YVONNE SCOTT
CLEAR LAKE - Mrs. Yvonne Scott, 71, of Snellville, Ga., formerly of Clear Lake, Iowa, died Monday (Aug 9, 1999) in Snellville, Ga.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 12 p.m. Saturday at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel.
Yvonne was born March 19, 1928, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore and Grace (Naber) Epple. She received her education in Mitchell County.
Yvonne married Willard A. Scott on Nov. 28, 1947, in Austin, Minn. They farmed in the Northwood area and also north of Mason City. They moved to Clear Lake in 1968. She opened Scott's Upholstery Shop and operated it until moving to Snellville in 1998 to live by her daughter.
Yvonne was born again in 1953. She loved to cook and did some catering. She was associated with Christians Gathered to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in Mason City.
Yvonne is survived by her husband, Willard A. Scott, of Snellville, Ga.; one daughter, Lorraine Simmer, of Snellville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Derek Simmer and his wife, Angele, of Norfolk Naval Base, Va., Sean and Christopher Simmer, both of Snellville, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Jordyn Simmer; two brothers, Wayne Epple and his wife, Lois, of Grants Pass, Ore., and Orrie Epple and his wife, Judith, of Aredale, Iowa; five sisters, Jene Scott, of Osage, Kathleen Harms, of Muscoda, Wis., Arlene Axiotis, of Hampton, Barbara Swieter and her husband, Harvey, of Hampton, and Lois Novak and her husband, David, of Highland, Wis.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Grace Simmer; and one brother, Ross Epple.

CORY D. MURRA
BUFFALO CENTER - Cory D. Murra, 21, of Buffalo Center, died Sunday (Aug. 8, 1999) near Titonka in an airplane accident.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center with the Rev. Bill Peake officiating. Burial will be in Olena Mound Cemetery , Buffalo Center.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the Winter Funeral Home, 414 First St. N.W., Buffalo Center.
Cory Douglas Murra was born in Blue Earth, Minn., to Douglas and Barbara (Bowers) Murra on Nov. 25, 1977. He was baptized at Ramsey Reformed Church and confirmed at First Reformed Church in 1994.
Cory was an active little boy with a creative imagination.
He attended the Buffalo Center Community School and Titonka Middle School and graduated from North Iowa High School with the class of 1996.
Cory was active and won state honors with the FFA. In high school, he entered the work study program at Main Equipment in Buffalo Center. After graduation, he entered Northeast Iowa Community College at Calmar for a two-year John Deere technical program. Cory also enjoyed restoring old John Deere tractors.
At this time, Cory took on a part-time job at the Decorah Airport. Cory loved his job and the training it took to become a pilot, and worked hard to get his pilots license. He loved flying everything from remote-control model planes to the Citaborea that he was flying Sunday afternoon. Cory could not get enough of flying.
In March of this year, Cory became the shop manager at the Owatonna Airport. He talked highly of his job and could not wait to do more.
He leaves to mourn his mom and dad, Doug and Barb Murra, of Buffalo Center; a brother, Joshua, and a sister, Alicea, both at home; his maternal grandparents, Darvin and Ronna Bowers, of Titonka; his paternal grandmother, Gertrude Murra, of Buffalo Center; his great-grandfather, "Opa" Ben Siehlmann, of Titonka; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Bill Murra; and when Cory was seven, he lost his best friend and brother, Kevin, in a farm-related accident.
SYLVIA ANN KOLLASCH
BANCROFT - Sylvia Ann (Nurre) Kollasch, 94, of Belmond, died Saturday morning (Aug. 7, 1999) at the Belmond Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the St. John Catholic Church, Bancroft, with Father Henry Nurre, Deacon Bill Kollasch and Deacon Phil Doocy officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery , Bancroft.

Sylvia Ann (Nurre) Kollasch was born on April 10, 1905, the first child of Joseph John and Anna Lenz Nurre, in Maple River, Iowa. She lived the first few years of her life in Maple River, Neola and Council Bluffs, Iowa. The family moved to a farm near Bancroft, Iowa, in 1918. She attended St. John School for several years.
On June 16, 1936, Sylvia was united in marriage to Albert Charles Kollasch. They farmed the Kollasch family farm in Bancroft and raised their children there. Sylvia retired to Belmond, Iowa, at the time of her husband's death on July 3, 1979. She entered the Belmond Health Care Center in 1994.
Sylvia enjoyed painting, reading, gardening and playing bridge, but her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a former member of C.D.A.
Survivors include her children, David L. Kollasch and wife, Dorothy Jean, of Verona, Wis., Albert J. Kollasch of Belmond, Joseph J. Kollasch and wife, Marilyn, of Ames, William C. Kollasch and wife, Angelina, of Santa Fe, N.M., Peter Kollasch and wife, Patricia Knox, of Washington Grove, Md., Mary Lou Burke and husband, Barry, of Lexington, Mass., Kathleen Kollasch of McMinnville, Ore., and Sylvia Reed and husband, Jeffrey, of Fond du Lac, Wis. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Robert, Thomas, Michael, Anthony, Benjamin, Edward, George, Dominic, Jonathan and Jeffrey Kollasch, Paul and Karen Burke, Daniel Reed, and Saeed Hassan; five great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Philip Nurre and wife, Rosie, of Seattle, Wash. and Father Henry Nurre OSB of Benet Lake, Wis.; sister, Dorothy and husband, Leslie Harvey, of OshKosh, Wis; sisters-in-law, Doris E. Nurre of Sioux City, Eileen Nurre of Whittemore, and Sylvia (Skipper) Nurre, of Santa Clara, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; seven brothers, John, Eugene, Joseph, Leo, Richard, Gerald and Robert Nurre; and two sisters, Rosemary Stephenson and Sister Mary Paschal, OSF.

BUFFALO CENTER - Raymond M. Honken, 92, of Buffalo Center, died Wednesday (Aug. 11, 1999) at the Timely Mission Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Buffalo Center.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Winter Funeral Home, 414 First St. N.W., Buffalo Center.

BERNARD L. RAMKER
GREENE - A funeral Mass for Bernard L. Ramker, 78, of 608 North Bluff, Greene, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greene, with Monsignor Walter Brunkan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery
with military rites conducted by Tack Barnett Post 268 American Legion of Greene.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene, where there will be a scriptural wake service at 7 p.m.
Bernard LeRoy Ramker was born Aug. 18, 1920, in rural Coldwater Township, Butler County, a son of William and Lottie (Blankenship) Ramker. He died Wednesday (Aug. 11, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
He received his education in the rural Coldwater country school and, as a young man, worked as a farm hand. On Dec. 17, 1942, he was inducted into the United States Army, where he served with Co. A 125th Arm Eng Bn/14th Armd Div. in the Rhineland and Central Europe. Following his discharge on March 18, 1946, he returned to Dougherty, where he helped his sister in the restaurant there.
On Aug. 21, 1943, he was united in marriage to Ella Mehmen at Fort Smith, Ark. To this union were born two children.
Bernard was employed at White Farm Equipment Company in Charles City for 30 years, retiring in August of 1980. He did carpentry and painting jobs in Greene for many years and was also a groundskeeper for St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Coldwater Catholic Cemetery
for 18 years.
His interests included watching baseball on television, playing cards and traveling. He was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greene, past president of the Holy Name Society, member of Tack Barnett Post 268 American Legion of Greene and a lifetime member of U.A.W. Local 1315.
Living family members include his wife, Ella, of Greene; a daughter, Rose and her husband, Steve Edwards, of Charles City; a son, Darwin and his wife, Connie Ramker, of Waverly; six grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Amy Ramker, Jane Waller, Michael Ramker, Tony and his wife, Melissa Edwards, Tami and her husband, Dan Cline, and Traci Edwards; and one great-grandson, Adam Ramker; one sister, Myrna and her husband, Dennis Wolf, of Forest Park, Ill.; one brother, Bob and his wife, Roberta Ramker, of Waverly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Shirley Grimm; and one brother, Kenneth Ramker.

TITONKA - James Van Hove, 62, of Titonka, died Wednesday (Aug. 11, 1999) at his home in rural Titonka.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Good Hope Lutheran Church, Titonka, with the Rev. Merlin Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Lutheran Cemetery , Titonka.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Titonka and after 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
