Willamae Baer
Willamae Baer, 67, Wabash, died at 9:05 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 27, 2002) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Baer was a school bus driver for 29 years for the Metropolitan School District of Wabash County. She was a member of the Richvalley United Methodist Church, and the Women of the Moose and the Eagles Auxiliary, both of Wabash.
She was born Nov. 26, 1934, in Jefferson Township of Huntington County, to William Otis Wearly and Mildred Irene Saul Wearly. She married Donald W. Baer June 21, 1950, in Wabash. Her husband survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Dallas Baer, John Baer, and Kevin Baer, all of Urbana, and Ron Baer and John Baer, both of Wabash; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Teresa) Miller, Wabash; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Otis Dee Wearly, Birmingham, Ala.; and three sisters, Ruth Ann Oswalt, Birmingham, Ala., Marjorie Brown, Warsaw, and Bertha Jo Marshall, Wabash.
A daughter, Janelle Sinclair, died in 1994. A sister also preceded her in death.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home’s Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Forrest Bowers officiating. Burial will be at the Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association.
Charles E. Rittenhouse
Charles Ellis Rittenhouse, 64, 2202 Dieringer Dr., died at 12:39 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 30, 2002) at his home.
Mr. Rittenhouse retired from the General Motors Fabrication Plant in Marion in 1993, after 33 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked part time as a delivery driver for Town and Country Flowers and Gifts in Huntington.
He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he served as treasurer for 28 years. He was a former board member of Huntington County Associated Churches.
He was born May 26, 1937, in Wheeling, W. Va., to Rev. Ellis M. Rittenhouse and Lenna Holbert Rittenhouse. He graduated from Salamonie Township High School, Warren, in 1955 and completed one year of studies at Manchester College. He married Patricia L. Vickery in Huntington on Aug. 30, 1959. His wife survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ray E. Rittenhouse, Huntington; three daughters, Mrs. James (Melanie) Olinger, Carol S. Rittenhouse and Mrs. Marshall (Debra) Doctor, all of Huntington; and 11 grandchildren.
Three half-brothers, Robert Rittenhouse, Walter Rittenhouse and Kenneth Rittenhouse, preceded him in death.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd. Rev. Kevin C. Dunlop and Rev. Eugene Vickery will officiate.
Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

Ethel L. Jenerou, 78, Markle, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday (Jan. 28, 2002) at the Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne.

Lois E. Lambert
Lois E. Lambert, 73, Markle, died Tuesday (Jan. 29, 2002) at the Markle Health Care Center.

Janne Blocker
Janne Steele Blocker, 82, Adams, Mass., died Friday (Jan. 25, 2002) at her home.
Mrs. Blocker taught high school economics in Texas and Pennsylvania, and had also resided in Oklahoma, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan, New York, Florida and Georgia. She had also visited more than 100 countries and islands during her lifetime. She moved to Adams, Mass., in 1998.
She was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Huntington to Earl and Dessie Moore Steele. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1937, Indiana University in 1941 earning a bachelor’s degree in home economics, and the University of Michigan in 1958 earning a master’s degree in education. She married Clyde Edward Blocker on Dec. 25, 1941. Her husband died Dec. 15, 1980.
Survivors include two sons, Vincent M. Blocker, San Diego, Calif., and David S. Blocker, Beverly, Mass.; a daughter, Ann Blocker, Adams, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
A sister, Mary S. Callaway, preceded her in death in 1993.
There will be no calling hours.
A private memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.

Mary L. Tackett
Private services for Mary L. Tackett were held Thursday at the W. H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio.
Burial was at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
Mary Tackett, 68, of Celina, Ohio, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday (Jan. 28, 2002) at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Ohio to Hardin and Mary Emma Tackett.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edward (Beatrice) Howard, residence unknown; and a brother, Howard Tackett, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Tackett, and a stepbrother, Ray Tackett. She was also preceded in death by a companion, Raymond Foreman.

Osa M. Reiber
Osa M. Reiber, 98, died at 10:55 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 31, 2002) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where she was a resident.
Ms. Reiber was a member of the Parker City United Methodist Church. She had lived her early years in the Eaton area and later most of her life in Parker City before entering the United Methodist Memorial Home on Aug. 25, 1988.
She was born April 21, 1903, in Delaware County to Edward and Grace Brown Reiber. She graduated from Salma High School, Delaware County, in 1921.
Survivors include three nephews, Cecil Reiber, Parker City, Kenneth Reiber, Farmland, and Joe Reiber, Morrisburg, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Calling is from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday at the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. Rev. John Bellante will officiate.
Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Catherine Holland
Catherine Holland, 80, a former resident of Huntington, died Thursday (Jan. 31, 2001) in Hobart.
She was born April 17, 1921, in Huntington, a daughter of John and Mary Moran Holland.
She is survived by a sister, Anna Mary Holland, St. Augustine, Fla.
Two brothers, James Holland and Rev. Edward Holland, are deceased.
Calling is 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with services at 10 a.m. at the church. Father Robert Fosselman and Father Gary Sigler will officiate.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Belinda L. Winkelman
Belinda L. Winkelman, 46, 3311W-100N, died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 2, 2002) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Winkelman was a homemaker and had previously worked in the maintenance engineering department at Hayes Lemmerz International for nine years. She graduated from Northfield High School, Wabash, in 1974 and earned an associate’s degree in business management last year from Indiana Institute of Technology.
She was born Nov. 24, 1955, in Wabash to William C. and Ida Ellenwood Helvey. She married Michael K. Winkelman in Huntington on April 25, 1998. Her husband survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Brady Dean White, Wabash, and Anson William White, Huntington; her mother and stepfather, Ida Ellenwood Helvey and Paul Cripe of North Manchester; two brothers, Brian Helvey and Barry Helvey, both of North Manchester; and two grandchildren.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Ed French will officiate.
Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
