LOUISVILLE - Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Jeanien Harris, age 81 of Highway 171 North, Louisville, who died Friday morning, February 6, 2015 in the Georgia Regents Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Williford and Mr. Adam Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Harris, Bryce Pate, Jason King, Phil Harris, Dustin Harris and Shawn Chaneyfield.
A native of Washington County, Jeanien was a daughter of the late William (Bill) K. and Annie Dale West Sellars. She was a store manager of Allied Department Store for 10 years, a homemaker and a faithful member of the Louisville Church of God.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Bob Harris, and sister; Thelma Cox and is survived by her daughter; Teresa Pate of Evans, sons; Rocky and Dale Harris of Louisville, Joey and Teri Harris of Modoc, SC, Terry and Tracy Harris of Milledgeville and Kevin Harris of Louisville, sister; Joan Smith of Fayetteville, brothers; Richard V. Sellars of Deepstep, and William K. Sellars, Jr. of Sandersville, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friend’s 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, February 9. 2015, at the funeral home.

Michael Kellner

GIBSON - Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death of Mr. Michael W. Kellner, age 53 of Usry Mill Road, Gibson, GA, who died Saturday morning, February 7, 2015 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date by his family.
A native of Lima, Ohio, Michael was a son of the late Harold Albert and Nancy Ann Dassow Kellner. He was a union construction worker in the concrete business and was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Kellner was preceded in death by his parents and is survived his children; Nicole Michelle Kellner and Neisa Ann Kellner of Largo, FL, brother; David Harold and Christina Kellner, sister; Beth Ann and Ed Becker, 6 grandchildren; Austin, Brodie, Gavin, Bailee, Kayden and Mason, 3 nieces and 2 nephews, step children; Cynthia Dawn Barrie and Sandra Mae and David William Close.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Episcopal Church of St. Mary Magdalene with Rev. Sister Carol Andrew officiating.
A native of Riga, Latvia, Velta was a daughter of the late Marcis and Berta Krumins Bauman. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Boatright was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Joseph Boatright and is survived by her daughters; Bonnie Boatright of Louisville, Amy Boatright of Olympia, WA and Jo Alice Boatright of Minneapolis, MI, grandchildren; John Ristuben and David Ristuben.

Melvin G. Raley

GIBSON - Mr. Melvin G. Raley, age 93 of Beall Spring Road, died Wednesday morning, February 11, 2015 in the Gibson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, in the Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hadden and Rev. Tim Pendry officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Bill English, Robert English, Frank Moye, Spike Jones, John Shirey, Mark Shirey, Ben Raley, Frank Raley, Jimmy Wilcher, Andrew Wilcher and Vonion Heggs. Junior Pallbearers will be: Thomas Raley, Makay Hoover, Micah Hoover, Hunter Rabun, Matthew Hoover, Fisher Rabun and Ryder Rabun.
A native of the community Grange, GA., in North Jefferson Co, Mr. Raley was a son of the late John Frank and Mattie Bell Black Raley. He was a graduate of UGA with a B.S. degree in agricultural science. Melvin was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 3rd Army of General Patton, 4th Infantry Division, 22nd Infantry Regiment, H Company where he served for 36 days before becoming a casualty of war. He received a service medal with 1 bronze service star, a good conduct medal, Purple Heart Medal, and a World War II Victory medal. He was a charter member of the Glascock County Lions Club, and the Glascock Co Volunteer Fire Department. Melvin was a member of the American Legion, Masons, CSRA Development Authority, GA Seed Association, Southern Seed Association, and many other organizations. Melvin worked for the University of Georgia Extension Service for 33 years as a County Agent and 4H leader. He was a lifelong farmer who started a regional production and wholesale seed company, R&R; Seed Farms, as a second career for his family. Melvin was a lifelong member and Deacon of Providence Baptist Church in Grange.
Mr. Raley was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Sara Francis Wilcher Raley of Gibson, daughters; Melba Raley of Gibson, Susanne (Fred) Guerrant of Thomson, son; John (Kathryn) Raley of Gibson, grandchildren; Kathy (Jason) Hoover, Shane (Michelle) Rabun, Kara Raley, Anna Raley, Thomas Raley and William Guerrant, great grandchildren; MaKay Hoover, Micah Hoover, Matthew Hoover, Hunter Rabun, Fisher Rabun, Ryder Rabun, Mirabelle Rabun, and Spencer Raley.
The Raley family will receive friend’s 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

AUGUSTA - Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Steve Sheram, age 69 of Avondale Drive, Augusta, GA, who died Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Walden’s United Methodist Church, Avera, GA with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom Armistead, Trent Godowns, David Gunn, Larry Cobb, Bobby Anderson, Buddy Johnston, Billy Bissette, Robert Rabun, Fay McGhee and Paul Williams.
A native of Louisville, GA, Steve was a son of the late Jerry Guy and Lucille Hett Sheram. He spent time as the owner of Sportsman Village in Louisville, GA. and later worked as a welder throughout Washington and Jefferson County. With a deep love for fishing and hunting, Steve took comfort in the knowledge that he was passing on this love to his children. He cherished his time with family and friends, and delighted when his granddaughters would pull on his whiskers. Prior to leaving Louisville for Augusta, he attended Walden’s United Methodist Church, and at his time of passing, his bible was close to his side.
Mr. Sheram was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his daughter; Dr. Mary Lynn Sheram and Dr. T. R. Kinsey of Evans, son; Steven and Amanda Sheram of Augusta, grandchildren; Isabella and Abigail Kinsey, and Olivia Sheram, sister; Terrie and Billy Bissette, brother; Wayne Sheram, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friend’s 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the funeral home.

GIBSON - Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Barry Joel Johnson, age 47 of Warren Street, Mitchell, who died Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday March 9, in the Friendship Baptist Church in Mitchell, with Rev. Jim King & Rev. Phillip Primm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Haywood, Troy Hadden, Charlie Wilson, Wallace Johnson, Steven Salisbury, Russell Rhodes, Reid Rhodes and Pea Wee Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Friendship Baptist Church, Clinton Tucker, Ricky Tucker and Troy Moss.
A lifelong resident of Glascock County, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Boze Johnson, Jr. and Barbara English Johnson. Barry was a jack of all trades in the construction business and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church G.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his mother; Barbara Johnson of Mitchell, sisters; Brenda J. and John David Parsons of Appling and Beverly J. and Ricky Griswold of Douglas, brother; Benjamin Joseph Johnson of Mitchell, 4 nephews, 1 niece, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
