Ella E. Goebbert of Park Ridge
Services for Ella E. Goebbert, 93, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 260 N. Northwest Highway (at Elm), Park Ridge, IL 60068, where she will lie in state from noon until the time of services.
Born Dec. 17, 1905, in Elk Grove Township, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge.
Burial will be in Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.
She was the loving sister of the late Amanda, Henry and Edward; dear aunt of Janet (Bill) Graff; and fond great-aunt of Rita Steinke, Dona Clardy, Sara Holmstrom and Roger Graff. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.

Clara E. Grimm of Arlington Heights
Services for Clara E. Grimm (nee Gaare), 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Rev. Karl W. Schmidt will officiate.
Born Nov. 29, 1911 in Palatine, she died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at the Lutheran Home and Services for the Aged, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Formerly of Palatine, Mrs. Grimm had been a resident of Arlington Heights for 69 years. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she was part of the St. Peter Ladies Dorcas Aid Society.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward R. Grimm, whom she married Aug. 29, 1931; loving mother of Phillip (Carol) Grimm of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Victor (Kathleen) Grimm of Evanston; dear grandmother of Victor, Lawrence, Matthew, Emily, Colin, Cynthia and Bradley; and fond sister-in-law of Elsie Gaare of Sun City, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, and nine brothers.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church or to the LutheranHome and Services for the Aged.

Edith A. Hennig of Palatine
Services for Edith A. Hennig (nee Augustiniak), 69, a resident of Palatine since 1971, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
Born Sept. 14, 1929, in Dortmund, Germany, she died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Mrs. Hennig was a supervisor for Union Special in Huntley from February 1978 until her retirement in October 1994. She was a member of the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Center, the Rheinischer Verein of Chicago and the Niedersachsen Club.
Surviving are her son, Ruediger (Maria [nee Szymanski] ) Hennig of Crystal Lake; grandson, Andre E. Hennig of Wonder Lake; granddaughter, Angela V. Hennig of Crystal Lake; sisters, Helga of Chicago and Elfrieda of Dortmund; and brothers, Dieter (Christa) of Chicago, Herbert (Eileen) of Chicago and Winfred (Gerlinde) of Dortmund.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Hennig; parents, August and LouiseAugustiniak; brother, Heinz; and sister, Hannelore.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Patricia A. Jackels of Elgin
Services for Patricia A. Jackels, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Jubilee Christian Center, 667 Luda St., Elgin. Rev. Jimmie Roach will officiate.
Born May 4, 1931, in Cicero, the daughter of James P. and Anne M. (nee Novy) Butler, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
She had been employed as an executive secretary and was a member of Jubilee Christian Center.
Survivors include her longtime companion, David Jackels; sons, Daniel Jackson of Elgin, Samuel Jackson of Arizona and John (Jeanne) Jackson of Elgin; daughters, Kathleen (Daniel) Vallo of New Mexico, Ranee (Jimmie) Roach of Michigan and Jennifer Jackson of Rockford; brother, David Butler of Lombard; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Roger Jackson; and sister, Jacqueline Olsen.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. today, at the church.

Kay Ann Knight of Arlington Heights
Memorial services for Kay Ann Knight, 60, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born June 2, 1938, in Chicago, she died Friday, April 23, 1999, at her home.
A member of the P. E. O. Sisterhood, she was the beloved wife of David H. Knight; loving mother of Craig (Janice) Knight, Susan Knight and Cheryl (Tim) Gretz; cherished grandmother of Kyle Matthew Gretz; and beloved daughter of Alice and the late Frank Standfest.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to donor's favorite charity would be appreciated.

Alexander Kornreich of South Elgin
Services for Alexander Kornreich, 88, will be held at 8 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. The Rev. Don Shank will officiate.
Born May 24, 1910, in Chicago, he died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Carrington Care Center, South Elgin. Burial will be private, in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Kornreich had been a resident of Elgin for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren of Elgin and Decalogue #160 in Skokie.
Surviving are his caregivers, Doug and Toni Aldrich of Elgin; and foster nephew, Bruce (Kathy) Brandwine of Cary.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Kornreich.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home, with Masonic services conducted by Lodge 160 at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church for theHand Bell Choir.

Mary N. Laris of Bloomingdale
Services for Mary N. Laris (nee Nicolopulos), 85 (`39'), will begin at 10 a.m. today, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, and continue at 11 a.m. at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, RiverGrove.
Mrs. Laris was the past district governor of the 13th District Daughters of Penelope and the past worthy matron of the Eastern Star. She was also very active in many other clubs and organizations.
She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas D. Laris; loving mother of Peter (Barbara), Cynthia and James (Ramona) Laris; dear sister of Margie, and the late Nick and Zach (Helen); proud grandmother of James (Sara), Maria, Deanna, Jamie and Vanessa (Dan); great-grandmother of Carla and Cody; dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews; and respected friend to many.

Maria E. Lovell of Chicago Heights & Flossmoor
Funeral services for Maria E. Lovell (nee Wengren) will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Agnes Church, 1515 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights.
Born Dec. 16, 1950, in ChicagoHeights, she died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at St. James Hospital and Health Center, Chicago Heights. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Mrs. Lovell was employed as a lab supervisor with Landauer Corporation in Glenwood.
She is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Kristin Lovell and John Lovell, both of Flossmoor; parents, Edward and Ann (nee Vittori) Wengren of Chicago Heights; sister, Katherine (James) Walker of Grayslake; and brother, Edward (Nancy) Wengren of Downers Grove.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Hirsch Funeral Home, West End Chapel, at Lincoln Hwy. and Otto Blvd., Chicago Heights.

Thomas J. McBride formerly of St. Charles
Funeral Mass for Thomas J. McBride, 26, most recently of Oak Park, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Patrick Church, St. Charles.
Born Aug. 24, 1972, in Arlington Heights, he died Monday, April 26, 1999, in Chicago. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Thomas was a 1990 graduate of St. Charles High School and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Mary Ellen (nee Spellmire) McBride of St. Charles; two brothers, Robert (Kathryn) of Winfield and Michael of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Catherine (James) Benouis of Austin, Texas and Mary (Patrick) Gerkin of White Fish Bay, Wis.; maternal grandmother, Catherine Spellmire of Oakbrook Terrace; and a nephew, Michael Patrick Gerkin.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Burton McBride and Juanita Truttier and his maternal grandfather, George W. Spellmire.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles, with a liturgical wake service at 7 p.m.

He was the loving father of Billy, Rebecca, Carey and Bobby; devotedson of Athena; fiance of Pamela Sparks; and fond brother of Judith Brewer.

Richard `Dick' L. Peterson of Elgin
Funeral services for Richard `Dick' L. Peterson, 75, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Russo and the Rev. Msgr. John Mitchell will officiate.
Born March 23, 1924, in Elgin, the son of Clarence W. and Karin L. Peterson, he passed away Monday, April 26, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Gilberts.
Dick had graduated from Elgin High School in 1942. A veteran, he served in the Army Air Force as a B29 pilot. Dick attended General Motors Institute (Kettering University) in Flint, Mich., where he was a member of Alpha Tau Honorary Engineering Society. He was employed by Automation Associates in Arlington Heights, and previously, by Automatism in Elk Grove Village. He was also an Eagle Scout, and a member of the Big Timber Dancers and St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (nee Meagher), whom he married Oct. 27, 1945; three children, Susan (Mac) Scantlin of Barrington, Rita Brooks of Geneva and Thomas Peterson of Lexington, Ky.; five grandchildren, Amy, Jenny, Katie, Sarah and Alex; two great-grandchildren, Sara and Anna; his mother, Karin of Elgin; and his brother, Charles Peterson of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence W. Peterson and brother, Robert W. Peterson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, withprayers recited at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Thomas More Catholic Church Building Fund; a charity of donor's choice; or Masses, would be appreciated.
