Cynthia Diane Lehman, 58, of Decatur, IL, died 7:54 A.M., Friday, December 28, 2007, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 31, 2007, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Sunday, December 30, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Donor’s Choice.
Cindy was born April 8, 1949, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles Owen and Beulah (Lobdill) Lehman.
Cindy was a teacher for over 30 years for Decatur Public Schools. She taught Special Education at Mound Middle School and English at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, where she was an extremely caring and devoted teacher. Cindy enjoyed collecting Steiff bears with her daughter. She most enjoyed spending time with her daughter, family, and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Anastasia Freeman and husband Jeremy of Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
My mother was the most beautiful and talented person I know. She was completely devoted to me and made me feel like the most special person in the world. She encouraged me and made me the person I am today. Our time together was so precious to both of us. She was my inspiration, role model, and best friend. I will admire and love her always.

Thomas C. LeVeck

Thomas C. “Chooch” LeVeck, 67, of Carlyle, IL, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
Mr. LeVeck was born on June 3, 1940, in Decatur, the son of Thomas Clifford and Mary J. (Campbell) LeVeck. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. LeVeck worked as a tire builder for Firestone, and worked at Borg Warner and Tommy House Tire.
Mr. LeVeck was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, American Legion Post #105, and of the local painters union. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Cardinal fan.
Surviving are his mother Mary Jo LeVeck of Carlyle, IL; Ann LeVeck; sons Aaron LeVeck of Decatur, IL; Carey LeVeck and wife Katrina of Warrensburg, IL; Andre LeVeck and wife Tricha of Decatur, IL; Jeremiah LeVeck and wife Lakiesha of Fairbanks, AK; daughters Leslie Heathcock of Decatur, IL; Angelia Martinez and huband Jorge of Fairbanks, AK; Dawn Guerrero and husband Raul of Fort Riley, KS; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother James LeVeck and wife Sandra of Carlyle, IL; sisters Suzanne Parker of Carlyle, IL; and Patty LeVeck of Orange, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas C. LeVeck, Sr., son Anthony LeVeck, and granddaughters Courtney and Laura Brown.
The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to Cancer Care Specialists of Decatur, IL., Hospice in Centralia IL., thank you Darlene for the angel walking among us and thanks also to Rod and Joyce Elmore.

Mary Josephine LeVeck

Mary Josephine LeVeck, 94, of Carlyle, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL, died 6:15 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2008, at Carlyle Health Care.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Saturday, May 17, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or Cancer Care Specialists, Decatur, IL.
Mary was born August 18, 1913, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles Ray and Gertrude (Flynn) Campbell. She married Thomas Clifford LeVeck on September 28, 1937 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1974.
Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Decatur Women’s Council. She was employed at the Signal Depot in Decatur and later retired from Chanute Air Force Base where she worked as a secretary.
She is survived by her son James LeVeck and wife Sandy of Carlyle, IL; daughters Suzie M. Parker of Carlyle, IL, M. Patricia LeVeck of Orange, CA; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; her identical twin sister Helen Despres of Belleville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas LeVeck, Sr., son Thomas C. LeVeck, Jr., grandsons Brian and Anthony Quinn LeVeck, great granddaughters Courtney Brown, Laura Brown, Maria Cycotte.

Ronald D. Lindsey

Ronald D. Lindsey, 65, of Decatur, IL, died 11:40 A.M., Thursday, December 6, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 10, 2007, at First Free Will Baptist Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, December 9, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.
Memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church or DMH Hospice.
Ronald was born September 13, 1942, in Decatur, IL, the son of Joseph and Mary (Shaw) Lindsey. He married Sue West on November 28, 1963 in Decatur, IL.
Ronald was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. He retired in 1995 after 30 years at Firestone Tire as a tire builder. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue of Decatur, IL; sons Brian Lindsey of Quincy, IL, Brad Lindsey and wife Cory of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Brittny, Preston, Peyton, Benjamin and Parker; brothers Joe Lindsey and wife Terri of Mt. Zion, IL, Jim Lindsey and wife Mary of Decatur, IL, Gary Lindsey of Decatur, IL; sisters Mary Ellen Smith of Lincoln, IL and Michelle Fulk of Decatur, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Velma.
Special thanks to Rev. Penn and all the members of First Free Will Baptist Church that called and comforted us during Ron’s illness and those at DMH Hospice.

Donna Maxine Malloy, 64, of Decatur, passed away at 5:59 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, in her home.Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, where visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Interment will be at Macon County Memorial Park.

Donna was born on June 11, 1943, in Lovington, IL, the daughter of John and Shirley (Gentry) Maxedon. She married John P. Malloy on August 31, 1984, in Decatur.
Donna previously worked as a hairdresser, was a bartender at Friendly Bar and Elmer’s, and worked for General Electric. She attended Harvest Temple Church of God and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are her husband of 23 years, John of Decatur; son Steve Doty and wife Namsoo of CA; stepchildren John Malloy, Jr. of S.C.; Kim Houser of TN; Kent Davis of FL; brother Bobby Dobbs and wife Tiny of TX; sister-in-law Karen Dobbs of TX; sisters Cheryl Hathaway of Harristown; Sharon Flanningan, Carolyn Burcham both of Decatur; aunts and uncles Maxine York of Decatur; Janie and Clint Camic of Windsor; Reed and Corrine Gentry of Cerro Gordo; Carol Burdine of Harristown; Billy and Jean Gentry, Terry York, Joe Gentry, and Joyce Arterburn, all of Decatur. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Russell and Lucy Gentry, brother Roger Dobbs, nephew John Campbell and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:30 PM Tuesday in Toulon cemetery, Toulon, IL.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Sunday School.
Etta was born November 1, 1921, in Toulon, IL, the daughter of Robert Allen and Katie Jane (Hyde) Crow. She married Leo Gerald Marshall on May 19, 1951 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2006.
Etta was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was active in the Church Women’s Circle. She was a bookkeeper at Caterpillar, Inc. and a Homemaker. Etta was a member of Garden Club and Home Betterment Club in Decatur and active in the Hickory Point Home Extension.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Gail McCandless and husband Bryan of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren Katie Stafford and husband Jason of Champaign, IL, Kristyn McCandless of Boston, MA; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Marie and Julia Leigh Stafford of Champaign, IL; sister Ruth Connor of Peoria, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo, sisters Sarah Bennett, Emily Hunt, Pauline Stoops, brothers John Allen Crow, Gilbert Crow, James Crow.

Nancy Elizabeth Mason

DECATUR – Nancy Elizabeth Mason, 53, of Decatur, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at 12:48 am, February 11, 2008 in her home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, February 14 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Friday, February 15 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn cemetery.
Nancy was born September 2, 1954 in Shelbyville, daughter of Robert and Darlene (Anderson) Lively. She married Gregory Mason on May 28, 1977. Nancy was a Registered Nurse and worked most recently at New Life Pregnancy Center. She devoted her life to caring for her husband, two children and others. Nancy had a personal relationship with the Lord, loved studying and teaching others about God’s Word and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Decatur . Nancy’s faith, courage, and strength have been an inspiration to many as she has shared her journey through her illness. She will be missed on Earth, but she is rejoicing in Heaven.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory of Decatur; son, Timothy Mason of Honolulu, Hawaii; daughter, Elizabeth (Keith) Creighton of Decatur; granddaughter, Zoe Creighton of Decatur; mother, Darlene Lively of Shelbyville; brother, Tom (Jane) Lively of Brentwood, Tennessee; sister, Becky (Tom) Jones of Paxton; brother, Mitch (Chris) Lively of Nags Head, North Carolina; brother, Brent (Jackie) Lively of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lively of Shelbyville.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ben Esparaz, the nurses at Cancer Care Specialists, and the DMH Hospice team, especially Gail Dougherty. Memorials may be made to New Life Pregnancy Center or the Tabernacle Church Building Fund.

Billy Gene Matheny, Sr.

Plano, Texas - Billy Gene Matheny, Sr., 83, of Plano, TX, formerly of Decatur, died Sunday March 16, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, TX.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2008 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.
Memorials may be made to Sunnyside Rd. Church of Christ, Decatur, IL.
Billy was born January 25, 1925, in Charleston, IL., the son of, John Ira and Pearl (Jenkins) Matheny. He married Phyllis Woods.
Billy was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was the owner and operator of Bill Matheny Heating and Air, from which he retired. He also served as a letter carrier for 14 years prior to his involvement as a businessman.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; one son, Bill G. (wife, Velda) Matheny of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Lora Matheny Mortensen and husband Will, and Christopher Todd Matheny and wife Shana all of Plano, TX, Timothy Martin Chrisman of Dallas, TX, Jennifer Chrisman Steele and husband John of Texarkana, TX; and great grandchildren Todd William Mortensen, Joseph Henry Mortensen, Samuel Patrick Mortensen, Annalise Sophie Matheny, Alexandra Grace Matheny, McCain Todd Matheny, Shelby Caroline Steele, Nathan Timothy Steele, and Lauren Elizabeth Steele; several nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by both parents, one daughter Karen Chrisman, one brother, Benny Richard Matheny, and one sister, Norma Matheny Miller.
