Robert Fischer
TELL CITY - Robert W. Fischer, 77, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Tell City, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He retired as vice president of the Louisville Federal Intermediate Credit Bank and was a former employee of Acdi in Cairo, Egypt.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria A.; two daughters, Cathy L. Breidenbaugh and Rebecca L. Shewmaker; two sons, Mark A. and James A. Fischer; three sisters, Martha Hoover, Eloise Paulin and Rose Johnson; three brothers, Tony, Jim and Dave Fischer; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EST Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Ky., and from 2 to 8 p.m. EST Sunday and from 11 a.m. to service time Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Corydon, Ky., Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2950.
Joseph Gregory
LOOGOOTEE - Joseph C. Gregory, 77, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at his home.
He was a retired farmer and was a past director of the Haysville Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel; three sons, Brad, Bryan and Dan Gregory; a brother, Marvin Gregory; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brocksmith Funeral Home, with burial in Lemmon Cemetery
in Boon Township, with military rites.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humanitarian Endowment for Martin County.
Joan Ingram
WASHINGTON - Joan (Ragsdale) Ingram, 73, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at her home.
Surviving are her husband, Paul E.; a daughter, Paulette Kessinger; two sons, David W. and Jonathan L. Ingram; a sister, Aletha Kinnett; a brother, William T. Ragsdale; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Tuesday at Parkview Christian Church in Plainville, with burial in Old Union Cemetery
in Jamestown, Ind.
There will be no visitation at Gill Funeral Home in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Christian Church.
Cletis Miller
LYNNVILLE - Cletis Ray Miller, 75, of Franklin, formerly of Lynnville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
He was a laborer.
Surviving are a sister, Barbara Eaker.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home in Lynnville, with burial in Lynnville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Betty Morgan
WASHINGTON - Betty L. Morgan, 68, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was a nurse's aide at Daviess County Hospital and was a jail matron for eight years. She was the Washington Township assessor for eight years and the Daviess County clerk for eight years.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph D.; a daughter, Dianna Williams; a son, Ronald W. Morgan; two sisters, Sue Byrd and Janet Sims; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Monday at Gill Funeral Home, with entombment in Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Anita Rankin Owens
TELL CITY - Anita Rankin Owens, 54, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at her home.
Anita had worked for Tell City Chair Company for 14 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Anita enjoyed quilting, collecting angels and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Tonya and Terri Rankin, both of Tell City, and Lisa Rankin of Copperas Cove, Texas; a son, James Rankin of Copperas Cove, Texas; a stepdaughter, Tina Maysey of Perry County, Ind.; two stepsons, Kevin and David Owens, both of Perry County, Ind.; two sisters, Sheila Bartlett of Bloomfield and Barbara Sturgeon of Reo; three brothers, Alfred Weatherholt of Grandview, Marvin Weatherholt of Bloomfield and Fred Weatherholt of Philpot, Ky.; three half brothers, Leroy Weatherholt of Louisville, Ky., Charles Weatherholt of Elizabethtown, Ky., and John Splater of Troy, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess W. and Ruth Weatherholt; her first husband, Bill Rankin; and a brother, Donnie Weatherholt.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. EST Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Richstatter officiating, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery
in Tell City.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and Sunday, and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Virginia Payne
BICKNELL - Virginia Kay (Racey) Payne, 55, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She ran the Bicknell Park concession stand, worked at Moores Nursing Home and ran Kay's Apartments.
Surviving are her husband, Dan; two daughters, Leila Drogich and Danetta Strate; a son, Leslie Earl Payne; two brothers, Robert and Rex Racey; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EST Monday at Bicknell Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McClure Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel and from noon to service time Monday at the church.
Eunice Seitz
BOONVILLE - Eunice (Smith) Seitz, 86, of Boonville, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002.
Eunice was formerly of Midway, Ind., living in
Spencer County for over 50 years.
She was a member of Main Street General Baptist Church in Boonville and was a charter member of the Pioneer Sunday school class. She was a former member of Midway United Methodist Church, and cared for her friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest G. Seitz, in 1991.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Tom Welch of Boonville and Phyllis and Norm Smith of Greenwood; a son, David "Frosty" Seitz of Chandler; two brothers, James O. Smith of Kokomo, Ind., and Donald R. Smith of Greencastle; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, the Rev. Ron Lee officiating, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday, Feb. 3 from 2 until 8 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. until funeral time.

Wanda Roten
Wanda L. Roten, 54, of Evansville, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of heart failure.
Surviving are her husband of six years, Weldon Ray; a daughter, Kristina D. Walden of Evansville; two stepdaughters, Janie Greenwell of Henderson, Ky., and Carol Roten of Evansville; two sons, Scott A. Hendrick and Gary Lee Vincent, both of Evansville; two stepsons, David Roten of Evansville and Danny Roten of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Judy Timberlake of Hazleton, Ind., and Debbie Cowe, Connie Arnold and Vicky Vincent, all of Evansville; two brothers, Elvis and Jeff Vincent, both of Evansville; 11 grandchildren, Dalton and Damon Vincent, Lorie and Holly Ayres, Jennifer, Scott and Dakota Hendrick, Jamie and David Clark, Dustin DeMoss and Steven Rose; 13 stepgrandchildren, D.J. Jr., Victoria, Ashley, Austin, Chad, Haley, Brittany, Quincey and Jordon Roten, Elizabeth and Chelsea Griffin and Daniel and Breanna Kirk; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Browning Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
