Lizabeth Sue Dosmann, 2 days, of Lakeville, passed away at 6: 40 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2008
at the Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Lizzy was born at 10: 57 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16 to
her proud parents, Michael J. and Vicki Sue (Maze) Dosmann.
Lizabeth is also survived by; maternal grandparents, Rick and Sue Maze of Plymouth; paternal
grandparents, Howard and Pam Dosmann of North Liberty; maternal great-grandparents, Fred
and Ruby Werner of Fruitland Park, Fla., Betty Engel of Plymouth, and Chuck and Mary Engel of
Ohio; paternal great grandparents, Phyllis Ramsbey of North Liberty and Ellen Dosmann of
South Bend; three aunts: Lindsey Maze of Plymouth, Tara and Gary Brown of North Liberty, and
Stephanie Dosmann of North Liberty; and one uncle, Kevin Dosmann of North Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at the Palmer Funeral HomeGuisinger
Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Rev. Tim Davis will officiate. Graveside
services and burial will follow. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on
Tuesday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend.
Contributions in memory of Lizabeth Sue Dosmann may be donated to Riley Hospital for
Children, 50 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204, Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, 435
Limestone, Indianapolis, IN 46202 or to the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Memorial
Hospital, 615 N. Michigan, South Bend, IN 46601.

Carl H. Heiser
HAINES CITY, Fla. — Carl H. Heiser, 85, of Haines City, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 19.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Heiser of Haines City, Fla.; daughters: Janet (Roger) Kruk of
Granger and Joan (Lance) Whitely of Laytonville, Calif.; sons: William (Pam) Heiser of Hillsboro,
Ore., Robert Heiser of Chesterfield, Mo. And Bruce (Leslie) Heiser of St. Charles, Mo.; nine
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver.
Funeral services are Friday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Burr Oak cemetery.

Robert M. Moore
ROCHESTER — Robert M. Moore, 78, of Rochester, died Saturday, Jan. 19.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Moore of Rochester.
Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. At the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver.
Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 26 at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside rites by
the VFW American Legion. Burial will be at the Leiters Ford IOOF cemetery.

Keith D. Ash
PLYMOUTH — Keith D. Ash, 81, of Plymouth, died Sunday, Jan. 20 at Saint Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Plymouth.
He is survived by daughters: Sandra L. (Matt) Lough of Culver, Toni Shinabarger of Goshen and
Barbara Ash of Okeechobee, Fla.; son, Dion K. Ash of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and
sister, Alma Jean and Bill Davis of North Judson.
Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 23 after 7 a.m. at the
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth, with military rites given by the Plymouth
American Legion Post #27.
Memorials may be made to the Plymouth Church of the Brethren.

Cameron M. Babcock
PLYMOUTH – Lance Cpl. Cameron M. Babcock, USMC, a lifetime Plymouth resident, died from
an accidental shooting in his barracks of the 1st Marine Division at the Twentynine Palms Marine
Base, California, on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008.
He was 19-years and 10-months old.
He will be remembered by his family and friends as a friendly young man with an incredible
personality and a particular talent for music. He always gave his best and led the way.
Cameron was born in Plymouth, on March 3, 1988, the son of Jeffery A. and Ann M. Smith Babcock.
He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 2006. He played the trumpet in the
Big Red Marching Band and was a member of the PHS Advanced Jazz Band that competed at
the State Jazz Festival in LaPorte in 2005. He was also a member of the Wind Ensemble,
comprised of some of the school’s top music students.
As an eighth grader he went to the State Swim meets with the Plymouth Swim Club.
Cameron had told his family and friends that he always wanted to serve his country as a United
States Marine.
He enlisted in the Marine Corps on June 20, 2006, and was meritoriously promoted to Private
First Class at graduation from Boot Camp. He was proud to be a Marine, serving as a rifleman
in the Infantry.
Attached to Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Cameron
had served a tour of combat duty in Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom. He was most recently
home in Plymouth over the Christmas holidays.
He was scheduled to deploy to OIF with Kilo 3/7 in the winter of 2008.
Lance Corporal Babcock earned the following awards during his 19 months of service: National
Defense Service Medal: Iraqi Campaign Medal: Global War on Terrorism Service Medal:
Combat Action Ribbon: Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Certificate of Commendation.
Cameron loved music, especially rock and roll. He played guitar and enjoyed the outdoors, fourwheeling
and being with his family and friends.
He attended the Plymouth Baptist Church.
Cameron is survived by his parents, three sisters and a brother. They are Kailey, Abigail, Hope
and Samuel Babcock, all of Plymouth.
His maternal grandparents, Mike and Anna Smith and maternal grandmother, Judy Norton, and
his paternal grandparents, Roger and Carrolyne Babcock, all of Plymouth, also survive his death.
An aunt, Cindy and Steve Odiorne, two uncles, David Smith and Jerry and Ginger Smith, all of
Plymouth, survive as well, together with cousins Ben and Lauren Smith and Joel Salazar.
Friends are invited to share memories of Cameron with his family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday,
Jan. 28, 2008, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, and
one hour prior to the services on Tuesday, at the Plymouth Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held in the Plymouth Baptist Church, 11345 9A Rd., on Tuesday, Jan.
29, 2008, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Douglas Jividen, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth, with full military honors provided by the United
States Marine Corps.
Memorial gifts in Cameron’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of
his grandmother, Anna Smith.

Elizabeth Chupp
MILFORD — Elizabeth Chupp, 84, of Milford, died Jan. 20 at her home.
She is survived by two brothers: William (Mary) Chupp of Bremen and Edward (Alta) Chupp of
Nappanee; two sisters: Lydia Hochstetler and Edna Schwartz of Nappanee and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held at 10: 30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at the Lavern Schwartz residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 9: 30 a.m. at the Schwartz home, located at
10485W 1350 N with burial to follow at the Weldy cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made through Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.

Stanley O. Getz
BREMEN — Stanley O. Getz, 86, of Bremen, died at 7: 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20 at Bremen Health Care Center.
He is survived by a son, Stephen M. Getz of Bremen; daughter, Elizabeth (Mike) Getz-Capron of
Bremen; brother, RueDee Marker of Mesa, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral
services are Thursday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ in Wakarusa.
Burial will be at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Zion United Church of Christ in Wakarusa and/or Bremen Health Care Center.

Harold W. Klemz
KNOX — Harold W. Klemz, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 in his home.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters: Becky Volaski of Lafayette, Margaret (Les) Keiser
and Jennifer (Jim) Landrum, all of Knox; sons: David (Lisa) of Pataskala, Ohio and John (Misty)
of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Edith Tomlinson of Hebron.
There will be no services or visitation.
Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Starke County Library, 152 W. Culver Rd., Knox, IN 46534.

Loren F., Sr. Bules
PLYMOUTH — Loren F. Bules, Sr., a 33 year resident of 410 S. 6th. St., Plymouth, died at 8: 35
p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, in the Veterans Administration Northern Indiana Health Care
System in Marion, Ind.
Loren, a Marshall County area resident most of his lifetime had been in failing health for the past
several years. He was 69 years old.
Born in Warsaw on June 28, 1938, Loren was the son of Jacob M. and Mary E. (Joyce) Bules.
He graduated from Etna Green High School.
He served his country in the United States Navy from June of 1955 until June of 1959.
On July 22, 1961, in Plymouth, Loren and Janet C. Bottorff were married . Janet died on Feb. 9, 2007.
A disabled veteran, Loren worked for Ben Colvin Plumbing and the Big Blue Store in Plymouth.
He liked to garden and to feed the deer and birds. He enjoyed spending time with his family and
volunteered for community activities. He helped with building the children’s playground at
Centennial Park and had worked with the river clean-up project.
He was a member of the D.A.V. and the V.F.W. Post 1162 and the American Legion Post 27.
Loren is survived by two daughters and three sons. His daughters are Debra D. Hatter and Hope
C. (Gregory) Miller, both of Plymouth. His sons are Loren F. and Dawn Bules, Mishawaka:
Timothy A. (Kristen) Bules, Plymouth, and Andy L. Bules, Tampa, Fla.
Two brothers, Carl (Dolly) Bules of Florida and Verlen (Mary Ann) Bules, and a sister, Maxine
(Cecil) Binkley, all of Etna Green, also survive.
Thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive as well.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, four brothers: Clarence, George, Lewis
and John Bules and two sisters: Madalene Cartwright and Hazel Pascoff.
Friends are invited to share memories of Loren with his family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday,
Jan. 24, and after 7 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N.
Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by the V.A. Chaplain, will be held in the funeral home on Friday, Jan.
25, at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth with military honors by members of the
American Legion Post and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Memorial gifts in Loren’s name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Richard H. Martin
SEBRING, Fla. — Richard H. Martin, 96, of Sebring, Fla. (formerly of Gobles, Mich.), passed
away Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, Fla. Mr. Martin was born
Dec. 31, 1911 in Macy, the son of Frank and Freda (Zartman) Martin. He resided in the
Kalamazoo-Gobles, Mich. area from 1937. He was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Merson
Church and retired from Clarage Fan (Zurn Ind.) in 1976.
Surviving are three sisters: Ann (Ed) O'Blenis of Sebring, Fla., Mary (Robert) Adams of Sebring,
Fla. And Marcella (Irwin) Fender of Independence, Mo.; three brothers: Keith Martin of South
Bend, Glen (Bonnie) Martin of Plymouth and Cecil Martin of Plymouth; four sisters-in-law:
Dorothy Martin of Walkerton, Deveda Martin of Sebring, Fla., Wilma Martin of Plymouth and
Agnes Martin of Plymouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1991; five brothers: Howard, Homer, Edwin, John
and Harold; and one sister, Helen.
The family will meet friends Monday, Janu. 28, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at D. L. Miller
Funeral Home, Gobles, Mich., where funeral services will be held
at 1 p.m., Pastor Don Miller officiating. Interment Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Joan Marie Miller
PLYMOUTH – At home in the company of her loving family, Joan Marie Miller, 14469 Crest
Lane, Plymouth, died of natural causes at 10: 55 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008.
Always smiling and upbeat, she will be missed by her family and her many friends.
Family always came first. She adored her 12 grandchildren who called her “Mama.” She was
simply Joanie to her friends.
Joanie was born on Nov. 18, 1945, in Binghamton, N.Y., the daughter of John J. and Jeanne
Paula Hirten Skahill.
A graduate of Arlington Heights High School with the class of 1964, Joanie attended both
Vincennes University, where she met Larry, and Eastern Illinois University.
On Sept. 23, 1967, she and Lawrence “Larry” Miller were married in Arlington Heights, Ill.
They resided in Culver from 1967 to 1975 and then moved to Plymouth. Joanie worked as an
aide in the Plymouth School Corporation for 20 years, retiring in 2005.
Known as an excellent and enthusiastic golfer, Joanie loved the game and was very good at it,
playing with the Plymouth Country Club ladies 18-hole and the couples’ Wednesday evening outings.
You could always count on Joanie to cheer on the less-accomplished players with a “Great Shot!
She and her husband enjoyed dancing and traveling to their Islands. Also, for many years they
walked together and you may have seen them in the early morning hours walking along
Overmyer Drive.
She liked to fish, hike and camp-out. She had a “green thumb” and loved her gardens. It was her
daily chore counting how many frogs were sunbathing on any given day.
In addition to Larry, her loving husband of 40 years, Joanie is survived by their son and three
daughters. They are; Christopher Miller, Plymouth: Carrie (Charles) Tharp, Plymouth: Theresa
(Tia) and her husband, John, Pacilio, Carmel; and Erin (Andy) Metsker, Plymouth.
Robert Listenberger, Plymouth, a son-in-law, survives as well, together with a sister and brother-in-law
in Chico, Calif., Judy Katz-Engelbert and Phil Engelbert and two brothers: John (Pricilla)
Skahill, Rotonda West, Fla., and Jim Skahill, Belleir, Bluff, Fla.
Joanie’s beloved granddaughters are: Sidney, Emily and Celia Listenberger: Taylor, Kaitlyn,
Sophia and Ella Pacilio and Allison Tharp. Her cherished grandsons are: Garrett and Morgan
Tharp, Jack Pacilio and Grady Metsker.
Joanie was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Cameron Scott Miller.
A celebration of Joan Marie Miller’s life will be held on Friday, Jan. 25 at the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, where family will greet friends and share
memories from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Friday evening in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 613 N. Center St.,
Plymouth, where she was a member, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. The Rev. Fathers Timothy
Hirten and William J. Kummer, pastor of the church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, Joanie has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael’s
School, the Marshall County Hospice and Palliative Care or a charity of the donor’s choice.
