Fredd Harry Lang formerly of Carpentersville
Services for Fredd Harry Lang, 65, most recently of Baywood Park, Calif., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Los Osos Valley Memorial Park in California.
Born May 1, 1993, to Harry W. and Nellie Sjurseth Lang, he died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in California.
Mr. Lang graduated from Dundee High School and attended radio school in Chicago before moving to California in 1955. He was employed by the telephone company in California for 39 years.
He is survived by his father, Harry William Lang of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; wife, Nancy Ann Duffield Lang of Baywood Park, Calif.; sons, Mark Fredd of Baywood Park, Jeffrey Garth of Susanville, Calif. and Scott Harry of Gilroy, Calif.; and several cousins in the Elgin area.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Disease Research.

Edward J. Lemberg of Mount Prospect
A funeral Mass for Edward J. Lemberg, 79, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Raymond de Penafort Church.
Born Jan. 3, 1920, in Chicago, he died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Fort Myers, Fla.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Lemberg had been a painter by trade. Among his special interests, he was a member of the Arlington Heights Senior Center.
He was the beloved husband of Virginia Lemberg (nee Geni); loving father of Jean Trnka and Diane Joergens; and proud grandfather of three.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence, Norridge.

Helen C. MacKenzie
Prayers for Helen C. MacKenzie will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Matthew Church, 1001 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg.
Born in Chicago, she died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in Hoffman Estates. Interment will bein St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Mary) and his family, Kenneth Jr., Mary, Noreen, Eileen and Jack; and daughters, Joan (James) Wenzel and her family, Julia, Joyce, James Jr. and Jennifer; Susan Kennedy and her family, Kathleen, Anne, Sharon and Robert; and Bette (David) Gillis and her family, Laura and Michael; brother, Kenneth (Naomi) Carbonel; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Leunta Cecelia McDonough (nee Gallagher), 69, of Oakbrook, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Arrangements were made by Gibbons Funeral Home, (630) 832-0018.

Thomas L. McSorely of Grayslake
Services for Thomas L. McSorely, 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd Grayslake. Pastor William Kruger will officiate.
Born Aug. 13, 1930, in Victor, Mo., he died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. McSorely had been a resident of Grayslake for thepast seven years, formerly of Wildwood for more than 27 years. He retired in 1979 from U. S. Steel in Waukegan, where he was employed in quality control. After retirement, he was employed at Freund International Company in Libertyville and Decorel Company in Mundelein. He was a member of Calvary Christian Center in Lake Villa and the Steel Workers Retiree Club.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jean, whom he married on Dec. 9, 1950, in Cicero; daughters, Cynthia Lind of Antioch and Patricia (Tim) Grubbs of Pickerington, Ohio; son, Thomas L. (Rita) McSorely Jr. of Manassas, Va.; sister, Carol (Jim) Cooper of Nashville, N. C.; brother, Virgil McSorely of Portage, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Stella McSorely; and sisters, Betty Skaggs, Evelyn Long and Dolores Tubbs.
Friends of the family may visit from 6 to9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Peggy Marie Podboy of Mount Prospect
Funeral services for Peggy Marie Podboy, 50, will begin at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, at Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6467 N. Northwest Hwy. (one block north of Devon), Chicago, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Emily Church, Mount Prospect.
Born Oct. 29, 1948, in Chicago, she died while surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital, after an 8-year battle with breast cancer.
Ms. Podboy was president and owner of FOCUS meetings and events since 1993. Prior to that, she was director of meetings at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons for 10 years.
Her love of nature, wildlife and the great outdoors led her to an encounter with a mountain lion while hiking to Sperry Chalet in 1995 at Glacier National Park in Montana.
Survivors include her son, Jim Podboy; granddaughter, Taylor Podboy of New Libson, Wis.; brother, Ron (Janet) Podboy of Littleton, Colo.; sister, Donna (Bob) Sulkosky of Willow, Ark.; father, Alfred Podboy; and sister, Patti Podboy of Mount Prospect.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Podboy (nee Pecaro) in 1983.
Ms. Podboy was also a fond cousin and supportive friend of many; her grace, strength and determination inspired all.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Louise M. Roombos of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Louise M. Roombos, 86, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, Ltd., 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, and continue to St. Thomas of Villanova Church for a 10 a.m. Mass.
Born May 1, 1912, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at Northwest Continuing Care Center. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Robert (Betty) Roombos of Arlington Heights and Charles (Lana) Verschoore of Greensburg, Pa.; grandsons, Charles (Anna) Verschoore of Leeds, England and David (Pam) Verschoore of Brookville, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Scott, Michael and Alexander Verschoore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Roombos.

Peter A. Salerno of Bartlett

He was the beloved husband of Cecilia Ann (nee DeLuca); devoted father of Pat, Janet (Bob) Furman and Michele (Joe) Giannelli; dear brother of Nancy (Richard) Porcelius and Frank `Chickie' (Grace) Greco; dear brother-in-law of John (Thelma) and Clem (Loretta) DeLuca; fond grandfather of Lisa Rizzo and Joseph and Michael Giannelli; and dear uncle of many nieces andnephews.

Margaret B. Schnur of Wildwood
Services for Margaret B. Schnur (nee Benson), 91, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave., Lake Villa. The Rev. Bruce Cole will officiate.
Born Aug. 27, 1907, in Chicago, she passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Provena St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville, following the services.
Formerly of Waukegan, Mrs. Schnur had been a resident of Wildwood for 23 years. She had retired in 1973 from Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago and was a member of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church of Grayslake and the American Legion Auxiliary of Chicago.
She leaves her loving son, Sanders (Dorothy) Schnur of Wildwood; granddaughter, Kathleen (Joe) Priola ofGages Lake; great-grandchildren, Jason (Chrissy) Gibbs of Lake Villa and Willie Gibbs of Waukegan; and great-great-granddaughter, Ashlee Gibbs of Lake Villa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmanuel and Kari Benson; brothers, Edward and John Benson; granddaughter, Karen Gibbs on Sept. 19, 1998; and grandson, Tom Schnur, in 1978.
Friends of the family may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Rex S. Tuttle of Des Plaines

Born March 29, 1916, in South Bend, Ind., he died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Lee Manor Healthcare Residence. Burial will be private.
He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Tuttle (nee Puffer) and the late Francine Tuttle (nee Hupke); loving father of Mark (Kay) Tuttle of Des Plaines, Kim Tuttle of Grayslake and Amy Tuttle of Milwaukee, Wis.; and dear brother of A. Lyle Tuttle of Sun City, Ariz., and R. Bruce Tuttle of Skokie.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Henry H. Schorsch Sr. of Chicago
Funeral services for Henry H. Schorsch Sr., 73, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Malec and Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.
Born Oct. 11, 1925, he died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at Our Lady of Resurrection. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mr. Schorsch served during World War II as a sergeant in the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (nee Lis); sons, Henry Jr. (Jenesta), Steven (Harriet) and Kenneth (Susan) Schorsch; daughter, Sandra Mendyk; brother, Raymond (Betty Jean) Schorsch; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
