Adrian Foutch
May 17, 1911 - July 23, 1988
Adrian Foutch, 77, R.1, Cbalmers, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, July 23, in Home Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Mr. Foutch had been engaged in farming at R.1, Chalmers, 39 years, but had farmed a total of 58 years. He and his family hosted the Farm Progress Show at Route 1 in 1982.
He was born May 17, 1911, in Benton County. His first marriage was to Mildred Louise Newton, who died in 1937. He later married Irma Ethel Smith, who died in 1939. On Dec. 28, 1940, he was married in Kentucky to Fannie Pittmen, who survives.
He was a Golden Eagle and a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie 347 in Lafayette. He also was a mem ber of Crawfordsville Loyal Order of the Moose 8.
Surviving with the widow are a son, Ronnie A. Foutch, R.1, Chalmers, and one brother, Emory Foutch of Wolcott. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandson. Preceded in death by a son, John and a twin brother.
Service was in Hartzler Chapel in Brookston, Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev Ron Spyker officiating. Interment was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
Ronnie A. Foutch
January 19, 1943 - January 24, 1991
Ronnie A. Foutch, 48, R.1, Chalmers; died of carbon monoxide poisoning, Thursday, Jan. 24, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Jan. 19, 1943, to Adrien and Fannie Pittman Foutch, in Lafayette. He was married March. 6, 1964, to Margaret Eberle, in Wolcott. She survives.
In 1961 he graduated from Wolcott High School and was the West Point Township Trustee.
He was a farmer and he and his parents were hosts of the 1982 Farm Progress Show. He was a former member of the National Guard in Remington and of the Journeyman Wireman Local No. 668 IBEW for 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion No. 268 in Chalmers.
Surviving with his wife and mother are two sons, Brian and Craig, R.1, Chalmers. One brother is deceased.
The funeral was Sunday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Ron Spyker officiating.
Burial was in IOOF Cemetery
in Brookston.
Betty J. Franklin
July 6, 1923 - October 20, 1988
Betty J. Franklin, 65, Reynolds, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 20, in the emergency room of St Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born in Idaville, July 6, 1923, to Floyd and Bonnie Lee A. Holiday Boller. She was married to Floyd D. Franklin in Burnettsville, Feb. 2, 1945. He survives.
She had lived in Reynolds, since 1952 and was a member of the Reynolds Christian Church. She had been a waitress in various restaurants in Monticello.
Surviving with her husband are her mother, Bonnie Lee Rotruck, Monticello; two sons, Gale L of Harrogate, Tenn. and Dennis R. Winamac; two daughters, Carolyn J Wandrei, Brookston and Patricia A. Holeman, Reynolds; one brother, Jerry Boller, Monticello; one sister, Josephine Maroif, New Whiteland; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Miller Voorhis Funeral Home, Monticello with the Rev Donald Arterburn officiating.
Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens at West Lafayette.
Nina May Fraser
April 20, 1904 - April 25, 2002
Nina May Fraser, 98, Monticello, died Thursday, April 25 in Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.
She was born April 20, 1904, to George Rudolph and Rosa May Hildebran Bliss, in Buffalo. She was raised by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Labon Hildebran. She was married July 27, 1929, to Lincoln Y. Fraser, in Monticello, and he died Feb. 25, 1956.
She had lived in Monticello most of her life and was a 1924 graduate of Monticello High School.
She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church and belonged to several groups of the church. She was a member of the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens Club and White County Historical Society.
She enjoyed bowling (which she started when she was 82), bingo, working on genealogy; quilting and crocheting. She loved gardening, especially flowers.
Survivors include a daughter, Fuchsia "Rose" (Monroe) Heglin, Monticello; sons, John R. Fraser, of Whiteland; Lincoln L. (Gloria) Fraser of Loudonville, Ohio; William Fred (Nancy) Fraser and Lynn T. (Virgie) Fraser, both of Monticello; 25 grandchildren; a step grandchild; 40 great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; 10 step great-great grandchildren and a step great-great-great granddaughter.
An infant son, Tommy Fraser; son, Larry B. Fraser; daughter, Phyllis Dishon and great-great grandson, Mark Allen Sass, are deceased.
Services were Monday, at 10:30 a.m. in the Monticello Christian Church, with the Rev. Chris Dodson and Pastor Don Haase officiating. Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello was in charge of services.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Monticello Christian Church.
Emmajean Williams Frick
August 7, 1920 - March 19, 2001
Emmajean Williams Frick, 80, of Monticello died Monday, March 19, 2001 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born August 7, 1920 in Monon, the daughter of Alfred and Wright Hinkle Williams.
She married Harry D. Frick, Jr., in Monon on February 14, 1942. He died June 20, 1991.
She was a 1937 graduate of Monon High School and had lived in White Co. all her life. She was a 1939 graduate of International Business College. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello where she was Past President of the Presbyterian Women and the Care and Share Circle.
She was also involved in the White County Democratic Women. She was a tireless volunteer for the church, White Co. Historical Society, and the Monticello-Union Township Public Library. She was Bridge Club member and was also an avid fan and a devoted Democrat.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucy F. (Michael) Crawford of Louisville, KY.; two sons, Harry D. Frick III, Culver, IN., Fred W. (Elizabeth) Frick, MD of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and one sister; Joanne (Robert) Peters of Fort Wayne, In.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2001, with Rev. Bruce Hurley officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following services at the church
Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home is in charge of the service.

Leone M. Friday
January 16, 1914 - April 16, 2002
Leone M. Friday, 88, of Monon died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at her residence.
She was born on January 16, 1914, in Francesville, to Julius and Marie Ann Barth Honegger. She married John W. Friday on June 11, 1943, in Long Beach, California. He is deceased.
She was a resident of Idaville for most of her life, and had lived in Monon for 10 years.
She was an a active member of Monon Community Church.
She had been employed at RCA Manufacturing, in Monticello.
Surviving are a sister, Esther DeVault of Monon, and 30 nieces and nephews.
Seven sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 20, 2002 at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville with Pastor Don Newman officiating.
Burial was at Idaville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Monon Community Church.
Helen E. Frist
August 9, 1898 - May 5, 1993
Helen Eliza Frist, 94, of Clinton, died Wednesday, May 5, at 8 a.m. in Home Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 29. She was born Aug. 9, 1898, in Vermillion County and lived in Helt Township, Vermillion Co. until Oct. 1990, when she moved to Heritage Health Care, West Lafayette.
She .was married Oct. 25, 1919, to Harlow P. Frist, in Columbus, Ohio. He preceded her in death March 12, 1975, and was a retired farmer.
She was a member of Vermillion Co. Ext. Home Ec Club, Salem United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and had been a youth Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 140 Auxiliary and was a Precinct Committee Woman for many years.
She was honored with life memberships by the Extension Home Economics Clubs and Methodist Womens Society for her community service.
Survivors are a daughter, Mary Edith Banes, Lafayette; a son, Robert J. Frist, Brookston; a brother, Paul V. Miller, Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. A daughter, Betty Lou Frist Mayes, is deceased.
Service was at Frist Funeral Home, Clinton, on Saturday, at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in Helt's Prairie Cemetery.
Dr. Robert J. Frist
April 16, 1925 - October 23, 1998
Dr. Robert J. Frist, 798 W 1050S, Brookston, Ind. passed away Friday, October 23, at 11:40 a.m. at Home Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since September 21st.
He was born Apil 16, 1925, to Harlow and Eliza Frist and was raised on the family farm near Clinton, Ind. in Vermillion County.
He was married Sept 3, 1950, to Frances Lillian Vrabic, in Clinton, Ind.
He graduated from St. Bernice high School in 1943. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the south Pacific until his discharge in 1946.
In 1951, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in vocational agriculture education and his Master of Science degree in extension education from Purdue in 1962. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1965.
Dr. Frist was a vocational agriculture teacher and 4-H club leader in the Klondike and Shadeland areas for six years. He then joined the Indiana Cooperative Extension Service as an Assistant County Agent in Benton County in 1957. He was then transferred in 1960 to the State Extension staff as a supervisor responsible for the Better Farming and Better Living program. In 1975, he became head of the 4-H and Youth Department at Purdue. Under his leadership, the 4-H and Youth Department made advancements in record keeping programming and use of the computer in state and county offices. He retired April 30, 1985, and was named Professor Emeritus.
He was a member and Chapter Advisor of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, as well as a member of Alpha Zeta and Ceres while at Purdue. He was also a member of Lafayette Masonic Lodge #123,Scottish Rite, Wabash Township Farmers Club #2 and the American Lung Association's Better Breathers Group and Central Presbyterian Church, Lafayette.
Surviving with his wife are four sons, Robert H. Frist of Indianapolis, Dennis F. Frist of Round Grove, Karl David Frist, Brookston and Douglas M. Frist, Southern Pines, N.C. and a sister, Mary Edith Banes, Lafayette. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Herman May of Clinton and a niece Mary Lynn Skeel of Ormond Beach, Florida. A sister, Betty Lou Mayes, preceded him in death.
Funeral service was Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Pastor Phil Emerson officiating.
Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
