Marie A. Munson of Mount Prospect
Prayers for Marie A. Munson (nee Virginelli), 64, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. at Northwest Hwy., Mount Prospect. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Zachary Church.
Born July 5, 1934, in Chicago, she died Monday, March 15, 1999, in Bourbonnais, Ill. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Munson; children, Stephen, Scott (Linda), Stewart (Surena), Robert (Kathleen), Joseph (Tania) and Tiffany Munson; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; mother, Florence Virginelli; and sister, Angela (Martin) Cygnar.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Adeline Platz
Funeral services for Adeline Platz (nee Kokotek), 76, of Redding, Calif., formerly of Skokie, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at All Saints Cemetery Interment Chapel, 700 River Road, Des Plaines.
Born Sept. 15, 1922, in Chicago, she died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at her Redding residence.
A homemaker, she loved gardening and volunteered to help the elderly.
She was the wife of the late Victor Platz; mother of Ronnie Platz of Sacramento, Calif., JoAnn (Jerry) Brandel of Sacramento, Lynn (Joseph) Schmidt of Arlington Heights and Vicki Knuth of Colorado; sister of Norbert (Jeannette) Kokotek; grandmother of nine; and great-grandmother of eight.
Memorials may be madeto the Evans Scholars Foundation, 1 Briar Rd., Golf, IL 60029.

Carl E. Price of Zion
Services for Carl E. Price, 36, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at KisselburgWauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Born Dec. 13, 1962, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, March17, 1999, at Sheridan Health Care in Zion. Burial will be in Wauconda Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Carl T. and Alma F. (nee Stapleton) Price of Barrington; sister, Juanita (Todd) Olejniczak of Barrington; niece, Lisa Larson of Barrington; nephews, Anthony, Jonathan and Brandon Olejniczak of Barrington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oral W. and Dorothy I. Price of Naylor, Mo. and Grandville and Stella Mae Stapleton of Beattyville, Ky.; and nephew, Keith Larson of Barrington.

Eloise K. Psota of Arlington Heights
Services for Eloise K. Psota (nee Knop), 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 5, 1924, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be private.
A resident of Arlington Heights for more than 45 years, she was the wife of 55 years of Dr. Frank Psota; mother of John Charles Psota of Wheeling and the late Frank Psota III; sister of Ruth (Nick) Derezotes of Rolling Meadows; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Thomas John Rogers formerly of Batavia
Funeral services for Thomas John Rogers, 29, most recently of Wake Forrest, N. C., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, Batavia, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating.
Born March 2, 1970, in La Grange, to Donna (nee Wright) Rogers Heisey and Dan Rogers, hePassed away Thursday, March 18, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Garden in Oakbrook Terrace.
Thomas owned and operated Rogers Construction in North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Rogers (nee Shipley) of Wake Forrest; two sons, Joshua and Tyler Rogers of Wake Forrest; mother, Donna (Joe) Heisey of Batavia; father, Dan Rogers of Batavia; two brothers, Steven Rogers of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Kenneth Rogers of Batavia; three sisters, Nancy Kamka of Palatine, Kelly Rogers of Batavia and Dawn Rogers of Batavia; and several aunts and uncles.

Vanita L. Russ of Barrington
Services for Vanita L. Russ, 71, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Willow Creek Church, 67 E. Algonquin Rd., South Barrington, IL 60010.
Born Aug. 24, 1927, she died Friday, March 19, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A member of Willow Creek Church, she is survived by her sons, Jay (Lori) Russ, Mark (Andrea) Russ and Scott (Jeanni) Russ; grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, Carly, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Alex, Jason and Kyle Russ; and sisters, Betty Jo (Ronald) Dull and Peggy Arnold.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; and brothers, Ralph and Alvin Howell.

Kenneth Schank of Wheaton
Services for Kenneth Schank, 54, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at WilliamsKampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church.
He died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
Mr. Schank was a lifelong resident of Wheaton and a business owner in Carol Stream.
He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and AnneSchank; loving brother of Sandra (the late Robert) Bertelsen, Terrence (Bonnie) Schank, Karen (Larry) Emery, Mary Ellyn (Robert) Jamrok, Christine (Michael) Kveton and Brian Schank; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Frances H. Schneck of Algonquin
Memorial services for Frances H. Schneck (nee Ivankovits), 58, formerly of Coplay, Pa., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary. Family and friends will meet from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Born March 31, 1940, in Coplay, she died Friday, March 19, 1999, quietly at her residence.
A homemaker, she was a volunteer for Horizon for the Blind.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Sr. of Algonquin; sons, Gary Jr. (Jeana) of Lancaster, Mass. and Kevin (Erienne) Schneck of Stratford, Conn.; brothers, Edward (Margaret) Ivankovits of Coplay and John (Anita) Ivankovits of Coplay; sisters, Rose Altiero of Allentown, Pa., Margaret (Lawrence) Kish of Bethlehem, Pa. and Emma (Verne) Bray of Allentown; grandchildren, Kylie Schneck of Lancaster; and many loving nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Jewel Scholtz formerly of Grayslake
A memorial service for Jewel Scholtz, 62, of Arvada, Colo., will be held at 4 p.m. today, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Aug. 19, 1936, in Nettleton, Miss., to Elester and Jettie West, she passed away Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at her home. Interment will be private in Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.
A resident of Arvada since 1986, Mrs. Scholtzhad formerly lived in Grayslake for more than 22 years. She retired in 1994 from Martin Marrietta, Inc. of Colorado where she was employed in the engineering department. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Denver, Colo., and aformer member of St. Gilbert's Catholic Church in Grayslake.
She leaves her loving husband, Walter F. Scholtz, whomshe married June 7, 1958, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Antioch; children, Melinda Willen of Grayslake, Beverly (Gary) Greiner of Ingleside, Mary (John) Pawlowski of Bristol, Wis., Carol (Mark) Messer of Ingleside, Fred Scholtz of Denver, and Steven (Rachel) Scholtz of Toma, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Friends of the family may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Marie Schuller of Naperville
Services for Marie Schuller, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at KnoxPresbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville. Rev. James R. Clinton and Rev. Kenneth Lehman will officiate.
Born Sept. 18, 1910, in Austria, she died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
She came to Naperville in 1968 from Chicago. Mrs. Schuller enjoyed crocheting and sewing and was active with the Naperville Senior Citizens Group. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and the Alliance of the Transylvanian Saxons.
Survivors include her daughters, June (late George) Andrae and Elaine (late Dr. Eggert) Giere, both of Naperville; grandchildren, Barbara (Casey) Andrae-Kelly, Nancy Andrae, Gayle Andrae, Gretchen (James) Andrae-Teal and Stephan (Connie) Giere, all of Naperville; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank G.; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville.

John E. Smith of Prospect Heights
A memorial service for John E. Smith, 58, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
Born July 3, 1940, in Danforth, Ill., he died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at home.
John graduated from Illinois State and also attended Western Washington State College in Bellingham, Wash. He taught in Braidwood and Piper City, Ill. and taught math for 27 years at Wheeling High School, where he also served as concessions director, senior class sponsor and Student Counsel advisor. He graded math advanced placement tests for five years at Clemsen University.
John was involved in many volunteer activities. He was a member of local Kiwanis clubs and served in various division and district offices. He served on the board of directors and various committees for Woodhaven Association, Sublette, Ill. He was active at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, including participating in their Stephen Ministry program.
After retiring from Wheeling High School, he did freelance work on math textbooks for Addison Wesley Longman and continued volunteering, serving as PADS site director at Prospect Heights Community Church and First United Methodist Church, as a volunteer driver, taking seniors to medical appointments, as a tutor for the Read to Learn program and doing mission work projects as part of the United Methodist NOMADS.
He is survived by his wife, Carol and daughter, Cynthia; and sisters, Laura Quinn of Del Rey Oaks, Calif. and Margaret Noble of Madison, Wis.
