DANVILLE – Geraldine H. Miller of Danville died at 8:05 p.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.

Private graveside services will be in Spring Hill cemetery, Danville.

There will be no visitation. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.

Edna Morton

RIDGE FARM – Graveside services for Edna Beatrice Morton, 99, formerly of Ridge Farm will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crown Hill cemetery, Ridge Farm. Pastor Ray Price will officiate.

Memorial services will be at a later date in the Ridge Farm United Methodist Church.

Pape Memorial Home and Gardens, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Morton died Sunday (April 1, 2001) at Scottsdale, Ariz.

Georgia Murphey

FARMER CITY – Funeral services for Georgia I. Murphey, 70, of Urbana, formerly of Farmer City, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 106 N. Main St., Farmer City. Pastor Dave Ashby and Pastor Patrick Smith will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Farmer City.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Murphey died at 6:45 p.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at The Carle Arbours, Savoy.

Carlos Ogden

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Carlos Ogden, who grew up in Paris, Ill., and whose heroic action on the battlefields of France during World War II earned him the Medal of Honor, died Monday (April 2, 2001) in California.

A memorial service for Mr. Ogden will be Saturday in San Jose. On June 25 – the 57th anniversary of his heroic action in battle – his family will deliver his ashes to Arlington National cemetery for interment with military honors.

Mr. Ogden, 83, died of leukemia at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Palo Alto.

Alan Peshkin

URBANA – A memorial service for Alan Peshkin, 69, of Palo Alto, Calif., formerly of Champaign, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Pine Lounge of the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St., U.

Mr. Peshkin died Dec. 7, 2000, at Palo Alto.

Barbara Proctor

CHARLESTON – Barbara A. Proctor, 63, of Charleston died Monday (April 2, 2001) at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Bushton Christian Church. The Rev. Don Pruitt will officiate. Burial will be in Fairland cemetery, Fairland.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston.

Willard Ross

LODA – Willard Glen Ross, 85, of Loda died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2001) at Heartland Health Care, Paxton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Loda United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Hauck will officiate. Burial, with military rites by Loda American Legion Post 503, will be in Pine Ridge cemetery, Loda.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton, is in charge of arrangements.

Scott Stephen

URBANA – No funeral services will be held for Scott Stephen, 50, of Urbana.

Owens Funeral Home, Champaign, is handling arrangements.

Mr. Stephen died at 1:25 a.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Lynn Tabaka

PEACH TREE CITY, Ga. – Lynn F. Tabaka, 69, of Peach Tree City, Ga., formerly of Urbana, died Monday (April 2, 2001) at home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, La Grange, Ga.

Carl Toby

COVINGTON, Ind. – Carl G. "Tob" Toby, 73, of Covington died at 1:58 a.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2001) at Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home, 622 Third St., Covington. The Rev. William C. Nickle will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, Covington.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m., followed by a fireman's memorial service.

Robert Armstrong

NEWMAN – Robert Armstrong, 85, of Newman died at 1:40 p.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at Boxwood Health Care Center, Newman.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Joines Funeral Home, Newman.

Wilma Bunten

MATTOON – Idella Wilma Bunten, 82, of Mattoon, formerly of Oakland, died at 5:51 a.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Taber Funeral Home, 221 E. Main St., Oakland. Russell Witmer will officiate. Burial will be in Embarras cemetery, west of Redmon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Les Carter

OAKLEY – Les Carter, 59, of Oakley died at 11 a.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton. J. Kent Hickerson will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Rucker Chapel cemetery, DeWitt County.

There will be no visitation.

Michael Cox

NEW BADEN – Michael Cox, 39, of New Baden, formerly of Arcola, died at 5:55 p.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at his home.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola.

Margie Davis

DANVILLE – Margie Lucille Davis, 77, of Danville died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday (April 1, 2001) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. The Rev. Phil Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Danville National cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Clifford Devall

FISHER – Clifford Dean Devall, 61, of Fisher died at 12:11 a.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul. The Rev. Andy Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Willowbrook cemetery, Fisher.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
