JOHN R. FELLERS

HUGOTON -- John Rolin Fellers, 84, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Jan. 12, 1920 to Floyd and Mary Fellers in Kismet.

He married Betty Jean Poteet on Nov. 14, 1965 in Moscow.

He was a farmer and enjoyed farming.

He was a member of the Baptist Church in Kismet and the V.F.W. in Hugoton and Disabled American Veterans.

He enjoyed wheel Of Fortune, watching football and baseball games, and playing pitch at the V.F.W. in Hugoton

Survivors include his wife, Betty Fellers, Hugoton, ; two sons, Randy Owens and wife Donnell, Belton, MO.; Mike Owens and wife Nancy, Moscow;one daughter, Joyce Fellers, Winfield; six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren; two sisters; RUby Lewis, Liberal and Mary Lewis, Kismet.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, eight brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at the Moscow Baptist Church with reverend Larry Bradford presiding.

Military Graveside services at the Moscow Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Paul's Funeral Home-Box 236 - Hugoton KS. 67951.

Friends may call Today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MARILYN L. ENSZ

MONTEZUMA -- Marilyn Leroy Ensz, 77, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.

He was born June 2, 1927 to Abraham and Anna Ensz in Inman.

He married Rosella Koehn on April 29, 1951. She died Nov. 27, 1992.

He then Married Edith Koehn on Aug. 18, 1995.

He was a farmer.

He was a member of the Church Of God In Christ Mennonite Church in Montezuma.

Survivors include his wife Edith Ensz, Montezuma; one son, Roger Ensz and wife Julie, Center, Colo.; two step-sons, Steve Keohn and wife Grace, Brooksville, MS.; and Scott Keohn and wife Della, Brooksville, MS.; three daughters, Jane Koehn and husband Jerry, Montezuma, Aneta Hochstetler and husband Tim, Marion, AL.; Teresa Miller and husband Clayton, Brooksville, MS.;16 grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Allen Ensz and wife Justina Linden, Alberta, Canada., Leon Ensz and wife Lanora, Louisville, GA., Emory Ensz and wife Juanita, Texline, TX., one sister, Erma Redger and husband Jake, Hardin, MT.; two sister-in-laws, Susie Ensz, Inman, and Edna Dyke and husband Elmer, Stapleton, GA. and other relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, first wife Rosella Ensz, one brother, Jake Ensz, one sister, Josephine Friesen, and one son-in-law, Jon Good.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.today at the North Mennotine Church with Minister Donald Keohn and Kalvin Salsbury presiding.

Other Funeral servives will be at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at the Cedar Crest Mennotine Church in Faunsdale, AL.with Minister Harlod Schmidt presiding.

Burial will be in the Cedar Crest Mennonite Cemetery, Faunsdale, AL.

VERA A. SHORT

DODGE CITY -- Vera Ann Short, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004 at Manor of the Plains.

She was born May 22, 1922 to William and Cora Simmons in Walnut.

She married Charles Short on July 14, 1940 in Kinsley. He died Sept. 1, 2004.

She was a member of the Liberal Friends Church and the Belle Hayne HDU.

Survivors include three daughters Deliliah Winkler and husband Edward, Hoisington, ; Carole Racy and husband Jules, Ensign and Judy Stevens and husband Donald, Wichita.ten grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, three brotherS, Manford, Everett, and Ralph Simmons; three sisters, Olive Studivan, Irene Nicholson, and Hazel Penka.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at the Burkhart- Ziegler Funeral Chaple with Reverend Dick Roberts presiding. --

Burial will be in the Kansas Vetrens Cemetery, Ft. Dodge.

Friends may call from 9a.m. to 6 p.m. Today at the funeral chaple.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie or Manor of the Plains both in care of the chaple at 1901 N. 14th Ave. Dodge CIty Ks. 67801.

ROBERT L. MANGELS

ROLLA -- Robert Lee Mangels, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at his residence in Rolla.

He was born May 24, 1928, to Eli Richard and Bertha Katherina (Nusser) Mangels in Rolla.

He worked in maintenance for the United States Bureau of Mines in Keyes, Okla. He also worked for the Rolla Senior Citizen Center in Rolla delivering meals.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include one sister, Loeta Ann Thomas and husband Robert, Dodge City; one sister-in-law, Patsy Mangels, Hugoton; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Pauline Brown and husband George, Esther Harford and husband Bud and Helen Katherine Mangels, one brother, Keith Mangels and one niece, Melody Harford.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rolla Cemetery with Pastor John Jordan presiding.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Victory In the Valley of Wichita and may be mailed to Paul's Funeral Home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

BARBARA J. SHOEMAKER

EULESS, Texas -- Barbara Jean Shoemaker, 47, died Dec. 18, 2004, at her residence.

She was born June 7, 1957, to Donald and Marilyn Dettmer in Ulysses.

Survivors include one son, Troy Shoemaker, Euless, Texas; one daughter, Candi Shoemaker McDonald and husband William, Grapevine, Texas; one grandchild, Cierra McDonald; two sisters, Debbie Kernohan, Gladewater, Texas, and Ellen Underhill, Ulysses.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kitch­ Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Cook presiding.

Friends may call 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Kitch­Brenneman Funeral Home.

EVELYN L. HOSTETLER

Evelyn L. Hostetler, 89, died Dec. 18, 2004, at Arbors Nursing Home in Milford, Ohio.

She was born April 13, 1915, to Free W. and Edith (Simpson) Moore in Byers.

She married Max Huberter Hostetler Feb. 6, 1997.

She worked for the State of Michigan Treasury Department and was also a teacher.

She enjoyed sewing, singing, playing the piano and flower gardening.

Survivors include two children, David Hostetler and wife Patti, Portage, Mich., and Jane Hostetler, Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Aaron, Scott and Marcia; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Opal Pittman, Moscow; and several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great nieces.

Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. today at Redmond Funeral Home in Kalamazoo, Mich., with the Rev. Sandy Elfring of First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, Mich., presiding.

Burial was at 10:30 a.m. today at the shelter at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to local hospice offices.

E. WOODROW PRIEST

ELKHART -- E. Woodrow "Woody" Priest, 89, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

He was born Dec. 28, 1914, to Edgar and Bernice Mae (Smith) Priest in Shelbyville, Mo.

He married Agnes Louise Kemp Dec. 23, 1935, in Clarence, Mo. She survives.

He farmed with his family in the Wilburton area. He and his brother-in-law operated a business with Phillips Petroleum Company for 39 years.

He was a Marine during World War II.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Elkhart.

He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post No. 3162. He also helped start the Cimarron Sportsman Club.

He enjoyed training bird dogs, hunting and fishing, reading and playing cards with his grandkids.

Other survivors include two sons, J.W. Priest, Elkhart, and Lynn Priest, Yukon, Okla.; one daughter, Mary Forinash, Eva, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Elkhart with the Rev. Ron White presiding.

Burial will follow in the Elkhart Cemetery with military rites by V.F.W. Post No. 3162.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home of Elkhart.

Memorials are suggested to the Morton County Library or the donor's choice in care of Garnand Funeral Home, P.O. Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
