Wallis
DECATUR -- Ruth Lorraine Wallis, 94, of Decatur died 8:23 a.m. Wednesday (March 5, 2003) in Lincoln Manor North.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Union Cemetery, Oreana, with visitation one hour before services in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wallis was born Nov. 30, 1908, in Decatur, the daughter of Albert F. Reed and Bertha E. Carothers Reed. She was a homemaker. She married Curtis Wallis Sr. in 1926. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Surviving are her son, Stanley and wife Janie of Warrensburg; daughter, Sally Hyatt and husband Billie of Vinemont, Ala.; grandchildren, Mary Buis and husband Roger; Linda Adcock and husband Brent; Tim Wallis and wife Carla; Tony Wallis; Tawnya Jackson and husband Tony; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son, Curtis.
Williams
DECATUR -- Samuel James Williams, 60, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Decatur, died Feb. 4, 2003 in his home in Minneapolis.
No services are planned. His body was donated to the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Williams was born Sept. 8, 1942, to Elvin and Mary Williams. He was a 1960 graduate of MacArthur High School and served two tours with the Navy.
Surviving are his children and sister, Sue (Terry) Davis of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

ARCOLA -- Herman Chumbley, 75, of Arcola died 7:27 p.m. Tuesday (March 4, 2003) in his home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, with the Rev. Robert C. Clark officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before services. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Memorials: Lincolnland Hospice or American Lung Association.
Mr. Chumbley was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Arcola, the son of Charles and Ida Florence Hoback Chumbley. He worked for Pennsylvania Conrail as a track crew supervisor. He was a veteran of the
Korean War, serving in the
Army. He married Louise Bogardus on July 27, 1948, in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Surviving are his wife; son, Robert Chumbley of Jonesboro, Ark.; daughters, Mary Madlem of Arcola; Deborah Hite of Henderson, Nev.; Nancy Knearem of Hindsboro; sisters, Midlred Alexander of Arcola; Marjorie Baker of Carmi; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two siters.

WINDSOR -- Richard L. "Dick" Reynolds Sr., 64, of Windsor passed away 4:06 p.m. Tuesday (March 4, 2003) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor, with the Rev. Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with 8 p.m. Masonic rites. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Memorials: Windsor Fire Deptartment.
Mr. Reynolds was born March 26, 1938,in Moultrie County, the son of Edward and Elaine Sims. He was adopted by Alva and Bessie Wilson Reynolds. He was a member of Windsor Fire Department and Windsor Masonic Lodge 322. He served as mayor and councilman for the city of Windsor and as president of the Windsor Picnic Association. He retired from Imperial Bondware, Shelbyville, in February 2002. He married Betty Hobbs on March 26, 1987, in Windsor.
Surviving are his wife; son, Richard L. Reynolds Jr. and wife Dana of Windsor; stepdaughter, Donna Schenkel and husband Phil of Decatur; stepgrandson, John Schenkel and wife Suzie of Decatur; stepgranddaughter, Cindy Eybel and husband Brian of Decatur; great-stepgrandchildren, Jeffery and Grant Eybel and Kyle and Dylan Schenkel; sister, Kay Langsfield of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents and adopted parents.

MOUNT PULASKI -- Jule L. Russo, infant daughter of Louis V. and Miranda Aughenbaugh of Mount Pulaski, died 12:10 p.m. Monday (March 3, 2003) in Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Visitation will be two hours before services. Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski. Memorials: Jule Russo Memorial Fund.
Jule was born Nov. 14, 2002, in Lincoln.
