Joseph Franklin `Buck' Moree Jr. of Plainfield
Services for Joseph Franklin `Buck' Moree Jr., 70, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at Crystal Lawns Church of the Nazarene, 2424 Caton Farm Road, Joliet. The Rev. Robert L. Anderson will officiate.
Born Jan. 17, 1929, in Chesterfield County, S. C., he died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Provena-St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Interment will be in Johnson Grove Cemetery, Waterman, Ill.
Mr. Moree was a longtime resident of the Aurora/Plainfield area and had lived in Oswego, Aurora and Montgomery as well as Plainfield. A veteran, he had served in the Army in Alaska during the Korean War. He retired in 1991 from Kalunzy Bros., a rendering company, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of Crystal Lawns Church of the Nazarene in Joliet and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Clara B. Kleckner Moree (nee Huey) of Plainfield; daughters, Sandra J. (Larry) Moree Harlow of Joliet, Martha Gail (John) Moree Rodgers of Chester, S. C., and Cathy Darlene Moree Houston of Chester; stepsons, David Kleckner of Aurora, Michael (Janet) Kleckner of Seneca, Ill., and Ronald (Rebecca) Kleckner of Newark, Ill.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Bob (Carolyn) Moree of Charlotte, N. C., and Jack (Sylvia) Moree of Pawley's Island, S. C.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Franklin Moree Sr.; mother, Anna Mae Ellis Moree; stepmother, Ola Mae Robinson Moree; and stepson, Barry Kleckner.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. today, at Overman Jones Funeral Home, 309 S. Joliet Road, Plainfield, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Moree's name may be made to a charity of donor's choice.

Linda Lee Morgan of Palatine
Services for Linda Lee Morgan, 50, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows.
Born July 31, 1948, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at her home. Interment will be private.
Linda was employed as a cosmetologist.
Survivors includeher son, Mark F. Morgan; parents, David (Patricia) Karam and Dorothy Hart; sister, Karen (Lawrence) Serantoni; and brothers, David P. (Catherine) Karam and Raymond C. Karam.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the educational fund for Mark Morgan.

Karl Mortensen of Villa Park
Services for Karl Mortensen, 29, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, with the Rev. Bob Lane of First Baptist Church in Lombard officiating.
He died suddenly Tuesday, March 16, 1999, and was pronounced dead at Edward Hospital, Naperville. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn.
Mr. Mortensen had been a resident of Villa Park for five years and was formerly of Lombard. He grew up in Lombard, where he attended grade school and junior high school, and was a 1987 graduate of Willowbrook High School. A veteran, Mr. Mortensen had served in the Air Force from 1988 to 1992. He was employed at LaGrange Crane as an apprentice operating engineer and was a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers Union. He was also a member of the Midwest Street Rods.
Surviving are his wife, Terra Mortensen (nee Bockmier); son, Kyle; parents, Victor and Gloria (nee Mack) Mortensen of Glen Ellyn; grandmother, Wilhelmine Mortensen of Addison; mother-in-law, Patricia Bockmier of Glen Ellyn; father-inlaw, John R. Bockmier of Lombard; sisters-in-law, Diana (David) Aubin of Villa Park, Donna (Anthony) Ramirez of Morris, and Doreen (John) Smith of Burr Ridge; brother-in-law, Jack Bockmier of Lombard; grandmother-in-law, Mary Hunt of Lombard; uncles, Frank (Charmaine) Mortensen of Lombard and Hans Willy (Janet) Mortensen of Tennessee; and aunt, Laila (Charles) Potts of Lombard.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Mortensen, and grandfather, the Rev. Hans Mortensen.
Visitation will be from 3 to9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to his son's education would be appreciated.

Arthur A. Niewiardowski Sr. of Elk Grove Village
Prayers for Arthur A. Niewiardowski Sr., 69, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd. (three blocks south of Biesterfield Rd. ), Elk Grove Village. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Queen of the Rosary Church.
Born in Chicago, he died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at the University of Illinois. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
A 59-year resident of Elk Grove Village, he was a veteran of the Navy See Bee's.
Mr. Niewiardowski was the founder of Nevarr Inc. of Elk Grove, a retired electrician and member of I. B. E. W. Local 134 of Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne T. (nee Pietrzak); children, Arthur Jr., Dale and Edwina; sister, Loretta Niewiardowski; and granddaughter, Jacquelyn.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liver Foundation Research, c/o the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Carl E. Price of Zion
Services for Carl E. Price, 36, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at KisselburgWauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Born Dec. 13, 1962, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, March17, 1999, at Sheridan Health Care in Zion. Burial will be in Wauconda Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Carl T. and Alma F. (nee Stapleton) Price of Barrington; sister, Juanita (Todd) Olejniczak of Barrington; niece, Lisa Larson of Barrington; nephews, Anthony, Jonathan and Brandon Olejniczak of Barrington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oral W. and Dorothy I. Price of Naylor, Mo. and Grandville and Zella Mae Stapleton of Beattyville, Ky.; and nephew, Keith Larson of Barrington.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Eloise K. Psota of Arlington Heights
Services for Eloise K. Psota (nee Knop), 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 5, 1924, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be private.
A resident of Arlington Heights for more than 45 years, she was the wife of 55 years of Dr. Frank Psota; mother of John Charles Psota of Wheeling and the late Frank Psota III; sister of Ruth (Nick) Derezotes; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Etha Jewel Scholtz, 62, of Arvada, Colo., formerly of Antioch, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999. Arrangements were made by Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake, (847) 223-8122.

Mildred Siems of Elgin
Funeral services for Mildred Siems, 90, will be held at noon Saturday, at Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.
Born Feb. 12, 1909, in Huntley, the daughter of Charles and Emma Lorenz Ewert, she died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Asta Care Center of Elgin. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Siems was employed by Elgin Watch Factory for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Nan Jean (Jack) Eckholm of Elgin and Vida Rae (John) Ciulik of California; granddaughter, Diana Lange of Elgin; grandsons, Cameron (Mari Ann) Coulson of California and Robert Coulson of Wisconsin; great-granddaughter, Crystal Lange of Elgin; great-grandson, Patrick Cowart of Elgin; niece, Dawn (Gilbert) Larson of Oswego; and nephew, Norman Ewert of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Siems, whom she married in 1945 and who died in1976; seven brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon Saturday, at the funeral chapel.

Oakley R. Thomas of St. Charles
A graveside service for Oakley R. Thomas, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. today, at Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville.
Born Dec. 29, 1919, in Hinckley, Ill., the son of Joel G. and Amy Amelia (nee Hanna) Thomas, he died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at home.
During World War II, Oakley served in the Marines. He had been employed in the maintenance department for the Kane County Court House in Geneva.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his brother, Alvin H. (Emmy) Thomas of Aurora; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lyle, Homer and Loren Thomas.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, St. Charles.

Harold `Duke' Westerman of Elgin
Funeral services for Harold `Duke' Westerman, 89, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elgin.
Born Dec. 27, 1909, in Elgin, he died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Maplewood Care Center. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin.
Mr. Westerman had been employed as a bartender at the Hilltop Tap. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Elgin Moose Lodge #799 and a former member of the Riverside Club. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he had been an usher for many years.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia R. Stash Westerman in 1990.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, with prayers at 4 p.m., at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.
Masses or memorials to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.

Lucial Jen Cheng of St. Charles
Services for Lucial Jen Cheng, 59, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Rev. Peter Wang will officiate.
Born June 27, 1939, in the city of Tai-Hsien, province of Kiang-Su, in China, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Chen, she died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at home. Burial will be in North Cemetery, St. Charles.
Mrs. Cheng graduated from the prestigious National Taiwan University with a bachelors degree in accounting. She did graduate study at the Graduate Commerce Division of the Graduate School, DePaul University. On Aug. 1, 1964, she married Paul Hung-Chaio Cheng in Chicago. She deeply loved God and was the best wife and a mother a family could ever ask for.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Cheng; children, Samuel Cheng of Chicago, Deborah Cheng of Virginia, Elizabeth Cheng of Evanston and MariaCheng of Indiana; and sisters, Ruth Yuan of Massachusetts and Grace Chen of North Carolina.
