Harvey Zabilka

OSKALOOSA -- J. Harvey Zabilka, 91, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Oskaloosa, died April 4, 2003, in Lexington.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

No formal visitation is planned, though family and friends may gather at Bates Funeral Chapel by 12:45 p.m. to form a procession to the cemetery.

A memorial has been established in his name.

Audrey Wilkinson

ELDON -- Audrey I. Wilkinson, 81, of Eldon, died Sept. 27, 2002, at her home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1921 in Blakesburg to Lewis and Lona Kephart Major. She married Lawrence Wilkinson May 30, 1941 at Kahoka, Mo.

She attended Ashland rural school near Eldon and lived there most of her adult life. She was a member of the Eldon Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Stephen of Ottumwa, Bill of Batavia, John of Muscatine, and Drexel of Eldon; five daughters, Kay Lyon of Eldon, Lexia Cedillo of Bettendorf, Elaine Burkamper of LeClaire, Becky Whitlock of Atlanta, Mo. and Carmen Baxter of Fremont; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother Kenneth Major of Eldon; and three sisters Maude Renfrew, Thelma Schmidt and Ercel Ridel of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by a daughter LuAnn Sheesley and a daughter in infancy; four brothers, Albert, Drexel, Gilbert, and John Major; and a sister Garnet Orman.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Eldon Christian Church, Eldon with Rev. George Conz officiating. Interment will be at the Eldon Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin noon Sunday at Kremer Funeral Home, Eldon with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Rick Baxter, Howard Lyon, Jim Sheesley, Gary Burkamper, Jerry Cedillo, Charles Whitlock.

Claude Weilbrenner

BLOOMFIELD -- Claude Jacob Weilbrenner, 87, of Bloomfield, died Nov. 20, 2002, at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wagler Funeral Home, Bloomfield. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery , Bloomfield.

Visitation is Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Freda Wallerich

OLLIE -- Freda E. Wallerich, 85, formerly of Ollie, died Sept. 29, 2002, at the Sigourney Care Center.

She was born Dec. 28, 1916, near Ollie to John W. and Frona H. (Neuhart) Gillam. She married Alfred Z. Wallerich June 4, 1940, at The Little Brown Church, Nashua.

She grew up in the Ollie area and graduated from Sigourney High SchooI in 1935. She took Normal training and taught at Doggett and Basey country schools. She had been a member of the Lancaster Christian Church and later joined the South Keokuk Church of the Brethren and attended the Ollie Baptist Church. She was a member of the Star Country Club, the Friendly Four Club and Poinsettia Club, Richland.

Surviving are her husband; her son, Gary Wallerich of Sigourney; one daughter, Cynthia S. Wallerich of Augusta. Ga.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gordon Gillam of Sigourney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Michael; and two sisters, Lois Klein and Donna Pfaff.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ollie Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Comfort officiating. Burial will be at Richland Friends Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home, Richland, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.

A memorial has been established to the Ollie Baptist Church.

Martha Townsend

OTTUMWA -- Martha Townsend, 65, of 620 Gladstone, died 1:55 p.m. Jan. 30, 2003, at the Kavanagh House, Des Moines.

Arrangements are pending at Reece Funeral Home.

Shirley Stoltman

OTTUMWA -- Shirley W. Stoltman, 72, of Coon Rapids, formerly of Ottumwa, died Sept. 27, 2002, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born June 15, 1930, in Ottumwa to Lloyd and Geraldine Perdue. She married Frank Stoltman.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Mark, Kevin and Gregg; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Epiphany.

Visitation will be one hour prior to mass and from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday with 8 p.m. Prayers at Washburn McReavy Seman Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids, Blvd., Coon Rapids, Minn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

Chad Stice

UNIONVILLE -- Chad Stice, 19, of Unionville/Albia, died Dec. 11, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.

He was born Sept. 17, 1983 at Ottumwa to David Stice and Ann 0stermeyer He graduated from Moulton-Udell High School June 2002 where he was an Honor Student and was a member of the football Team. He was nominated for All-State Honors his senior year. He worked at Rubbermaid and Hardees and was planning to enter the Criminal Justice Program at Indian Hills Community College. He was wanting to become a State of Iowa Highway Patrolman.

He is survived by his mother Ann Ostermeyer and her husband Ray of Albia; his father David Stice and his wife Fonda of Unionville; five brothers and sisters, Tom Slice of Unionville, Matt Stice of Albia, Kayla Williams of Unionville, Nathan Williams of Davenport, and Ray Ostermeyer of Albia; grandparents Pauline Stice and Sonny Bain of Ottumwa, Jack and Sandra Kennelly of Moulton, and LeRoy and Leona Ostermeyer of Albia; and his girl friend Teri Simondale of Albia.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville with Father Joe Miller officiating.

Visitation will be all day today (Friday) at Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with the family present from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Burial will be at Unionville Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Moulton Athletic Dept. and may be left or mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 6, Centerville 52544.

Chad Stice

Mary Spring

CENTERVILLE -- Mary Jessie Spring, 89, of Centerville, died Jan. 29,2003, at her home.

She was born March 7, 1913 to James and Lena (Maulsby) Aitken at Unionville, Mo. She married Ken B. Spring April 21, 1950 at Centerville. He preceded her in death Nov. 1969.

She graduated from Unionville High School, Unionville, Mo. and graduated from Iowa Beauty School, Des Moines in 1933. She and her husband owned and operated a beauty shop in Centerville, "Beauty at the Springs" for many years. She was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church where she was involved in C.W.F. and Lydia Circle

Surviving family members are two step-daughters, Shirley Simon of Des Moines and Jerry O'Toole of Bedford, Texas ; two sisters, Jean Baldock of Unionville, Mo. and Isabelle Rodgers of Centerville; three step-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren; and five step great great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Schmidt Family Funeral Home, Centerville with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery , Centerville.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m., today (Friday) at the funeral home with the family present 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Southern Iowa and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, 52544.

Floyd Seuferer

KNOXVILLE -- Floyd Seuferer, 84, of 106 N. Parklane, Knoxville, died July 30, 2002, at Westridge Care Center, Knoxville.

He was born in Lacona. He married Betty, she preceded him in death.

He was a lifelong resident of Lacona, residing with his daughter for the past six months. He had been a farmer and school bus driver. He retired in 1978. He had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lacona.

Surviving are four daughters, Sandy Roland of Knoxville, Nancy Varela of Clovis, Calif., Barbara Garrison of Wasalla, Alaska, and Karen Vinsick of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Giles Seuferer of Lacona; and four sisters, Hildred Osborn, Lorraine Johnson and Beatrice Osborn, all of Des Moines, and Gladys Dittmer of Lacona.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lacona. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery , Lacona.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today (Friday) at Mosher Funeral Home, Lacona, with a Vigil at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lacona.
