Linda Kay Federer, 48, of Wolcott died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been ill for two years.
She was born at Hammond on September 10, 1954, to John and Florence Hogan. She married Joe Federer on January 19, 1974. He survives.
She was a 1972 graduate of Kewanna High School.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband.
She had lived in the Wolcott area for 29 years, coming from Kewanna.
She was a member of the Church of God.
She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She was active, through her children, in the Tri-County FFA Connection and Band Boosters. She enjoyed gardening; making crafts and writing spiritually oriented poetry.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Jason Federer of Wolcott; a daughter, Kristen Federer of Chicago; sisters, Kathy (Rudy) Dees of Visalia, Calif., Wendy (Dan) Kelly of West Lafayette, Alice (Darrell) White of Winamac and Janice (Ozzie) Graham of Kewanna; brother, Mike Hogan of Kewanna; and her parents John and Florence Hogan of Kewanna.
Funeral services were Monday at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Rev. Vern Stevry officiating.
Burial was in Wolcott Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Health Freedom Foundation, Great Falls, Va., or the charity of the donor's choice in memory of Linda Kay Federer.
Carl Wayne Fisher
September 4, 1933 - December 24, 1994
Carl Wayne Fisher, Reynolds, died Saturday, Dec. 24, at Home Hospital, Lafayette, after a five-month illness.
He was born Sept. 4, 1933, to Roy D. and Ruth L. VanVoorst Fisher, in Chalmers. He was married Sept. 26, 1964, to Patricia A. Parrish, in Monticello, and she survives.
He was a 1951 graduate of Monon High School and Army veteran of the
Korean War. He lived in Monon for 22 years before moving to Reynolds in 1986.
He was a truck driver for Amoco Oil for about 15 years. He worked at Monon Corp. for 10 years and worked at LCL Transit, Lafayette, at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Reynolds Methodist Church, the Teamsters Union Local No. 135, Chalmers American Legion Post and was a former member of the Monon Volunteer Fire Depart ment. He also sponsored a girls softball team called the Reynolds Rockets.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Doug Fisher, Dayton; four daughters, Cindy Hancock, Reynolds; Cathy Applegate, Reynolds; Lou Ann Hendress, Reynolds and Jodi Smith, Monticello; three brothers, Melvin, Kentland, Roscoe, Clearmont, Fl. and Herb, Brookston; three sisters, Irene Irons, Monon, Edna Meeker, Brandenton, Fl. and Phyllis Hughes, Carmel; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral was Wednesday at Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with Rev. Roy Lee and Rev. James Copeland officiating. Burial was in Chapel Cemetery, Monon.
military graveside rites were conducted at Chapel Cemetery, Monon.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Girls Softball League of Reynolds.
Mary M. Fish
June 3, 1917 - February 7, 1989
Mary M. Fish, 71, Monticello, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been seriously ill in the hospital for three weeks and in poor health for more than three years.
She was born in Chalmers, June 3, 1917, to Raymond and Florence Shockey Snowberger. Her first marriage, Feb. 29, 1936, was to Clarence C. Stonebraker, who died Sept. 18, 1971. Her second marriage, Jan 6, 1974, was to Arlie Fish, who died Feb. 4, 1978.
She had lived in Monticello most of her life. She was employed for several years by Essex Wire Co. at Flora.
She was a member of White Co. Council on Aging, Monticello Moose Lodge Auxiliary and Calvary New Testament Church at Monticello.
Surviving are two sons, Jim L. and Bill R. Stonebraker, both of Monticello; one stepson, James E. Fish, Indianapolis; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Vader Seabolt, Frankfort and Bela McLaughlin, Indianapolis; six brothers, Richard "Dick" Snowberger, R.2, Delphi, Harry E. and Howard "Gene" Snowberger, both of Monticello, Kenneth Snowberger, Chalmers, Robert "Ben" Snowberger, Toledo, Ohio and George Snowberger, Reynolds.
Also surviving are two sisters, Annabell Zarse, R.1, Reynolds and Marjorie Gardiner, Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Two sisters, three brothers and two great-great grandchildren are deceased.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi.
William Flanagan, Sr.
October 20, 1930 - July 26, 1998
William Daniel Flanagan, Sr., 67, Monticello, died Sunday July 26, in White Co. Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for three years.
He was born Oct. 20, 1930, to William and Donnabell Burgess Flanagan, in Lafayette. He was married Nov. 27, 1960, to Carol Smith in Lafayette, and she survives.
He graduated from Jefferson High School, Lafayette.
He lived for 30 years in Monticello, moving from Lafayette.
He was employed as a truck driver and was a member of the Eagles and Redman's Lodges, both of Monticello.
He is survived by his wife; five sons, William D., Indianapolis; Michael, Covington, Mark, Delphi, and William H. and William E., both of Lafayette; two daughters, Sandra Hooker, Lafayette and Nancy Chapman, Monon; a sister, Marylee Kirk, Lafayette; 18 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Two children, four sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were today (Wednesday) at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with the Rev. James R. Copeland officiating.
Burial was in Spring Vale Cemetery, Lafayette.
Barbara E. Flora
January 30, 1933 - October 7, 1987
Barbara E. Sheehan Flora, 54, a former Brookston resident, died Wednesday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She lived in Indianapolis. She was born Jan. 30, 1933, in Westfield and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Flora was a member of Brookston United Methodist Churcb.
She married Keith V. Flora, who survives..
Also surviving are two sons, Mark Alan Flora, Fort Worth, Texas and Keith Douglas Flora, Indianapolis; her mother, Lora P Sheehan, Brookston; two sisters, Margaret Spear, Brookston and Juanita McCombs, Akron; and three brothers, Richard Sheehan, Brookston, Lewis Sheehan, Phoenix, Arizona and David Otto Sheehan, Delphi. There was a private service with interment in Brookston Cemetery. Conkle funeral directors, Speedway was in charge.
Rose Marie Foulks
April 20, 1929 - February 5, 2002
Rose Marie Foulks, 72, of Reynolds, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been ill for two weeks.
She was born on April 20, 1929, in Mishawaka, to Charles and Emma A. Dresden Casto. She married Byron G. Foulks on November 17, 1950, in Rensselaer. He died June 13, 1985.
She was a 1948 graduate of Rensselaer High School.
She was a homemaker. She had worked as a custodian at North White High School for 15 years, and was retired.
She was a Reynolds resident most of her life. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary both in Monticello.
Surviving are daughters Karen Krulik of Wapchese, N.C., Mabel Suter of Brookston and Ruth Criswell of West Lafayette; a son Bryan Foulks of Monticello; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at Kellogg Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, with Pastor David French officiating.
Burial was at Welsh Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Fannie Mae Foutch
October 31, 1923 - March 5, 2003
Fannie Mae (Pittman) Foutch, 79, of Waynetown, a former Chalmers resident, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at her residence.
She was born in Montgomery County on October 31, 1923, to James Francis and Abigail Lane Pittman. She married Thomas Adrian Foutch in Kentucky on December 28, 1940. He died on their Chalmers farm on July 23, 1988.
She was a homemaker and also helped on the family farm.
The Foutch family was host for the 1982 Farm Progress Show held on their Chalmers farm.
She was a member of the Wolcott United Methodist Church and attended Waynetown Baptist Church.
She was a member of Crawfordsville American Legion Auxiliary 72.
She moved from Chalmers to Waynetown in 1991.
Survivors include daughters-in-law Margaret Foutch of Chalmers and Colleen Homer of Monon; sister, Irene Beatrice West of Waynetown; grandchildren Brian, Craig and Shaun Foutch and Ann Hunt; and several great-grandchildren.
Sons, John and Ronnie Foutch; three brothers; and a sister are deceased.
Funeral services were at Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston on Saturday with Pastor Ed Maurer officiating.
Burial was at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brookston.
Memorials may be made to the Wolcott United Methodist Church or Waynetown Baptist Church.
Pearl Fredrick
August 14, 1941 - December 1, 2002
Pearl Fredrick, 61, of Henderson, Nevada, sister of area residents, died Sunday, December 1, 2002 at Columbia Sunrise Hospital in Henderson.
She was born August 14, 1941 in Monon, the daughter of George and Dora Bulington. She was married to Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Fredrick who survives.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons; Dr. & Mrs. Scott Fredrick of Toledo, Ohio and Neil Fredrick of London, England; a daughter Catherine (John) Scherer, Monon; two sisters, Lois Lindquist of Monticello and Ruth (Jack) Sizemore of Swayzee, iN; six brothers; Robert (Ruth) Bulington, Independence, IN., Edwin G. (Ruth) Bulington of LaCrosse, IN, Maurice (Jenny) Bulington of Monon, Lowell (Darlene) Bulington of Tucson, AZ, Zelith (Joyce) Bulington of Marion, IN, and Roger Bulington of New York, N.Y.
Visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 3 in Las Vegas, NV and on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5-8 and Friday, Dec. 6 from 2-8 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M.
Burial will follow at Roth Memorial Cemetery, Monclova, OH.
