DALTON CITY -- Lucile Ruth Merold Bobbit, 91, of Dalton City died 11:20 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) in her home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in United Methodist Church, Dalton City. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Memorials: United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bobbit was born July 26, 1911, in Foosland, the daughter of John and Lena Rahn Merold. She was a member of United Methodist Church. She married James E. Bobbit on Nov. 2, 1929, in Decatur. He preceded her in death July 15, 1990.
Surviving are her sons, Terry Bobbit and wife Ruth of Dalton City; Lyle "Tony" Bobbit and wife Laura of Wheaton; grandchildren, Tamara Stivers and husband Wayne of Decatur; Tanya Huddleston and husband David of Dalton City; Command Sgt. Maj. Todd Bobbit and wife Bobbi of the
Army, stationed in Germany; Kevin Bobbit and wife Nancy of Palatine; Melissa Krause and husband Steve of Sugar Grove; Joan Hudson and husband Warrant Officer Rick stationed with the Navy in Millington, Tenn.; Alexandra Bobbit and Andrius Bobbit, both of Wheaton; great-grandchildren, Scott Taylor; Michelle Grounds; Brian Stivers; Holly and Todd Bobbit Jr.; Taylor Krause; J.T., Chad, Cody and Jesse Bobbit; three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, five brothers and three sisters.

CERRO GORDO -- Helen Corrinne Nichols McIntosh Roady, 85, of Cerro Gordo died 1:50 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Cerro Gordo, with visitation 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials: Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church or Cerro Gordo Ambulance Service.
Helen was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Moweaqua, the daughter of Marshel and Mildred Marshall Nichols. She was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church and worked as a bus driver for Cerro Gordo School District 100 for 19 years. She married Robert McIntosh. He preceded her in death in 1958. She then married Otis Roady on Aug. 30, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Surviving are her children, John Marshel McIntosh and wife Esther of Georgia; Joanne Weaver and husband Gene of Cerro Gordo; Rhonda Komnick and husband Jerry of Clinton; Charles Roady and wife Barbara of Decatur; LaVetia Scheibly of Fairfield, Calif.; Darrell Roady and wife Mildred of Fort Worth, Texas; Melvin Roady and wife Geneva of Decatur; brothers, Morris Nichols and wife Doris of Findlay; Lloyd Nichols and wife Beulah of Butler; sisters, Norma Newcome of Moweaqua; Betty West of Nokomis; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert L. McIntosh; brothers, Jr. Nichols and Keith Nichols; and sister, Gertrude Cole.

John was born March 8, 1927, in Oakley, the son of Ernest and Zelda White Hector. He retired from Wabash Railroad after 44 1/2 years of service and served his country in the Navy during World War II. He had served as president of Hopes Unlimited. John loved to bowl and enjoyed
hunting and woodworking. He married Elizabeth A. "Betty" Groom on Feb. 15, 1948, in Roseville, Mich.
Surviving are his wife; son, David Hector and wife Phyllis of Decatur; daughters, Cathy Hector and Kim Hector, both of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Pitchford was born April 15, 1926, in Decatur, the daughter of Homer and Lola Grider Nihiser. She was a homemaker and a member of Summit Avenue Baptist Church. She was a foster parent to many. She married Charles Pitchford in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1944.
Surviving are her daughter, Lola Sue Patrick Eads of Decatur; granddaughters, Ashlie N. Williams, at home; Andrea S. Liming of Decatur; great-grandson, Malik A. Liming of Decatur; brothers, Junior Nihiser and Robert Nihiser and wife Bev of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Sharon Liming and one infant; one brother; and one sister.
