LAFOUNTAIN, Mary Micka, 91, of New Port Richey, died July 29, 2001. She is survived by only son, James Roy LaFountain of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles; and parents, Katerina and Joseph Micka. Mrs. LaFountain was blessed to have 10 grandchildren, Mary Anne, Tom, Jim, Bill, Susan, Geri, John, Kathy, Joseph and Chris. Also 20 great-grandchildren. She was born De cember 4, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois. Beloved mother and grandmother going on before us beyond death unto eternal life with Jesus. She showed us how to live a life of service to others. In dying she showed us by her gentle passing not to fear death. Born in one century and died in another. She has touched so many lives in her 91 years. Her gift to God was to cook and to take care of others. So many people walked through her doors and ate at her table. DORR, Raymond Joseph, 78, of Zephyrhills, died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at home. He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Raymond; and three daughters, Carolyn Depts, Virginia Dorr, and Terri McCullough; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Dorr came here from Mountain Top, Pa. over 25 years ago. He was a World War II Veteran where he served with Colonel Johnson's Marauders in the Philippine Islands. He is originally from upstate New York where in high school he graduated as Valedictorian from Utica Free Academy and was scheduled to be part of the U.S. Olympic diving team when World War II started. AMEY, Dr. Brent David, 55, died in Tampa at St. Joseph's Hospital Friday, July 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Twila Richards Amey; daughter Ashley, 18; son Grant, 16; mother, Bernadette Amey; sisters, Karlyn Curran and Susan Lavin (husband Mike); mother-in-law Marie Richards; brother and sister-in-law Rev. Gene and Cindy Richards; and nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of the Universi ty of Kentucky Medical School with residency at USF College of Medicine. He was diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Following a 22 year career as an emergency department physician at St. Josephs Hospital, Dr. Amey served as the Director of the Emergency Depar tment, St. Josephs, Vice President of Medical Staff Affairs, St. Anthony's Hospital (1993-97) and at his death was the Vice President of Medical Staff Affairs at St. Joseph's Baptist Health Care. Dr. Amey was one of the leaders in the development of the Paramedic Program for the Tampa Fire Rescue in its early years. He was an advisor to the Hillsborough County EMS. BLISS, Charles August, 76 of Lutz passed away Saturday, July 28, 2001. He was predeceased by son, Leroy Bradley and granddaughter Lindsay. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Inez; sons, Jim and wife Mary Beth and Alan and wife Gloria; grandchildren, Shannon, Alex, Curtis, Clinton and Caitlyn all of Lutz; sister, Marie Ward of Tampa and brother, Herbert of Washington . He has been a resident of Lutz since 1958. He owned and operated Charles Bliss Produce in West Central Florida for 55 years. He was active in the Lutz Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, retiring as President. He helped to found the Babe Ruth Baseball League in the '60s and was active for many years. He was on the Board of Directors of the original Lutz State Bank, Optimist Club of Lutz and he was a 32 degree Mason at Fellowship Lodge 265. Our Papa was a hard working, family loving, honest man. CRUSOE, Oswald S., 93, of Tampa, died Saturday, July 28, 2001. One of ten children of Mr. Edwin E. Crusoe III and Consuelo Lopez Crusoe. He is survived by a brother, John Anthony Crusoe of Winter Haven, Fla. and many nieces and nephews. Born in Key West, Fla. on November 5, 1907 he attended St. Joseph's Catholic School For Boys where he won a medal for math and another for deportment. In the 19 30's he was a member of The Tampa Times and the Associated Press. Mr. Crusoe was in the Air Force for two years and spent the next twenty-nine years at MacDill Field under Civil Service where he was a teacher of electronics and later a computer analyst. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Tampa Unity, 3302 Horatio. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
