Robert Poole
EATONTON - Services for Robert "Bob" Poole will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Presbyterian Church with private burial. Poole, 74, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. A lifelong resident of Putnam County, he was the son of the late John Mark and Emma Smith Poole. A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was a life member of VFW Post No. 6686, was a member of the Crooked Creek Fire Department and served on the Putnam County Commission for seven years. He was a member of Rising Star Lodge No. 4, Al Sihah Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite. He was a member of Eatonton Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Poole; children, Judy Rutledge of Seattle, Wash., Robert Poole of Eatonton and John Poole of Spokane, Wash.; brothers and sister, David Poole, Donald Poole, Milton Poole, Jimmy Poole and Frances Poole, all of Eatonton, and Fredrick Poole of Dry Branch.

The family will receive friends in the church after services. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel has charge of arrangements.

James Roberts
LENOX - Services for James Glenn Roberts will be at 3 p.m. in Pineview Holiness Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Roberts, 73, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. A lifelong resident of Cook County, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Carrie LeAnnie Godwin Roberts. He was a retired meat inspector. He was a member of Lenox United Methodist Church and attended Pineview Holiness Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Faye McBrayer Roberts; children, Paul W. Roberts of Reynolds, Bill Roberts of Belgium and Glenda Whittle of Tifton; a stepson, Mark Gill of Enigma; brother and sister, the Rev. Curtis Roberts of Tifton and Doris Robinson of Lenox; seven grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Sarah Robinson
BYRON - Services for Sarah Jane Robinson will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Corder Road Church of Christ with burial in Byron Cemetery. Robinson, 94, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000. Born in Twiggs County, she was daughter of the late Henry and Sally Hall and was educated in Twiggs County public schools. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Byron Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Tom Hall of Cleveland, Ohio, Odell Dowson and Geneva Porter, both of Warner Robins, Adele Hogan of Byron, Sally Tolson of New Haven, Conn., Lessie Thomas of Washington , D.C., and Anthony Robinson of Darian; sister, Willie Mae Lamar of Macon; 28 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at the residence. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to services. Nelson's Memorial Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

Frances Sanders
EUFAULA, Ala. - Services for Frances M. Sanders will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Sanders, 68, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. She was born in Laurens County, the daughter of the late Frank and Claudia Moore. She had been a resident of Eufaula for more than 30 years and was office manager for the Eufaula Agency. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught pre-school Sunday School.

Survivors include her husband, W.C. Sanders; children, Wesley Sanders of Eufaula, Ala., and Wayne Sanders of Milledgeville; a brother and sister, Jerry Moore of Snellville and Sandra Johnson of Melbourne, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Chapman Funeral Home, Eufaula.

Thomas Smith
Services for Thomas Smith will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Smith, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. He was born in Monroe County, the son of the late Jim and Bessie Smith. He moved to New York in 1938 and was employed by Olin Water Services until his retirement in 1979. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in New York and was president of the usher board. He was a member of New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, was new members teacher and superintendent of Sunday School.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Mae Calhoun Smith; a daughter, Jean Allwood of New York City; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hutchings Funeral Home and may be contacted at 2804 Montcrief Road, Lizella.

Doris Stubbs
Services for Doris M. Stubbs will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Hart's Mortuary. Stubbs died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Suel and Agnes Mosley. She was retired from Coliseum Park Hospital as a licensed practical nurse in the intensive care unit after 20 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Joe C. Stubbs; daughter, Susan Butler of Albany; sister and brother, Ruth M. Ennis of Macon, and Suel Mosley of Rockingham, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon 31201.

Ruth Thomas
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Ruth Thomas will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Pine Bloom Cemetery. Thomas, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000. She was born in Pulaski County, the daughter of the late Lillie Mae and Grant Thomas. The widow of Wesley Thomas, she was retired from Pinewood Manor Nursing Home and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Sylvia Fletcher of Riverdale, Terry Graydon of Tifton and Sandra Phillips of Hawkinsville; sister and brothers, Christine Fleming of Chicago, Sampson Thomas of Florida and James Thomas of Hawkinsville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Tharpe Funeral Home and may be contacted at 400 Lovejoy St.

Otha Walker
Services for Otha Walker will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Greater Antioch Baptist Church with burial in Springhill Cemetery. Walker, 67, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000. He was born in Washington County, the son of the late Susie Mae Guyton. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed by the Northern American Van Line Co. and Southern Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Everlena Hollingshed Walker; children, Brenda Taylor, Glenda Taylor and Otha Walker Jr., all of Macon; a sister, Maude Williams of Live Oak, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 1648 Wilder St., and will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hicks and Sons Mortuary, Macon.

Henrietta West
UNADILLA - Services for Henrietta West will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Unadilla United Methodist Church with burial in Walnut Cemetery. West, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Annie Price. The widow of T.C. West Jr., she was a dietician at All State Truck Stop. She was a member of Unadilla United Methodist Church and the evening circle of the UMW

Survivors include her son, the Rev. Bob Davidson of Macon; two grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bowen-NeSmith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, c/o Dr. D.T. Holden, P.O. Box 328, Unadilla 31091.

Kaitlin Woodson
CORDELE - Services for Kaitlin Renea Woodson, the infant daughter of Rashanda S. Tukes of Warner Robins and Dennis Woodson of Cordele, were Saturday. Kaitlin Renea died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000.

Survivors in addition to her parents include sister, Desiree Woodson of Warner Robins; grandparents, James and Shirley Davis of Warner Robins and Carrie Lavant of Cordele; great-grandparents, Lennie Tukes, Elois Smith, Jerry Butts and Ruth Woodson, all of Cordele, and Leotis Tukes of Dooly County.

J.W. Williams Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.

W.D. Bass
MONTEZUMA - Services for W.D. Bass will be at 3 p.m. today in First Salem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bass, 90, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000. He was a custodian for the Macon County Board of Education. He was a member and deacon of First Salem Baptist Church and was Sunday School superintendent.
Survivors include his children Willie Mae Tookes of Orlando, Fla., Alice Mae Bass of Columbus, Brenda Warren of Montezuma, Jerry Williams of Oglethorpe and Shirley Coleman of New Jersey; and 10 grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 409 Martin Luther King Drive. Hunter's Community Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Louise G. Bishop
SWAINSBORO - Services for Louise Greenway Bishop will be at 5 p.m. today in Union Grove United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bishop, 83, died Saturday, June 2, 2000, after a brief illness.

Survivors include her children Ruth Jenkins, Betty Ann Wiggins and Jo Ann Joyner, all of Swainsboro; sisters and brothers, Marie Coglin and Troy Greenway, both of Greenville, Norma Hooks and Walter Greenway, both of Swainsboro, and Edward Greenway of Twin City; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

Sherman Black Sr.
FORT VALLEY - Services for Sherman Lee Black Sr. will be private. Black, 59, died Friday, June 2, 2000. He was born in Atlanta and had lived in Peach County since 1965. He was a retired diesel mechanic.

Survivors include his children Sherman Black Jr. of Warner Robins, Tim Black and Ople Black, both of Griffin, and Chad Black of Jonesboro; father, Archie Black of Dallas, Ga.; and sister and brother, Edna Brewer of Dallas, Ga., and Wayne Black.

Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry has charge of arrangements.

Teresa Cameron
Services for Teresa Cameron will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Cameron, 42, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in a local hospital. She was born in Bibb County, daughter of the late Thelma J. Ledford. She was an office clerk, retired from Meyer Laminates. She was Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Sr. Cameron; children, April M. Baker, Tiffany Dortch and Stephanie D. Cameron, all of Macon; father, James H. Ledford of Macon; brothers, Robert F. Ledford of Morganton, N.C., and Terry Ledford of Pemberton, N.J.; and a grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home and may be contacted at 3309 Pio Nono Circle and 4925 Log Cabin Drive.
