Dennis Hale, Chuck Childers, David Broxson Jr. Chris Burkett and Scott Burkett. Ryan Norris will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will be staying at the home of Geraldine Hale, 7105 Massachusetts Ave., Panama City, FL.

HAROLD J. LOHMAN
Harold J. Lohman of Indianapolis, Ind. and formerly of Panama City Beach, Fla., died March 28, 2000. Funeral services will be held April 1 at 8:45 a.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis., Ind., and 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Indianapolis.

Arnold Lee Price, 82, of Panama City, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in a local nursing home. He was the owner and operator of Price Upholstery Shop from 1953 to his retirement in 1998. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1942. He was a member of the St. Andrew Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and attended the Keystone Sunday School Class. He was a fireman for 11 years with the Panama City Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Price. He is survived by his wife, Mary W. Price of Panama City; two daughters, Elaine Harris of Leesburg, Fla., June Thomason and her husband, Darrell of Attalla, Ala.; son, James Price of Panama City; four sisters, three brothers, all of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in St. Andrew Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Gallagher and the Rev. Coy Raffield officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of Arnold Price.

EMMA McCRANEY PYBUS
Mrs. Emma McCraney Pybus, 88, of Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in Panama City, Fla. Born in Henry County, Ala., she moved here in 1947 from Ashford, Ala. She was a homemaker and Jehovah's Witness by faith. Mrs. Pybus is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar David Pybus Sr. She is survived by three sons, James A. Pybus and wife Ursula, Jerry M. Pybus and wife Donna, O. David Pybus Jr. and wife Elaine all of Panama City; three daughters: JoAnn Watkins, Sue Ward and husband Tom, Linda Pippin, all of Panama City; one daughter-in-law, Margie Hopper of Panama City; 11 grandchildren: Billy Watkins Jr., Vicki McCann, Michele Casey, Tommy Ward Jr., Tammy Casey, Cindy Griffin, Debra K. Parker, Pam Rudd, Dara Lynne Pippin, Tracy Biskupovich and David Pybus III; and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 31, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Michael McCann and Mr. Floyd Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Callaway Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

ROYAL STEPHENS
"Capt." Royal Stephens, a resident of Deatsville, Ala., and Panama City, Fla., died Friday, March 24, 2000. Graveside services were held Sunday, March 26, 2000, at 2 p.m. from New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Denny Rogers officiating. "Capt." Royal is survived by his wife, Nan Comer Stephens of Deatsville, Ala.; one daughter, Leah Allen of Panama City; two sons, Royal Stephens Jr. of Lynn Haven and Neil J. Stephens of Clinton, Miss.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Active pallbearers were members of Lightwood Volunteer Fire Department. "Capt." Royal owned and operated a charter boat service at Capt. Anderson's in Panama City for 25 years.

DONA E. BOWMAN
Mrs. Dona E. Bowman, 87, of Deer Point Lake, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, in a local nursing home. Born in Winston County, Ala., she moved here in 1968 from Charleston, W.Va. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of First Baptist Church of Southport. She was a member of Eastern Star, Women's Missionary Union and various children's advocacy organizations. She loved to fish, quilt and work with flowers. Mrs. Bowman is preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Bowman and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Henry Masters "Judd" Bowman and wife Joyce of Beaumont, Texas ; two daughters, Anne Dice Page of Panama City, Jane Wilson Wedemeyer of Blairsville, Ga.; two sisters, Carrie Cagle of Phil Campbell, Ala., Omah Horne of Bessemer, Ala.; sister-in-law, Nell Burns of Bessemer, Ala.; five grandchildren: Christopher J. Page, Candi Lea Hutchison and husband Ward, Josie Bowman, Erin Bowman and Charles John Wedemeyer; three great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Anne, Elivia Adelle and Elena Abigail Hutchison. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Southport with the Rev. Scott Whetstone officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will be staying at the home of Candi and Ward Hutchison.

Mrs. Louise M. Hand, age 49, of Southport, Fla., died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at her residence. She was born in Panama City and lived all her life in Southport. She was an oyster shucker for the Miller and Ellis Seafood House, and attended the Southport Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her son, George W. Hand and his wife Christina of Southport; one daughter, Theresa L. Cooper and husband Stephen of Youngstown; four brothers: Terry Creamer, Gary Creamer and wife Regina, Wayne Creamer and wife Kathy and James Creamer and wife Debbie, all of Southport; two sisters, Viola Clark and husband Jesse, and Margaret Sanders and husband Julian both of Panama City; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2000, at 2 p.m. in Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Derick Biddinger officiating. Burial will follow in New Southport Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, March 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Mabel M. Bush, 73, 1812 Kentucky Ave., Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away March 29, 2000, at her home. Mrs. Bush had been a resident of Bay County since 1945 coming here from Washington County, Fla. She was a member of St. Andrews Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Bush is survived by a daughter: Mrs. Gwen Spalding and husband Joe of Lynn Haven; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Donna Lee Streetman and husband Calvin of Lithia, Fla.; four sons: Mr. James Carl Bush and wife Cathy, Mr. David Bush, Mr. Daniel Bush and wife Renee, and Mr. Thomas Bush and wife Claudia all of Panama City; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; five sisters: Mrs. Dola Murphy of Panama City, Ms. Lola Mae Bush of Washington County, Mrs. Gertrude Lee of Bonifay, Fla., Mrs. Beatrice Revell of Gulf County, Fla., and Mrs. Mellie Paricio of Panama City; two brothers, Mr. Allan McCullough of Magnolia Springs, Ala., and Mr. Elzie McCullough of Alabama. Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her husband, Elder James T. Bush, and her brothers: Leslie Dee McCullough, Eleb McCullough, and Franklin McCullough. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Horace Nall and Elder J.C. Stanaland officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Larry Paricio, Silas Lee, Bill Lee, John Leslie Bush, Doyle Bush, and Ricky McCullough. WILLIE JEWEL HILL
Mr. Willie Jewel Hill, 74, of 1600 Fortune Ave. died March 25, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a native of Glenwood, Ala., and a resident of Bay County for 60 years. He was employed for Power Fax Gas Co. for 30 years and also Superior Gas Co. He was a member of St. Luke Mission Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ollie Youngblood; two sisters, Catherine Hill and Hazel Hill. He is survived by loving and devoted wife for 57 years, Annie B. Hill of Panama City; four loving nephews: Mack Pittman (Sandra), Willie C. Youngblood, Jim Youngblood and Robert Youngblood all of Panama City; four loving nieces: Clementine Hill, Peggy Youngblood, Ruth Mae Youngblood and May Loise Youngblood all of Panama City; cherished first cousins, Tennie Belton, Jean Culerr, Betty Brundidge, Effie Lee, Vera Smith , J.D. Leverett and Walter Leverett; a host of other cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Hill will be held Saturday, April l at 2p.m. in St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Rhone Sr. officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will repose at the Church this evening from 6 to 8p.m., and will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 1600 Fortune Ave.
