Keith D. Cook, 71, North Manchester, IN died at 2: 41 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. He was born in Wells County, IN to Chester J. & Mabel (Hinkle) Cook. On August 31, 1963 he married Patsy J. Michael. She died June 21, 2002. He was a lifetime farmer and had worked at Manchester Foundry and later at Majestic Co., Huntington, IN where he retired in 1999 after 35 years. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union and a 1955 graduate of Chester High School. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Hendershott, Bristol, IN and three grandchildren. DR. HOWARD LIEBENGOOD, DVM, 92, SILVER LAKE, IN
Dr. Howard Liebengood, DVM, 92, of Silver Lake, IN died at 4: 00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008 in his residence. He was born on July 29, 1915 in Fairbury, IL to Peter & Elma (Shannon) Liebengood. On July 6, 1939 he married Ruth Scholer. She died October 28, 1949. On November 11, 1967 he married Helen Herber Glaze. She survives. One son, Howard Liebengood died January 13, 2005. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Deanna Liebengood, Vienna, VA. Three grandchildren, Howard Liebengood, John (London) Liebengood and Anne (Adam) Liebengood-Winters, all of Vienna, VA. One step son, Robert W. (Gail) Glaze, Morgantown, IN and a step daughter, Mrs. Robert (Tommye) Beavers, Muncie, IN. Two step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren also survive. One brother and one sister are deceased. Dr. Liebengood grew up in Kentland, IN and graduated from high school there in 1933. He played football during his freshman year at Indiana University where he completed some pre-veterinary requirements and then transferred to Kansas State University in 1935. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 1939 from Kansas State University. He was co-founder and charter member of the Michiana Veterinary Association. From 1945 - 1965 he operated a livestock auction facility and veterinary clinic in Plymouth, IN. Moving to Silver Lake in 1967, he opertaed a practice limited to preparing and certifying cattle for interstate and international shipment. Dr. Liebengood established a memorial fund at Kansas State University to help veterinary students, and has also established memorial funds with the Community Foundation of Wabash County which awards annually, several scholaships to Warsaw Community High School seniors. GEORGIADEE I. CLARK, 89, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Georgiadee I. Clark, 89, North Manchester, IN died at 12: 01 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, IN. She was born on October 10, 1918 in North Manchester to Roy & Pauline (Eby) Stucker. She married Earl P. Clark on January 27, 1936. He died July 31, 1983. Surviving are one son, Reginald Clark, North Manchester, five sisters; Charlene Walters, Mrs. Brian (Dorene) Smith, and Lova Ward, all of North Manchester. Mrs. Thomas (Nadine) Sherer, South Whiltey and Oznola McCullough, Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. One son, one brother and two sisters are deceased. Hope R. Enyeart, 34, North Manchester, IN died at 2: 00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 in her residence. She was born April 17, 1974 in Wabash, IN to Gary & Bonnie (Bradley) Enyeart. Hope was a 1992 Manchester High School Graduate and attended Manchester College. She is survived by her parents, Gary & Bonnie Enyeart, North Manchester, IN; a son, Finnegan Sincroft, North Manchester, IN; and a sister, Jamie (Brad) Good, Columbia City, IN. LORRAINE BROWN, 77, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Lorriane Brown, 77, North Manchester, IN died at 2: 35 a.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008 in Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN. She was born in Sterling, Illinois on July 26, 1930 to Mark & Winnie (Conners) Reitzel. On March 19, 1950 she married William D. Brown. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Gregg (Debbie) Brown, Sidney, IN. Two daughters, Colleen Brown, North Manchester, IN and Mrs. Scott (Lorry) Garber, Claypool, IN. Five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. One grandchild, three brothers and one sister are deceased. Lorraine retired in 1995 after 23 years as a dietary manager at Timbercrest Senior Living Community. After retirement she operated Winnie's Country Cafe. She was a certified whitefaced brethren clown, and went by the name of "Shampoo". She and her husband portrayed Santa & Mrs. Claus for various groups and organizations. She was born September 13, 1940 in Plymouth, IN to Virgil E. & Mabel I. (Kale) Long. She graduated in 1958 from Rochester High School, Rochester, IN. In 1961 she married Jesse Billingsley. He died October 2003. Mary was a homemaker and member of the Women of the Moose #866, North Manchester, IN. Ruth W. Beachler, 72, North Manchester, IN died at 8: 18 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 in her residence. She was born October 18, 1935 in Lafayette, IN to John J. & Anna M. (Yoder) Epp.. On May 3, 1953 she married Harlon Beachler. He died February 26, 2001. Ruth was a homemaker and member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Surviviors include two sons, Lamoine (Marcia) Beachler, Claypool, IN and Scott (Charlene) Beachler, New Catle, WY. One brother, Morris Epp, Laketon, IN and a sister, Hilda Metzger, North Manchester. BONITA M. 'BONNIE' WEIMANN, 101, FORMERLY OF LAKETON, IN
Bonita M. "Bonnie" Weimann, 101, Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, IN and formerly of Laketon, IN died at 8: 25 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, IN. She was born February 22, 1907 in Gilman, IL to George "Frank" & Gertrude (Keller) Snyder. In June of 1929, at Kentland, IN. she married Walter W. "Red" Weimann. He died December 9, 1954. Also preceding her in death were her parents, stepfather, Bernhardt "Ben" Beyer, and a son Robert G. Weimann. Surviving are four grandchildren, Randy (Mary Jo) Weimann, Steve Weimann both of North Manchester, IN. Jeff (Koleen) Weimann, Roann, IN and Mike (Marcy) Weimann, North Platt, NE. Seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Bonnie graduated from Gilman (IL) Community High School in 1925. A Laketon resident since 1933, she retired in 1976 as postmaster of the Laketon Post Office after 23 years service. She was a member of the North Manchester United Methodist Church and a 55 year member of the Laketon American Legion Auxiliary. Very benevolent, she gave to many charities. DORIS I. NICCUM, 85, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Doris I. Niccum, 85, North Manchester, IN died at 7: 30 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1922 in Wabash County, IN to Curtis Eldo & Emma Viola (Reiff) Cripe. On January 1, 1942 she married Walter L. Niccum. Doris was a homemaker and worked for 3 years at P.N. Hirsch, 3 years at Heckman Bindery and retired from working in food service at Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, IN after 24 years of service. She graduated from Chester High School in 1941. She was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren, Chester Charmers Home Extension Club, Mallard Camping Club and was a member and former president of the Ladies Aid at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren. An extensive traveler and avid gardner, she loved her grandchildren, the outdoors, fishing and camping. She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Niccum, North Manchester, IN; three sons, Paul D. (Jo Lynn) Niccum, North Manchester, IN, Thomas J. (Vicki) Niccum, North Manchester, IN and Roger D. (Diane) Niccum, Warsaw, IN; one brother, Quentin Cripe, San Jose, CA; one sister, Gladys Price, Scottsdale, AZ; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Ralph W. Miller, 87, North Manchester, IN died Monday, June 16, 2008 at 10: 00 p.m. in his residence. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 4, 1921 to Silas F. and Nettie E. (James) Miller. On November 19, 1944 he married E. Pauline Fingerle. She survives. He was a member of Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN. Ralph worked at Cyclone Mfg., Urbana, IN for 23 years, retiring in 1986. He then worked as a plumber helper at Manchester College, North Manchester, IN from 1988-2006. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, William C. (Marsha) Miller, North Manchester, IN; one daughter, Deanna F. Newton, Warsaw, IN; one sister-in-law, Betty Miller, Fort Wayne, IN; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. One son, Robert W. MIKE MINDALA, 88, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Mike Mindala, 88, North Manchester, IN died at 2: 45 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 at his residence in Peabody Retirement Community. He was born April 16, 1920 in East Chicago, IN to Anthony & Anna (Fetal) Mindala. One November 27, 1948 he married Bernice L. Lambert. She survives. Mike was a tool & die machinist at Manchester Tool & Die for 16 years. He retired in 1982. He graduated from Linlawn High School, Wabash, IN 1940. He then attended Manchester College for 1 1/2 years. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran. He was a life member of American Legion Post #286 and the Moose Lodge both of North Manchester, IN and a member of Deming Lodge #88 F&AM;, North Manchester, IN. He was also a member of Scottish Rite & Mizpah Shrine Club both of Fort Wayne, IN. Mike was also an avid sports fan of Indiana University & Chicago Cubs. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Thomas W. (Jennifer) Mindala, Denver, CO; one daughter, Anna M. (Joe) DuRussel, Reese, MI; and four grandchildren, Andrew Mindala, Anchorage, AK, Sara Mindala, Denver, CO, John DuRussel, Ann Arbor, MI and Angela DuRussel, Reese, MI. Ora Dee Virginia Stackhouse, 89, Lagro, IN died at 1: 15 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in her residence. She was born November 29, 1919 in Grassy, AL to Sterling & Georgia E. (Wilcoxson) Scott. She attended school in Greenhill, AL and was a Rosie the Riveter at General Motors in Detroit, MI during WWII. She worked at Kroger Egg Exchange, Wabash, IN for 30 years retiring in 1981. In June 1949 she married Horace R. Pickens. He died February 14, 1960. On November 30, 1964 she married Ernest N. Stackhouse. He died in April 2005. She attended Wabash Freewill Baptist Church at Erie Street, Wabash, IN. She is survived by one son, Dale Pickens, Lagro, IN; and two sisters, Shirley Pounders, St. Joseph, MI and Dorothy Duncan, Red Bay, AL. Seven brothers and one sister are deceased. Stephen W. Bellinger, 56, North Manchester, IN died at 3: 13 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2009 following an accident at his residence. He was born August 15, 1952 in LaPorte, IN to William O. & Kathryn "Kay" (Jobson) Bellinger. They survive at North Manchester, IN. Steve worked construction for over 30 years and currently was employed with Phend & Brown at Leesburg, IN. He was a 1970 graduate of Manchester High School, a member of Sons of American Legion Post # 286, North Manchester, IN and the Indiana Laborers & Hod Carriers Union. Also surviving are his wife, Jane (Scott) who he married September 29, 1984. A son, Shawn Bellinger, Silver Lake, IN; a sister, Mrs. Don (Sharon) Smith, Warsaw, IN; a granddaughter, Regan Bellinger, Silver Lake; one niece, Tasia Smith, Warsaw, IN; four nephews, R. She was born February 8, 1922 in Wabash County, Indiana to Lewis A. & Mabel (Early) Dale. She was a 1940 graduate of Somerset High School and retired in 1986 from Heckman Bindrey, North Manchester. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Leah Dale, North Manchester, IN, nieces and nephews; Linda Dale, Milfrod, OH / Mrs. Dan (Rita) Houlihan, Rockford, IL / Phil (Robin) Dale, Roann, IN and Gary (JoDee) Dale, Andrews, IN. FRANKLIN COLBURN, 80, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Franklin Colburn, 80, North Manchester, IN died at 7: 00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1928 in Hamilton, AL to Floyd & Nola (James) Colburn. On August 1, 1952 he married Martha Mullinix. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Nancy) Leiter, Bullhead City, AZ and Mrs. Alan (Diana) Macnak, Warsaw, IN and four grandchildren. Seven brothers and three sisters are deceased. He was a serviceman for Public Service Indiana for 36 years, retiring in 1985. Frank served in the US Air-Force from 1946-1949, was a life member and past commander of American Legion Post # 286. He was also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2009 AT 11: 00 A.M. IN OAKLAWN cemetery, 600 BECKLEY STREET, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN. Lillian Jeanette Tridle, 90, North Manchester, IN died at 8: 45 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center. She was born in Kosciusko County, IN on October 29, 1918 to Floyd & Marie (Fox) Newcomer. On June 2, 1934 she married Earl E. Tridle. He died November 12, 1986. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Phil (Earlene) Joseph, Toledo, Ohio and Alice Tridle, Bowling Green, KY. One grandhcild and three great-grandchildren. One Brother, Hubert R. (Alice) Newcomer and two sisters, Vivian Miller and Mrs. Eugene (JoAnne) Valentine, all survive at North Manchester. A brother, Ronald Newcomer and two sisters, Louise Goehler and Carolyn Noland are deceased. Jeanette was a homemaker and former member of the Eel River Community Church of the Brethren. DAVID CORDRAY, 91, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
David Cordray, 91, Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, IN died at 1: 00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center. He was born November 13, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland to David M. & Ruth Wiedemeyer (Nichols) Cordray. He graduated from Oberlin (Ohio) College in 1940 with a BS degree. He married Hazel (Roberts) Earl on December 12, 1954 in Baltimore, MD. She died in December 2004. He was retired owner of Cordray Landscape Co., Baltimore, MD. He and his wife lived in Phoenix, MD until 2002. In 2002 they moved to the Brethren Home in New Oxford, PA. David moved to Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, IN, in 2005. He was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren, Liberty Mills, IN and Mount Moriah Lodge F & AM in Towson, MD. He is survived by one son, Merritt (Linda) Cordray, Alexandria, VA and one grandchild. NO SERVICES OR CALLING. At David's request the body has been cremated.

CLEON D. OVERMYER, 85, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Cleon D. Overmyer, 85, North Manchester, IN and formerly of Laketon, IN died at 2: 35 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Peabody Healthcare Center. He was born June 7, 1923 to William McKinley & Grace (Johnson) Overmyer in Leiters Ford, IN. He graduated from Laketon High School in 1941, where he was senior class president and played on the basketball team. He was a US Coast Guard veteran serving during World War II. He attended the Akron United Methodist Church, Akron, IN. For many years he was a youth baseball coach in the North Manchester and Laketon area. He was a livestock farmer and co-owner with his father of the Laketon Elevator, Laketon, IN. Later he worked for United Telephone Co., Warsaw, IN. On June 1, 1944 he married Iris Virginia Blackwell. She died September 9, 1994. He is survived by two sons, Michael (Peggy) Overmyer, Warsaw, IN and Mitchell (Kendall) Overmyer, Fort Wayne, IN; one daughter, Mona (Mrs. Richard) Shepherd, Laketon, IN and five grandchildren. SERVICES WILL BE HELD TUESDAY, MAY 5, 2009 AT 10: 30 A.M. AT MCKEE MORTUARY, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY CALL ON MONDAY, MAY 4, 2009 FROM 5: 00-8: 00 P.M. AT MCKEE MORTUARY. Pastor Duane Cragun and Pastor Karen Ottjes will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Warsaw, IN. AL J. DENEVE, 95, FORT WAYNE, IN
Al J. Deneve, 95, Fort Wayne, IN and formerly of rural North Manchester, IN died at 1: 45 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Coventry Meadows Healthcare, Ft. Wayne. He was born July 17, 1913 in Geneseo, IL to Edward & Sidonie (DeKoninck) Deneve. On June 7, 1936 he married Maxene Klinker. She died March 8, 2002. He was a retired farmer having farmed in Whitley and Kosciusko Counties for 45 years and was a mechanic at Deaton Equipment Sales, Claypool, IN for 25 years. He was a charter member, deacon and former Sunday school superintendent at Missionary Church, North Manchester, IN. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Margaret) Clouser, Estero, FL and Mrs. Fred (Joan) Grossman, Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Germaine Miller, Blacklick, OH; four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One brother, Frank Deneve, and one sister, Laura Gershbein, are deceased. SERVICES WILL BE HELD MONDAY, MAY 4, 2009 AT 2: 00 P.M. AT NORTH MANCHESTER MISSIONARY CHURCH, 806 EAST STATE ROAD 114, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY CALL ON SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2009 FROM 2: 00 - 5: 00 P.M. AT MCKEE MORTUARY AND ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICES ON MONDAY AT THE CHURCH. Dr. John Moran will officiate. Burial in Oaklawn cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
