Albion - 1918-2003

William E. Huff, 84, of Albion, a Central Noble School Corp. bus driver for 42 years, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. The Ligonier native was also a lifelong farmer and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Larry of Columbia City; a brother, Arlo of Sturgis, Mich.; sisters Marceil Bickel of Indianapolis and Viva Meroney of Ligonier; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta L., a brother and a sister. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Brazzell Funeral Home, Avilla, with calling one hour before services and also from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Sparta cemetery, Kimmell. Memorials are to the Albion Fire Department.

Harry D. Dailey
Spring Valley, Calif. - 1911-2003

Harry D. Dailey, 91, of Spring Valley, Calif., and formerly of Decatur, Ind., died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Mount Miguel Health Facility.

The Decatur, Ind., native was retired from Decatur, Ind., schools as a high school science and mathematics teacher from 1935 to 1964 and from Grossmont School District from 1964 to 1976. He was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church, Scottish Rite, Masonic Blue Lodge in Decatur, Ind., and a World War II Navy veteran. Surviving is his wife, Louise. A son, Jack, preceded him in death. Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ind., with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Decatur cemetery. Memorials are to the Jack Dailey Scholarship Fund C/O Adams County Community Foundation.

Waneta L. Fowler
Milford - 1920-2003

Waneta L. Fowler, 83, of Milford, a member of Milford Christian Church, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Lakeland Rehabilitation.

The Fort Wayne native retired in 1981 from Mogul Rubber after 38 years of service. Surviving are several friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, and a brother. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford. Burial will be at Felkner cemetery, Milford. Memorials are to the church or Milford Community Building.

William A. "Bill" Cramer
Warren - 1906-2003

William A. "Bill" Cramer, 96, of Warren, a retired Huntington County farmer, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at United Methodist Memorial Home.

The Jefferson Township native also retired in 1972 as a school bus driver for Jefferson Township and Huntington County. He served three terms on Huntington County Council, and was a Farm Bureau Co-op board member, member of Mount Etna United Methodist Church and an airplane pilot. Surviving are his wife, Frances E.; daughters Wilberta Horrell of Warren and Sharon Jones of Ossian; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, Warren, with calling from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Mount Etna cemetery, Huntington. Memorials are to the church.

Pearl Geraldine McMurray
Fremont - 1915-2003

Pearl Geraldine McMurray, 87, of Fremont, Clear Lake Township Trustee since 1983, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.

"Pearl will be remembered by the score of music students she taught over the 70 years she taught private lessons." The Auburn native was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as organist for other churches. Surviving are a son, David L. of Fremont; a daughter, Marilyn A. Stephenson of Detroit; and a sister, Fernflorid Gross of Baltimore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford D. Services are 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Chapel Catholic Church, Clear Lake. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont. Burial will be at Teeters cemetery, Fremont. Memorials are to St. Paul Chapel Catholic Church.

Robert G. McCollister
Lima, Ohio - 1913-2003

Robert G. McCollister, 89, of Lima, Ohio, a Fort Wayne native, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in Lima.

"Well-liked and loved by all residents at the independent living centers in Denton, Texas, and Lima, Ohio." He had worked for General Electric Co. in wire mill, and was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Denton, Texas. Surviving are a son, David of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Nancy Coreds of Lima; a sister, Helen Grote of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 2320 Broadway, Fort Wayne. Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to Burtons Ridge Assisted Living Center.

Syracuse - 1940-2003

Carl A. Boles, 62, of Syracuse, a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Goshen General Hospital. The Gary native retired in 2000 from NIPSCO after 40 years of service and was formerly of Crown Point. He was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, North Webster American Legion Post 253, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; daughters Stacie Warner of Loveland, Ohio, and Lori Boles of Algonquin, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Gabrielle Warner. Services are 7 p.m. Monday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with calling two hours before services. Memorials are to the church.

Decatur - 1915-2003

Emma M. West, 87, of Decatur, a member of Eagles Auxiliary, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.

The Van Wert County, Ohio, native retired in 1975 from National Seal Co./Federal Mogul in Van Wert, Ohio, after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and Rosary Society. Surviving are a son, James L. of Middlepoint, Ohio; a daughter, Jane A. Miller of Decatur; a sister, Ethel L. Dilworth of Denver; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Gerald R., a daughter, Janis E., and a brother preceded her in death. Prayer services at 1 p.m. Monday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, precede Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Decatur. Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a 7:30 p.m. rosary service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ridge cemetery, Van Wert County, Ohio. Memorials are to Adams County Council on Aging.

Garrett - 1920-2003

Marjorie Januseski, 82, of Garrett, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Lakeland Nursing Center in Angola.

The Garrett native had worked for Reike and Meesenger Corp., both in Auburn, General Electric Co. in Fort Wayne and Creek Chub Bait Co. She was a member of Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella and Eagles. Surviving are daughters Margo Lewis of Angola and Nedra Bonham of Columbus; a son, Anthony of Garrett; a brother, William Ballentine of Indianapolis; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, two sisters and two brothers. Services are 5 p.m. Monday at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett, with calling from 3 p.m. until services. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery, Garrett. Memorials are to Parkinson Disease.

Robert E. Dunahoo, 77, of Bluffton, a member of Elks and Masonic lodges, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.

The Los Angeles native retired in 1984 from Panhandle Eastern as warehouseman after 32 years of service. He was a member of First United Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Betty; and a sister, Mary P. Reynolds of Rockaway Beach, Mo. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, Bluffton, with calling one hour before services and also from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial with military graveside services by American Legion Post 111 will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Memorials are to the church.
