GEFF, ILL. — Charles F. Dolton, 78, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999 in Fairfield.
Surviving are two sisters, Opal Gaither and Meryl McDowell, both of Albion; a brother, Loren of Fairfield; and nieces and nephew.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nale’s Funeral Albion Chapel, with burial in Locust Grove cemetery in Mount Erie.

Billy Tucker
HARRISBURG, Ill. — Billy W. Tucker, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
He retired as executive director of the Illinois Department of Mental Health Education.
Surviving are a sister, Vina M. Seely of Monticello, Ind.; a brother, Tommy of Shawneetown; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Vickery Funeral Home, with burial in Westwood cemetery.

Bessie Bailey
ROBINSON, Ill. — Bessie I. Bailey, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at the Extended Care Unit of the Crawford Memorial Hospital.
She had worked in the dietary department of the Schmidt Clinic and at Crawford Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Klippel of Chesterton, Ind.; three sons, William Meredith of Benton, Danny of Vienna and Chuck of Oblong; nine grandchildren, Terry, Mike, Russell and Curt Bailey, Charlene Turner, Dawn Mohler, Danell Mott, Angie Elias and Tony Klippel; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Paul L., died in 1963 and an infant daughter, Carolyn Rosann, in 1934.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in Oblong cemetery.

HARRISBURG, Ill. — Everett Burnett Brantley, 77, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
He had been a coal miner for the Peabody Coal Co. and member of the United Mine Workers.
Surviving are his wife, Imogene; two daughters, Shirley Cavender and Matilda Grisham, both of Harrisburg; a son, Leonard of Harrisburg; and six grandchildren, Todd Cavender, Angela and Kit Brantley, Kristy Beers, Amy Buchanan and Diana Hadley. A son, Arthur, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gaskins Funeral Home, with burial in Pierson Hill cemetery.

DAHLGREN, Ill. — Ernie E. Lemke, 82, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at his home. He was Baptist.
He had been a farmer and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby M.; two daughters, Marie Barr of Dahlgren and Minnie L. Butler of Nolensville, Tenn.; a son, Everett of Dahlgren; five grandchildren, Cindy Phillips, Keith Barr, Todd Butler and Joshua and Evana Lemke; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

FAIRFIELD, Ill. — Audrey Kelly O’Donnell, 68, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at her home of heart failure.
She had been the activity director at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

OBLONG, Ill. — Anna Louise Linz, 100, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at the Burgin Manor Nursing Home.
She had been a saleslady at Marion’s Candy Store in baltimore, Md.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Ann Shryock of Oblong and Agnes Williams of Holly Springs, Miss.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Adolph Otto, died in 1954.

William Hosselton
CISNE, Ill. — William S. “Bill” Hosselton, 55, of Clay City, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, of cancer at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville.
He was a farmer, oil field worker and member of the Zif Missionary Baptist Church in Clay City.
He served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Connie; three sons, Bill Jr. and Ryan, both of Clay City, and Greg of Manteno; a sister, Reveta Black of Carbondale; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zif Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Clay City cemetery.

WAYNE CITY, Ill. — Thurman J. Gammon, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ill.
He was a farmer, owned a sawmill and trained thoroughbred horses.
He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and the United Thoroughbred Association.
Surviving are his wife, Adeline; a daughter, Christine Rainwater of Wayne City; two sons, Jerald and Larry, both of Wayne City; four sisters, Wanda McCormick of Wayne City, Katherine Forth of Carlyle, Ill., Vernice Hall of Nashville, Ill., and Frances Hopper of Fairfield; a brother, Dwight of Beckemeyer; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Infant Alexander Glenn
ST. FRANCISVILLE, Ill. — Alexander Ethan Glenn, three-day-old son of Adam and Michele Glenn of St. Francisville, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from complication since birth.
Also surviving are grandparents, Michael and Marsha Sechrest and Lester L. and Corita Glenn; and great-grandparents.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Smith Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
Perley Owen
BROUGHTON, Ill. — Perley Glen Owen, 82, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at his home.
He was a retired tool repairman for Babcock & Wilcox Co. in Mount Vernon, Ind., and had also worked for the Indiana Farm Bureau.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Seabees.
He was a member of McLeansboro American Legion Post 106, Carmi Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Broughton Masonic Lodge 963 for 57 years.
He was Protestant.
Surviving are his wife, Opal D.; three daughters, Geraldine Barker of Broughton, Leona Reed of Crete and Virgie Ledford of Shorewood; a son, Joseph of Orchardville; four sisters, Essie Graham, Myrtle McDonald and Irene Partain, all of Broughton, and Genevieve Jones of Dixon; three brothers, Harvey of Clinton, Mich., Claude of Broughton and Wilburn of Finley; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Gholson Funeral Home McLeansboro Chapel, with burial in Hickory Hill cemetery in Broughton, with military rites.
