Walk Jr., 20, of Neoga, passed away Sunday afternoon (April 1, 2001) in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Death was due to injuries he received in an automobile accident Tuesday, March 27.
Arrangements are incomplete due to organ donations. Swengel-O Dell Funeral Home, Neoga, is in charge of arrangements.

DECATUR -- Mary C. Pumphrey, 72, of Decatur died 10:38 a.m. Tuesday (April 17, 2001) in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Glad Tidings Assembly of God with visitation one hour before services.
Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton.

Mrs. Pumphrey was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Rochester, the daughter of Jesse and Gladys Fogel Beck.
She was the widow of Gerald Pumphrey, who died in 1980.
She had devoted most of her life to caring for young children and grandchildren of many families in the Decatur area.
She was a friend of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.
She was also a friend of Bill W.
Surviving are a niece, Peggy Blunt and husband Dan of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Helen Fry of Decatur, granddaughter, Mary Ann Fry of Decatur; grandson, Terry Fry of Decatur; brothers, Robert Beck Sr. and wife Mary Lou of Decatur, John D. Beck and wife Pauline of Mesa, Ariz.; Harry Beck; three great-grandchildren; several adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Everett "Hollywood" Fry; one brother; two sisters and one great-grandchild.

DECATUR -- Leslie "Les" William Schwab, 72, of Decatur died 1:22 p.m. Monday (April 16, 2001) in Decatur Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta.

Les was born May 29, 1928, in Decatur, the son of Chester and Hazel Branson Schwab.
He was the former owner of Schwab's Rent-All and retired in March 2000 from the YMCA.
He was a member of Peoples Church of God.
He was also a member of the local Parkinson's Foundation.
He enjoyed listening to big band and country music.
Les was a Cardinal baseball fan.
He married Dorothy Steffen on Sept. 3, 1960, in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Donna Schwab of West Peoria; twin brother, Leonard R. Schwab and wife Bessie of Decatur; brother, Gene W. Schwab and wife LaVonne of Ontario, Canada; sister, Imogene Reed of Springfield; faithful companion, Bart, his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Schwab; one brother and one sister.
