James Ray `Jim' Garrett Jr. of Carpentersville
Services for James Ray `Jim' Garrett Jr., 18, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Carpentersville. The Rev. Robert Baker will officiate.
Born July 12, 1980, in Elgin, he died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at his home.
Burial will be in Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
A lifelong resident of the Carpentersville area, Mr. Garrett was a 1998 graduate of Dundee-Crown High School.
Jim is survived by his mother, Sharon (Wayne) Schule of Carpentersville; father, James R. (Patricia) Garrett Sr. of Davis, Ill.; brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Schule, Lindsay Revera, John Schule, Keith Thompson and Thomas Ptack; maternal grandparents, John and Betty Hamann of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; paternal grandparents, James and Kathryn Garrett of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. Monday, at the church.
Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the FISH Food Pantry.

Constance `Connie' Harsa of Naperville since 1970
Prayers for Constance `Connie' Harsa, 60, will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Monday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville.
Born Jan. 1, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, she died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at her home. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
Mrs. Harsa worked in the customer relations department of United Healthcare.
She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was an avid `Soccer Grandma. ' She is survived by her husband, Joe Harsa of Naperville; daughters, Jean (David) Chocola of Naperville and Michelle Harsa of Carpentersville; son, Joe Harsa Jr. (wife, Dallas) of Naperville; grandchildren, Joey and Adam Chocola; sister, Nancy Cordes of Cleveland, Ohio; and brothers, Harold and James Winkler of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ann Winkler.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Leslie G. `Les' Hodge of Batavia
Funeral services for Leslie G. `Les' Hodge, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Batavia, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time ofservice. The Rev. Philip D. Lund will officiate.
Born Dec. 31, 1924, in Waltonville, Ill., he passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at Delnor-Community Hospital, Geneva.
Interment will be in River HIlls Memorial Park, Batavia.
Les had served in the Air Force during World War II. He was a well-known sports writer for the Kane County Chronicle andwas elected into the Illinois Sports Writer Hall of Fame. He was also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia.
He is survived by his four children, Janis (Jeff) Graffagna of LaFox, Gerald (Lisa) Hodge of Elburn, Gregg (Nancy) Hodge of Batavia and Sandra (Bob) Wagner of Lemont; 11 grandchildren, Erin, Mallory, Christopher, Jaclyn, Kelsey, Ben, Steven, Kevin, Jay, Samantha and Douglas; and sister, Myrtle Petrosky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Melba V. Hodge, in 1997.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.

Donald V. Sunne Johnson of Schaumburg
Services for Donald V. Sunne Johnson, 59, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave., Barrington.
The Rev. Alvin Johnson will officiate.
Born Oct. 5, 1939, in Chicago, he passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Luncheon will follow at the church.
Mr. Johnson was a faithful member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, where he was a former brotherhood director and vestry member. Don was employed at Motorola for 36 years and was most recently a project manager in theFederal Systems Organization and a member of the elite Galvin Masters Organization. He was a chapter director of the Hoffman Estates US Too and a member of the national board of directors of US Too. In addition, he served in the Air National Guard.
Mr. Johnson was appointed Scout Master at the 1989 Boy Scout Jamboree and also served as chiefof the Indian Guide and Princess program at the YMCA.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Johnson, whom he married Oct. 5, 1963, in Chicago; children, James Allen and Rebecca Ann Johnson, both of Schaumburg; and mother, Eva Johnson, 93, of Carpentersville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the US Too Organization, 930 N. York Road, Suite 50, Hinsdale, IL 60521-2993.

Elizabeth `Liz' Kee of Elgin
Memorial visitation for Elizabeth `Liz' Kee, 82, will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
Born Jan. 22, 1917, in New Rochelle, N. Y., the daughter of Edwin and Bernardette Prouty, she died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates. Burial will be private.
A member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #610 of Elgin, she is survived by her children, Suellen Redlin of Hampshire and Brandt (Judi) Redlin of Elgin; grandchildren, Caitlen Vick of Hampshire and Jessica Redlin of South Elgin; and sister-in-law, Roz Prouty of Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Kee in 1975; brother, Chester Prouty; and sister, Jacquline Headley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin.

Robert P. Kovich of Wauconda
Visitation for Robert P. Kovich, 63, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today, at Kisselburg- Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Born Dec. 1, 1935, in Chicago, hedied Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
Mr. Kovich had been a resident of Wauconda for six years and had formerly lived in McHenry and Chicago. During his entire career he had worked as a mechanical design engineer. He was also an Army veteran and an avid motorcyle rider.
He was the loving father of Steven W. Kovich of Elburn; Lisa (Tore) Sivertsen of Richmond, Ill., and Karen Kovich of Palatine; proud grandfather of Jordan andPaige; beloved son of Janet Chesney and the late Frank Kovich; dear brother of Frank and Ronald (Marilyn) Kovich, Rebecca and Judith Chesney, and the late Dennis Kovich; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Memorials made toa charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.

Robert A. Lukasek of Palatine
Services for Robert A. Lukasek, 42, will begin with prayers at 9:45 a.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness.
Born Oct. 18, 1956, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights.
Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Lukasek had been employed as a pharmacist for CareMark Pharmacy in Lincolnshire.
He was the beloved son of Estelle A. Lukasek of Evergreen Park and the late Dr. Alfred Lukasek, M. D.; dear brother of Loretta (Kurt) Wandrey of St. Charles and Linda (Floyd) Heller of Deer Park; and caring uncle of Lindsay, Jason and Stacy.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

George Francis Mann of Naperville
Services for George Francis Mann, 65, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville.
Born May 16, 1933, in Fort Worth,Texas, he died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at Edward Hospital, Naperville. Interment will be in Naperville Cemetery.
Mr. Mann had moved to Naperville from Arlington Heights in 1973. He received his bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Texas in Austin. An independent insurance agent since 1976, Mr. Mann owned and operated the G. F. Mann Insurance Agency in Naperville since 1976 and served on several insurance advisory boards during his career. He was a life member of the Texas Ex-Students and a member of the First Christian Church of Naperville, and was active with the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Doniece Joystelle Mann (nee Thomas) of Naperville; sons, George (Julie) Mann III of Naperville, Jack (Heather) Mann of Aurora and Judson Mann of Naperville; daughter, Judy (David) Searles of Tampa, Fla.; and grandchildren, George F. Mann IV, Jack T. Mann Jr. and Hayley E. Mann.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George F. and Rozelle (nee Peavy) Mann.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Edward E. Melton formerly of Northbrook
A memorial service for Edward E. Melton, 87, of Englewood, Fla., will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, at Faith Lutheran Church, 551 Rotonda Blvd. West, Rotonda West, FL 33947.
Born Jan. 31, 1912, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Hal and Fern (nee Dayton) Melton, he died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Bon Secours-Venice Hospital in Florida.
A resident of the Englewood area for 27 years, he was an avidgolfer, billiard player, bowler and hunter.
Survivors include his wife, June Melton of Rotonda West; daughters, Susan (Bruce) McFarland of Glenview and Sally (Rich) Grilli of Hartland, Wis.; sons, William (Suzanne) Melton of Arlington Heights, Brian (Sheila) Melton of Libertyville and Scott Melton of Omaha, Neb.; stepsons, Tom (Peg) Scott of Libertyville and Jerry (Marsha) Scott of Venice, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchidlren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kerma J. Melton in 1970.

George William Mourafetis lifelong resident of Palatine
Funeral services for George William Mourafetis, 38, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Nectarios Church, 133 S. Roselle Road, Palatine.
Born June 27, 1960, in Highland Park, he died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
Mr. Mourafetis was a great scholar and educator, working as an independent research scientist. He graduated in 1978 as valedictorian from Fremd High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1982 from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. He alsoattended Rush Medical College, University of Michigan and Boston College.
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Demi Mourafetis of Palatine; brothers, William L. (Jennifer) Mourafetis of Crystal Lake and James M. (Julie) Mourafetis of West Bloomfield, Mich.; nephews, Michael, C. J., Jameson and Samuel; niece, Chrissie; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Mary Botsios and George and Aphrodite Mourafetis.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Memorials may be made for the nieces and nephews to the George W. Mourafetis Education Fund, c/o Harris Bank, 3225 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.
