Funeral services for C.F. "Junie" Manley, Jr., 71, of St. Petersburg Fl., will be held Monday, Dec. 1 at Scott Funeral Home North Chapel with entombment in Walnut Ridge Mausoleum. He died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was the retired owner and president of Continental Construction and Lumber Co. He was a member of the Kosair Shrine, Robinson Masonic Lodge #266 F & AM, Scottish Rite, Moose Lodge 2420 in Jeffersonville and the American Legion Lodge 400 in Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret C. Manley; a son, Tony Manley and his wife, Val, of Louisville; three daughters, Donna Miller and her husband, Mark, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Babs Wells and her husband, Harold, of Evans, Ga., and Terri Goodykoontz and her husband, Charlie, of Bradenton, Fla.; a brother, Ronnie Manley, Jeffersonville; two sisters, Sharon Smith, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. and Margaret Walker, St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Stacie, Missy, Clay, Joe, Lauren, Casey and Shannon; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, C.F. Manley and his mother, Elma Mae Manley.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30. There will be a Masonic Service at 7 p.m.
John Robert Clapp
62; of Nabb
Funeral services for John Robert Clapp, 62, of Nabb, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003 at h is home.
He was a native of Sellersburg, a former heavy equipment operator for ICI Americas and a member of the New Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, the former Karen Elaine Spriestersbach; a son, Brian Clapp, Nabb; a daughter, Sheila Curry, New Washington; two brothers, Allen Clapp, Georgetown and Gary Clapp, Nabb; a sister, Mary Clapp, Nabb; four grandchildren and severa nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Grace Bower Clapp and a sister, Carol Creech.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 28 and after 8 a.m. Saturday.
The family requests expresssions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes. Association or the New Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
Helen Leach Goodwin
89; of Sellersburg
Funeral services for Helen Leach Goodwin, 89, of Sellersburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Garr Funeral Home, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Green Valley Care Center, New Albany.
She was a member of Sellersburg Church of Christ and Pleasant Grove Homemaker's Club. She was retired ffrom the U.S. Census Bureau.
Survivors include a son, James Goodwin and his wife, Janet, Charlestown; a daughter, Carol Haas and her husband, George, Sellersburg; three grandchildren, Susan Bowmen and husband, George, Bill Goodwin and wife, Rose and Jim Haas and wife, Marcie and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Goodwin.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the World of Life Radio Ministry.
Julius D. Carter
of New Albany
A graveside service for Julius D. Carter, of New Albany, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Green Meadows Cemetery
in Louisville. He died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Green Valley Convalescent Center.
He was a native of Burkesville, Ky., a retired heavy machine operator for Local Union 89, a member of the Shriner's and the brotherhood of the Mason for many years.
Survivors include his eight children, Mary Jane Carter, Darlene Winburn, Saline Parker, Olivia Newton-Cooper, Julius Carter Jr., Kay James, John Carter and Kenneth Carter; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lola Moorehead and Agnes Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Carter.
There will be no visitation.

Charles E. Robinson
50; of New Albany
Funeral services for Charles E. Robinson, 50, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the Paul V. Shrader Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at the Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of Huntingburg, Ind. and a former employee of the Old Hoosier Panel Co.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Robinson Jr., Kenneth Robinson and Timothy Robinson, all of New Albany; a daughter, Christine Swift, New Albany; four brothers, Carl Pierson, James Pierson, Joseph Pierson and Samuel Pierson, all of Sullivan, Ind.; four sisters, Margaret Robinson, Jeffersonville, Lorraine Robinson, Alice Pierson and Betty Pierson, all of Sullivan, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.

in English. He died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 28, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the funeral home.

in Elizabeth. He died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Charles "Chuck" D. Ross
63; formerly of Floyd County
Funeral services for Charles "Chuck" D. Ross, 63, of Iowa, were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Lunning Chapel, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery
in Cincinnati, Iowa, at a later date. He died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003.
He was a former resident of Floyd County from 1977 to 2002.
A memorial has been established.
Alice Frazier
age 86; housewife
Funeral services for Alice Frazier, 86, of Charlestown, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Westminster Healthcare Center, Clarksville.
She was a native of Letcher County, Ky., a housewife and a member of Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Frazier; a son Gary Frazier, Charlestown; two daughters, Donna Sipe, Charlestown and Pat Meyer, Columbus; two brothers, Benton Whitaker, Charlestown and Ed Whitaker, Trenton, Mich., and one grandchild.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28 and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Virginia Brooks Hutson
age 82; IUS employee
A memorial service for Virginia Brooks Hutson, 82, of Westwood Lane, Floyd County, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Trinity United Methodist Church. She died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003.
She was employed at IU Southeast.
Survivors include her brother, Robert B. Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Thomas Hutson.
