Naoki Kamijima 15-year resident of Palatine
Prayers for Naoki Kamijima, 48, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. A 10 a.m. Mass will follow at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, at Andersen and Williams Drive, Palatine.
Born Feb. 2, 1951, in Japan, he died Monday,April 5, 1999, in Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
Mr. Kamijima had been a wellrespected business owner inCrystal Lake for many years.
Mr. Kamijima will be especially remembered for his loving and gentle ways. He alwayshad a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He was a very devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Kamijima (nee Gaessler) of Palatine; son, Craig Kamijima and daughter, Erica Kamijima, both of Palatine; and his parents and two sisters, all living in Japan.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
There will be an enormous loss for all who knew and loved Naoki. He will be greatly missed.

Harriet Kierna of Bloomingdale
Services for Harriet Kierna (nee Ficht), 93, a resident of Bloomingdale Pavillion for the past 11 years, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, from Gogolinski-Trofimuk Funeral Home, 1850 N. Wood St. (at Cortland), Chicago, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
Mrs. Kierna was a member of the Polish Alma Mater and the St. Mary of the Angels Rosary Sodality.
She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Kierna; loving mother of Anthony H. (Dorothy) Kierna; dear stepgrandmother of Russell (Ana Marta Vargas) Witthoff and Heather; dear great-stepgrandmother of Eileen Juliet Witthoff; fond sister of the late Clara Lenz and August Ficht; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral chapel.

She was the beloved wife of Arthur J.; devoted mother of Gregory (Rhonda), Richard (Eileen), Pamela (John) Bunker and Suzanne (Edward) Sendelbach; and fond grandmother of 10.

Randall `Randy' Levin of Buffalo Grove
Services for Randall `Randy' Levin, 50, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at The Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd.
(one block north of Old Orchard), Wilmette. Interment will be in Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Levin was a regional sales manager for Wrangler Apparel.
He was the beloved husband and best friend for 27 years of Susie (nee Lerner); loving father of Elissa and Amy; devoted son of Norman and Shirley; dear brother of Linda (the late Lance) Dubois and Debra (Leo) Jardot; cherished son-in-law of Lawrence and Mildred Lerner; fond brother-in-law of Jeffrey Lerner; and caring uncle and friend of many.

Wayne W. Ludtke Sr. of Hoffman Estates
Services for Wayne W. Ludtke Sr., 51, will begin with prayers at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a.m., at St. Hubert Church.
Born March 29, 1948, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at home.
Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
He was the son of Josephine and the late Walter Ludtke; husband of Susan Ludtke (nee Pokuta); father of Wayne (Dawn) Ludtke Jr., Dennis (Nicole) Ludtke and Lori (Jason) Kawell; and grandfather of eight.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Wilbur S. Mayyou of Des Plaines
Services for Wilbur S. Mayyou, 72, also a resident of New Braunfels, Texas, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine.
Born June 17, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, he died Thursday, March 18, 1999. Interment will be in Negaunee County Cemetery.
A Naval veteran of World War II, Mr. Mayyou was employed for 37 years by DuPont.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan (Jim) Hetchler; sons, Byron (Lorrie) Mayyou, William (Janice) Mayyou and Robert (Mary) Mayyou; and grandchildren, Stacy and Jodi Hetchler and Timothy, Gregory, Krista, Jonathan, Brandon, Ashley and Nicholas Mayyou.
He waspreceded in death by his wife, Betty; brother, Norman; mother, Violet Stevenson Mayyou; father, Wilbur Mayyou Sr.; and stepfather, Sigvard Josephson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran's Legacy for Tomorrow Fund.

Charles Stewart McCauley Sr. of Geneva
Funeral Mass for Charles Stewart `Stu' McCauley Sr., 72,will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, with Father Anthony Pantyra officiating.
Born April 11, 1926, in Geneva, the son of Edward and Theresa Moore McCauley, he passedaway Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva.
Mr. McCauley attended Geneva Schools through 8th grade and graduated from Marmion military Academy, Aurora, in 1944. During World War II, he served in the Navy and in 1948, he was united in marriage to Lois Stump. Mr. McCauley was employed at McCauley's Greenhouse in Geneva until 1956 and from 1956 until 1982, he was employed as a carpenter for Glaser and Sons Construction. From 1982 until his retirement in 1988, he worked for the City of Geneva.
Stu was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Geneva American Legion Post #75, Knights of Columbus, Colombian Council of Batavia, Loyal Order of Moose, and was past president of St. Peter Men's Club. He was a former member of the Geneva Park District Board and a 25-year member of the Geneva Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Charles S. (Jill) McCauley Jr., M. D. of Marshfield, Wis.; two daughters, Ann (Ron) Lease, R. N. of Verona, Wis. and Mary (Dan) Herring of Snellville, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward McCauley Jr.; and two sons, John and Mark McCauley.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Yurs Wittenberg Funeral Home, 1771W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva, where a liturgical service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the American Heart Association, or the Arthritis Foundation.

Henry W. Nepermann of Dundee Township
Funeral services for Henry W. Nepermann, 74, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of East Dundee with the Rev. Marc N. Schwichtenberg officiating.
Born in Dundee Township April 22, 1924, the son of John and Esther (nee Kammann) Nepermann, he died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in North Plato Cemetery.
Mr. Nepermann was former owner and operator of Henry's Place in East Dundee. He was also formerly a 28-year employee of Crichton's Supermarket, West Dundee, and a 25-year volunteer with the East Dundee Fire Department.
He was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a former Dundee Rotary Club member.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Berniece (nee Thies) Nepermann, they married Nov. 10, 1948, in Pingree Grove; son, David of Elgin; daughters, Mary (Ronald) Toppel of East Dundee and Debra (Gerald) Hopp of Carpentersville; grandsons, Kevin (Anne) Hopp and Christopher Hopp; great-grandson, Brendan Hopp; brothers, John (Clarice) Nepermann of Elgin and Marcus of Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Saturday, at the church.
Please omit flowers; memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church 2000 Program or the East Dundee Paramedics.

Ruth Eraine Augusta Palese of LaGrange Park
A memorial service for Ruth Eraine Augusta Palese (nee Foley), 84, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, at Kensington and Elm Street, LaGrange. Interment will be private.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Anthony Michael; loving mother of Nancy (Richard) Pottinger, Penny (Gary) Wagner and Richard Michael (the late Karen); dear grandmother of eight; and great-grandmother of four.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the American Diabetes. Association, 30 N. Michigan Ave. Suite 2015, Chicago, IL 6060l2, would be appreciated.

Mae Pepper, 69, of West Dundee, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at her home. Arrangements are incomplete with Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee, (847) 426-3436.

John W. Peterman of Forest Lake for 46 years
Prayers for John W. Peterman, 84, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home,415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church, 11 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
Born July 31, 1914, in Chicago, the son of Stella and John Peterman, he passed away at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
In 1976, Mr. Peterman retired from Chicago Rotoprint Company after completing 45years of service. Mr. Peterman served his country for five years in the Army, achieving the rank of master sergeant.
He was active in both his church and his community, participating in St. Francis de Sales Keenagers and Ministers of Care, Ela Township Seniors, the Meals on Wheels volunteer program, and the Ela Area Library `Books for Shut-ins'program. He always volunteered to bake cakes and bread, whatever the occasion.
He truly enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle, with his senior friends as well as with his family. His passion for flower and vegetable gardening extended from early spring through the late fall.
He leaves his three children, Mike Peterman of Lake Zurich, Donna Peterman of Round Lake Beach and Marla (Frederick) Swiatko of Beach Park; daughter-in-law, Linda (Mike) Peterman of New Braunfels, Texas; and his yellow lab, Sir Butch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Julia, in January 1966; his brother, Robert; and two sisters, Elsie Kucera and Adeline Connors.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
