PANA - Stevanna Terry, 96, of Pana died 6:55 a.m. Sunday (March 31, 2002) in her home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, with the Revs. Clyde Kallal and Clifford Sanders officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Memorials: New Beginnings Church, Pana.
Mrs. Terry was born April 17, 1905, in Lakewood, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Della Milligan Bland. She was a graduate of Pana Township High School and had lived in Pana her entire life. She was a homemaker and was actively involved in operating K & T Garage with her husband from 1950 until 1964. She was a founding member of Assembly of God Church in Pana. She married Morris L. "Pappy" Terry Oct. 15, 1922, in Taylorville. They were married by James H. Forrester. He preceded her in death Aug. 22, 1986.
Surviving are son, Donald Terry and wife Margaret of Pana; daughter Lois Evelyn Eiler and husband William "Ted" of Pana; sisters, Juanita Tetley of Pana; Naomi Reed of Pana; caretaker, Katie Cox; grandchildren; Lisa Lippert, Valerie Mathis, James Eiler, Wanda Donnelly and Stevanna "Nan" Turner; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband; one great-grandchild; brothers, Austin Bland and Raymond Bland; and sister, Lois Bland.

DECATUR -- Eva Marguerite Buck Hiler, 93, of Springfield died Tuesday (June 4, 2002) in Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Ellinger & Kunz Funeral Home, Springfield. Visitation will be one hour before services. Friends and family are invited to West Side Christian Church to celebrate Eva's life with lunch following services. Memorials: West Side Christian Church, Springfield, or donor's choice.
Eva was born Oct. 8, 1908, in Springfield, the daughter of Daniel R. and Lela Meredith Buck. She attended Springfield schools, graduating from Springfield High School. She worked at Weaver Mfg. and CIPS prior to her marriage. Eva sold wholesale and retail produce and poultry for a number of years. Eva was a lifelong member of West Side Christian Church and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Springfield Chapter, for more than 30 years. She was a past member of the Springfield Women's Club. Writing poetry was a favorite hobby. Eva married John P. Hiler on Sept. 13, 1935. He preceded her in death March 21, 1992.
Surviving are her sons, John P. (Judy) Hiler II, Thomas R. (Claudette) Hiler and Daniel W. Hiler, all of Springfield; daughter, Joan Frances Hiler Lewis (Terry Baylis) of Decatur; granddaughters, Joyce and Jill Hiler, both of Springfield; Jackie Premak of Bloomingdale; Janet Butler and Leigh Hiler, both of Chatham; Jean Beatty of Mapleton; Julie McMillan of Waverly; Elizabeth Hiler of Chicago; great-grandchildren, J.J. and Alissa McMillan; Tyler, Max and Sam Premak; Brittany and Brandon Beatty; Ryan and Audrey Butler; sisters, Wilma MacDonald of Edwardsville; Thelma Davenport of Springfield; brother, Daniel Buck of Boston; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Leola Takach of Springfield; and friend and roommate, Alberta Bertelli.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Robert and J. Roger Buck; and sisters, Eleanor Espenchied, Virginia Davis and Dorothy Adams.

Mrs. Fair was born Sept. 3, 1918, in Maroa, the daughter of Ray Robert and Ruth E. Mayall Cramer. She was a homemaker and member of Grace United Methodist Church. She married Donald R. Fair on June 29, 1942, in Montgomery, Ala. He preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1999.
Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Erdman and husband Gerald of Decatur; three stepgrandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.

DECATUR -- Bessie C. Prince, 85, of Decatur died 3:38 p.m. Wednesday (June 5, 2002) in her home.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Memorials: Camp Warren Scholarship Fund, c/o Camp Warren, or Peoples Church of God.
Bessie was born Feb. 28, 1917, in Milan, the daughter of Samuel and Ida Ball Strohl. She was a member of Peoples Church of God, a Sunday school teacher for 30 years and retired in 2001. She married Paul F. Prince on Dec. 25, 1936, in Decatur.
Surviving are her daughters, Shirley McHaney, Marilyn Durbin and Phyllis Wilber and husband Richard, all of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, one great-grandchild, three brothers and one sister.
