Bealor of Rolling Prairie; two sisters, Arcile Struglinski of Prescott, Ariz., and Jessie Ekstrom of Oregon; and a brother, Arthur Grover of Spanaway, Wash. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

John P. Geberin

July 1, 1939 - Oct. 19, 1998

WARSAW - John P. Geberin, 59, of 1555 Ford Lane, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday in Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Kim; two sons, Timothy A. of Warsaw and John T. of Peru, Ind.; a sister, Kathy Comina of Solana Beach, Calif.; and a brother, Zane of Indianapolis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Community Grace Brethren Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in McHatton - Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, and one hour before services in the church.

Noble L. Hedington

Nov. 28, 1910 - Oct. 20, 1998

PIERCETON - Noble L. Hedington, 87, of 4871 Old Road 30 East, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Faye H.; and two daughters, Vivian Mitchell of Pierceton and Peggy Holmes of Warsaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in McHatton - Sadler Funeral Chapel, where friends may call two hours before services.

John Leonard

Jan. 26, 1932 - Oct. 19, 1998

LAGRANGE - John Leonard, 66, of 048 W. U.S. 20, died at 9:50 a.m. Monday in Winslow (Ariz.) Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Linda Leonard of Huntington, Long Island, N.Y., and Kelly Leibmand of Centereach, Long Island; two sons, Shawn of Franklin Park, N.J., and Mark of Dix Hills, N.Y.; and three brothers, Vincent, Gerald and Thomas, all of New York. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Carney - Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Monroe C. Loomis

Sept. 9, 1915 - Oct. 21, 1998

LIGONIER - Monroe C. Loomis, 83, of Pontiac Street, died Wednesday in Oak Leaf Village. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Ulrey - Renner Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 7 Friday.

Susan C. McGinness

July 26, 1967 - Oct. 14, 1998

WINONA LAKE - Susan C. McGinness, 31, of 200 Fifth St., died at 3:03 a.m. Oct. 14 in Seattle, Wash. The death is being investigated by Seattle Medical Examiner Sigmund Menchel. Survivors include her parents, Nancy and Arthur McGinness of Winona Lake; a sister, Barbara Howard of Fort Myers, Fla.; and two brothers, Eric of South Bend and David of Indianapolis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, where friends may call two hours before services.

Sue Ann McQuaid

Nov. 21, 1950 - Oct. 20, 1998

NILES - Sue Ann McQuaid, 47, of 504 S. 16th St., died Tuesday in Lakeland Medical Center, Niles. Survivors include two sons, Robert Masterman III and Timothy Masterman, both of Niles; her parents, Dorothy and Richard Pegan of Pulaski, Tenn.; a sister, Katherine Swanson of Pulaski, Tenn.; and two brothers, Richard A. Pegan of Pulaski, and David L. Pegan of Edwardsburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Halbritter Funeral Home, where friends may call an hour before services.

Arthur R. Podell

Aug. 2, 1911 - Oct. 19, 1998

WINAMAC - Arthur R. Podell, 87, of 920 S. Monticello St., Apt. 5, died Monday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital. Survivors include four daughters, Kathryn Benkie of Michigan City, Cherryl Bothwell of Crown Point, Ind., Linda Kumpula of Lenexa, Kan., and Janet Holke of Orland Park, Ill.; a son, Billy of Chicago; and a brother, Lowell of Denham. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Denham. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in O'Donnell Funeral Home, North Judson.

Robert J. Sadenwater Sr.

July 25, 1938 - Oct. 20, 1998

WARSAW - Robert J. "Bob" Sadenwater, Sr., 60, of 47 EMS C 28C Lane, died at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters, Beth Krudop of Fort Wayne and Karen Sadenwater of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Bob Jr. of Clarkston, Mich., and Patrick of Indianapolis; a sister, Carol Stewart of Michigan City; and a brother, Don of Wyoming, Mich. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis' Catholic Church, Pierceton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in McHatton - Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, where a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

LAPORTE - Lois (Bluhm) Scott, 79, of 2193 W. County Road 250 South died Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, West Volusia, DeLand, Fla. Survivors include her husband, John R.; two sons, Paul Bluhm of Anderson, Ind., and Phillip Bluhm of Stillwell; a sister, Lyla Sherrard of DeLand; and a brother, Claude A. Burlingham of Winter Haven, Fla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cutler Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and two hours before services Saturday.

David D.W. Swaine

Dec. 2, 1934 - Oct. 20, 1998

NILES - David D.W. Swaine, 63, of 1507 Bond St., died Tuesday in the home of a friend on Meadow Lark Lane, Berrien Springs. Survivors include his wife, Lois; two daughters, Carla Ann Borresen of Son, Norway and Ingrid Smalling of Neptune Beach, Fla.; a sister, Sharon Searle of Armadale, Australia; and a brother, Dermot of Capetown, South Africa. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Pioneer Memorial Church, Berrien Springs. There is no visitation. Kerley & Starks Funeral Home, St. Joseph, is handling arrangements.

Polly A. Tharpe

March 22, 1936 - Oct. 20, 1998

KNOX - Polly Anna Tharpe, 62, of 413 S. East St., died Tuesday in Wintersong Nursing Home. Survivors include five sons, Kenny of Grovertown, and Willard, Mark, Thomas and Steve, all of Knox; three sisters, Mary Jordan, Opal Fraizer and Lil Haddix, all of Knox; and three brothers, Don Haddix of Knox and McKinley Haddix Jr. and Reed Haddix, both of Jackson, Ky. Services will be at 1 p.m Friday in Braman and Son Memorial Chapel, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Lawrence Tholl

June 25, 1946 - Oct. 9, 1998

KNOX - Lawrence "Larry" Tholl, 52, of 5980 E. County Road 100 North, died Oct. 9 of injuries from a motorcycle accident on Sept. 29 in Youngstown, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Brigitte Tholl of Knox; his parents, Bernice and Henry Tholl of Orlando, Fla.; and a brother, Robert of North Carolina. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, where friends may call two hours before services.

Maurice Crumbley

Jan. 22, 1972 - Sept. 21, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Maurice Crumbley, 26, of 401 N. Walnut, was found dead Monday in his home. The death is being investigated by the St. Joseph County Special Crimes Unit. Survivors include his parents, Joyce Spann of South Bend and Willie Crumbley Jr. of Florida; three sisters, Contessa and Christian Crumbley, both of Fort Wayne, and Monique Spann of Chicago; and a brother, Morrell Jones of South Bend. Services will be at noon Saturday in River of Life Family Church, where friends may call one hour before services. Clark Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.

Dr. R. Charles Eades

Feb. 15, 1923 - Sept. 21, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Dr. R. Charles Eades, 75, of East Jefferson Boulevard, died Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Gratia M. (Strack); three daughters, Beverly J. Shanks of Mesa, Ariz., Elizabeth A. Schorgl of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Catherine M. Decker of Pinckney, Mich.; and three sons, James R. of Carmel, Ind., David P. of South Bend and Robert C. of Greensboro, N.C. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Hickey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

MISHAWAKA - - Helen M. Fisher, 94, of Ironwood Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, formerly of South Main Street, Mishawaka, died Monday in the center. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Fairview cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. There is no visitation. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.

Jack J. Garretson

Jan. 21, 1923 - Sept. 22, 1998

MISHAWAKA - - Jack J. Garretson, 75, of Princess City Drive, died Tuesday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County, South Bend. Survivors include his wife, Violet; a daughter, Penny Cook of Mishawaka; two sisters, Pat and Ruby; and three brothers, Willard and Paul of Huntington, Ind., and Roger. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Granger Christian Life Assembly Church. There is no visitation.
