Nevada Wynn
EAST DUBLIN - Services for Nevada Bice Wynn will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Dublin, with burial in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Wynn, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, in a Dublin hospital. Born in Dunlap, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillie Bice. She had lived in Dublin most of her life. She was a retired waitress and Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, J.B. Wynn; and son, Joey Wynn of East Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight in the funeral home and may be contacted at 313 Pinewood Drive, Dublin.

Frances Clements
AMERICUS - Services for Frances Tomlinson Clements will be at 2 p.m. today in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Clements, 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000. Born in Athens, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William Talton Tomlinson and Blanche Rucker Tomlinson. A graduate of Lanier High School for Girls, she had lived in the Macon area for 75 years. The widow of Clarence Baker Clements, she was a homemaker. A former member of Gray United Methodist Church, she was a member of South Lee Street United Methodist Church in Americus

Survivors include her daughters, Clare Jackson of Gray and Carol Hayes of Douglasville; brother, Don Tomlinson of Americus; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor, 2001 South Lee St., Americus 31709.

John Crosby
ATHENS - Services for John Q. "Red" Crosby will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Byron United Methodist Church with burial in Byron Cemetery. Crosby, 92, died Thursday, March 2, 2000. Born in Newberry, Fla., he was the son of the late Ezekiel Crosby and Mary Ann Holt. He lived in Byron from 1949 to 1998 before moving to Athens. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a Mason and a charter member of the Byron Lions Club. He was a member of Byron United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nannette C. Crosby; children, Henry Larry Crosby of Smyrna and Nann C. Purvis of Athens; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Rooks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Byron United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 6, Byron 31008.

Lula Davis
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Lula V. Davis will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Davis, 101, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000. Born in Houston County, she was the daughter of the late Seaborn and Rosa Virgil and was educated in schools in Houston and Peach counties. The widow of John Wesley Davis, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, was mother of the church for many years and was on the deaconess and missionary boards.

Survivors include her children, James O. Davis and Bessie M. Campbell, both of Warner Robins, Dorothy Mathis and Fred D. Davis, both of Chicago, and Rosa D. Sanders of Villa Rica; a sister, Maggie Ivory of Philadelphia; 32 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; 44 great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 1204 Moody Road, Warner Robins. The body will be placed in the church an hour prior to services. Nelson's Memorial Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

Alfred Dennis Jr.
Services for Alfred A. Dennis Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Luke Baptist Church with burial in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Dennis, 67, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. Born in Bibb County, he was a barber and a retired nursing attendant.

Survivors include his children, Dr. Paula V. Snowden, Evelyn F. Mathis, Daryl C. Dennis and Carol A. Bowens, all of Atlanta, Vondranita Wright of Decatur and Lisa Chatfield of Warner Robins; sister and brothers, Mary D. Gordon of Macon, William Dennis of Victorville, Calif., and Columbus Dennis of Germany; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family may be contacted at 3612 Fleming Drive from 6:30 to 8 tonight. Hutchings Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth Duggan
WARTHEN - Services for Elizabeth Walker Duggan will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Duggan, 87, died Thursday, March 2, 2000. Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Collie and Mary Elizabeth Shurling Walker. The widow of Archie C. Duggan, she was a homemaker and a member of Warthen Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her children, Archie C. Duggan of Slidell, La., James H. Duggan of Macon, Buford L. Duggan and William Duggan, both of Augusta, Lynwood Duggan of North Augusta, S.C., Gerald Duggan of Grovetown and Brenda D. Wheatley of Evans; sister and brothers, Janet W. Wells of Belvedere, S.C., Carroll A. Walker and John E. Walker, both of Macon, and Donald Walker of Warthen; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at E.K. May Funeral Home and may be contacted at 657 Walker Road. The family requests donations to Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Willie Mae Easom
VIENNA - Services for Willie Mae Calhoun Easom will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Dekle Funeral Home with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery. Easom, 85, died Thursday, March 2, 2000. Born in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Namon and Dicy Whittington Calhoun. The widow of Otha Bernard Easom Sr., she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son, O.B. Easom of Vienna; brother and sisters, Jack Calhoun and Pallie Wade, both of Cordele, and Marion Nipper of Columbia, S.C.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Margaret Elkins
Memorial services for Margaret W. Elkins were Wednesday at Christ Church with burial in Garden of Christ Church Cemetery. Elkins, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. A lifelong resident of Bibb County, she was an honor graduate of the University of Georgia earning degrees in education and business. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was a teacher in Bibb County schools for 37 years. She was president of the Bibb Association of Educators and Bibb Retired Teachers, was a director of the Georgia Association of Educators, president of Macon Business and Professional Women. She was a member of the Altar Guild and an active volunteer for Christ Church's Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her children, Emily Geissinger of Parker, Colo., and Howard Elkins of Roswell; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Church Meals on Wheels, 538 Walnut St. Macon 31201. Roswell Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Clifford Evans
DETROIT - Services for Clifford L. Evans will be at noon today in Friendship Baptist Church with burial in Lincolnton Cemetery. Evans, 92, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000. Born in Columbus, he was a U.S. Postal Service employee while he lived in Macon. Upon moving to Detroit, he was employed by Chrysler Corp. and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Evans; children, Benjamin Evans of Macon and Dr. Arthur Lee of Orangeburg, S.C.; and six grandchildren.

Isaac Hughes
IRWINTON - Services for Isaac William Hughes will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in Ratliff and Joyner Cemetery. Hughes, 80, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. He was retired from Engelhardt after 36 years of service and had also worked for Masons Sales. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and did the upkeep of the church yard until his health failed.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie Hughes; children, Beulah Scott, Patricia Williams, Bernard Hughes and Delois Wiggins, all of Irwinton, and Edward Jones of Jonesboro; sisters, Sally Bishop and Lizzie Butts of Milledgeville, and Alice Stephens of New York; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Shanquant Kennedy
SPARTA - Services for Shanquant Valiste Kennedy will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Mark AME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kennedy, 18, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. A student at Hancock Central High School, he was president of the Youth Ensemble, a pianist, choir member, and member of the Hancock Central Marching Band. He was in Morris Brown University's Upward Bound Program, the National Honor Society, 4-H Club and FHA.

Survivors include his father, Sherard Kennedy Sr.; brother and sister, Sherard Kennedy Jr. and Davina Shenita Woods; and grandmother, Jamie L. Kennedy.

The family may be contacted at 492 Dixie St., Sparta, from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Warren Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

Jane King
Memorial services for Jane Dunwoody King will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Ingleside Memorial Chapel. Private burial was held earlier. King, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000. Born in Bibb County, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Kate Bowen Dunwoody. She was a member of the Church of the Wildwood and Exchangettes. She was the widow of A.R. King Jr., who served as Bibb County coroner from 1960 to 1981.

Survivors include her children, Jane D. Walker of Macon, A.R. King III of Lilburn, Felix M. King and J. Michael King, both of Forsyth; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Roberta Knowles
ATLANTA - Services for Roberta W. Knowles will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Christian Hope Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Knowles, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000. Born in Bleckley County, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mae S. White. The widow of Stephen Knowles, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Christian Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Bonner, and nephew, Emmitt Gilbert, both of Conley.

The body will be placed in the church an hour before services, and the family will receive friends after services. Friendly Funeral Home, Cochran, has charge of arrangements.

Sara Lamb
SWAINSBORO - Services for Sara Meeks Lamb will be at 3 p.m. in the City Cemetery. Lamb, 85, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. She was born in Emanuel County. The widow of Johnny Lamb, she was a sales clerk with Dolores & Woodys Shops. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Youmans of Lexsy; brother, Roger Meeks of Pooler; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Peeble-Curry-Durden Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
