Pauline D. Weston
Pauline D. Weston, 78, of Frontenac, KS died 4:05pm Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS following an illness. Pauline was born August 27, 1933 in Radley, KS the daughter of Pete and Madie (Prichard) Antonetti. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended area schools in Radley. She married Bob Maine; he later preceded her in death. She later married Maurice Weston; he later preceded her in death. Pauline worked in food service most of her life including service at the Mt. Carmel Hospital in Pittsburg, KS, Pitt State Student Union and Sunset Manor in Frontenac, KS. Pauline was a member of the Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg, KS and will be most remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter Reda Depriest and husband Gary of Goodman, MO; siblings Gloria Westervelt and husband Lennie of Cherokee, KS, Charlene Brown and husband Sam of Cherokee, KS, Alfred Antonetti and Paul Antonetti; grandchildren Joshua and wife Pam, Jason and Jenae and great-grandchildren Sadee and Jayce. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Terry Maine. Private interment will take place at a later date at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Arrangements are by Friskel Funeral Home of Frontenac.

Nora Lou Moriconi
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS – Nora Lou Moriconi, 67, of Prairie Village, formerly of Frontenac, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on January 29, 1945 in Wichita, KS to Lew and Dolly Moriconi. She grew up in Frontenac and attended Frontenac High School. She attended Pittsburg State University and received her degree in education and taught for many years at Saint Mary’s Grade School in Pittsburg, KS. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in reading education at Pittsburg State University. Nora Lou was a devoted Daughter, Mother and Nona to her family. She is survived by three daughters; Nora Lynn Moriconi-Cook (Husband Don Cook), MO. Laura Beth Howard (Husband Troy Howard), IL. And Elisa Maria Moriconi of the home. She also has a grand-baby, Anthony Lewis Moriconi Cook, Son of Nora Lynn and Don Cook. The sadness of losing her is an irreplaceable great loss to not only her family, but everyone that knew her. She’s forever in our hearts. Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10 am. Family receiving friends and rosary, also at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, will precede funeral mass at 9 am. Burial will be in the Frontenac City cemetery in Frontenac, KS. Arrangements are by the Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay in Frontenac, KS.

Nadine Catherine Trout
Nadine Catherine Trout, 89, of Frontenac, KS passed away 1:59pm Friday, February 1, 2013 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, KS following an illness. Nadine was born August 13, 1923 in Frontenac, KS the daughter of John and Bertha (Velia) Schramm. Nadine was a graduate from Frontenac High School in 1941. She married Richard L. Trout on August 5, 1944 in Girard, KS; he preceded her in death on May 28, 1992. They had two children Richard J. Trout and Sharon K. (Trout) Lofts. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, husband son Richard J. Trout; brother Raleigh Melchiori and two sisters Lottie Minnis and Thelma Falletti. She has left to treasure her memories a daughter Sharon Lofts and husband Ray of Pittsburg, KS; grandsons Darren Lofts and wife Shannon of Topeka, KS, Eric Lofts and wife Denise of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren Ryan and Luke Lofts of Lenexa, KS; step great-grandchildren Alyssa and her husband Gilberto Munoz of Topeka, KS and Ashton and Kinney Hopkins of Topeka, KS; step great-great grandchildren Liliana and Brian Munoz of Topeka, KS. Nadine loved making French Cookies and Potica for the holidays; she also loved watching KU Basketball, Royals Baseball, Wheel of Fortune and Soap Operas on T.V. Nadine will most be remembered by her family as a very caring and loving person. Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-7pm Monday February 4, 2013 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS; friends may call after 3pm Monday. In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Frontenac High School Scholarship Fund. Nita Mae Aubel
Nita Mae Aubel, 101, of Eldorado, KS formerly of Frontenac, KS died 3:26pm Tuesday February 12, 2013 at Susan B. Anthony Hospital in El Dorado, KS following a short illness. Nita was born January 22, 1912 in Frontenac, KS the daughter of Domenic and Katherine Cinotto. Nita moved to Radley, KS in her younger years to be raised with the Crosetto and Cinotto families. She was a graduate of Pittsburg High School in 1930 and later earned her B. S. Degree at the Pittsburg State Teachers College in 1933. On June 10, 1947 Nita married Joe Aubel in Leavenworth, KS; he preceded her in death on June 15, 1995. Nita worked at the courthouse after college from 1934-1935 before moving to Kansas City, KS to work for the State School for the Blind for 36 years from 1936-1973. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Frontenac, KS; National Retired Teacher’s Association and Kansas Association for the Blind. Survivors include her nieces Bonita Mae Duryea and husband Rex of El Dorado, KS, Phyllis Huffaker of El Dorado, KS and Judith K. Clement and husband Bill of Baldwin City, KS; 8 great nieces and nephews and 16 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Fred Cinotto and sister in law Irma Cinotto. Graveside Services will be 11am Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 4-6pm Monday February 18, 2013 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS; friends may call after 1pm Monday. In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Frontenac Methodist Church. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. Clara C. Kirch
Clara C. Kirch, 94, of Rolla, MO died at 3:27 p.m. Sunday February 24, 2013 at the PhelpsCounty Regional Medical Center in Rolla. She was born October 10, 1918 in Wellston, OK the daughter of Fritz Jr. and Rosie (Janssen) Stein. Clara married Edwin Kirch on August 14, 1940 in Wellston, OK. They resided in Wellston and El Reno, OK, Butler, MO, Girard and Frontenac, KS. After Edwin’s death in 2005, Clara moved to Rolla, MO. Edwin and Clara farmed together for 58 years before moving to Frontenac. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wellston. She was currently a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Marshfield, MO. While living in Frontenac she and Edwin were members of the Faith Lutheran Church in Pittsburg. Survivors include a daughter Berniece Strandberg and husband Richard and a Granddaughter Kristin Strandberg all of Rolla. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin and a brother Ernest. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday March 1, 2013 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Pittsburg with Pastor’s Edwin Lehmann and Aaron Schumann officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Faith Lutheran Church, the Peace Lutheran Church or Donor’s Choice. Memorials may be mailed to the Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. McKay/P.O. Corinne Layden
Corinne Layden, 93, of Tulsa formerly of Frontenac died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday March 13, 2013 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born February 4, 1920 in Ringo, KS the daughter of Americo and Dena (Bianchi) Guerrieri. She lived all of her adult life in Frontenac but had moved to Tulsa 2 years ago to be near her family. Corinne was a 1937 graduate of Arma High School. She married Robert Layden on November 19, 1950 at the Frontenac United Methodist Church; he preceded her in death on September 28, 2000. Corinne worked for 32 years for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company retiring as an office supervisor in 1973. She was a member of the Frontenac United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Woman, the Eagles Auxiliary, AARP and was a member of MetLife’s Veteran’s Association. Survivors include a niece Diane Hensley and husband Jerry; Great-nephew Eric Hensley, Great-niece Sara Andrews and husband Wade; a sister-in-law Shirley Guerrieri and several family members on both her and Bob’s side. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob and a brother Art Guerrieri. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2013 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac; burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. on Friday. Memorial contributions can be made to the FrontenacUnited Methodist Church or the Mirza Shrine Children’s Transportation Fund. Memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. Lute Alfred Gintner
Lute Alfred Gintner, 86, of Pittsburg passed away at 9:30 p.m. Monday March 25, 2013 at the Medicalodge Nursing Home in Frontenac (Sunset Manor). He was born March 9, 1927 in Yale, KS the son of John and Mildred (Ward) Gintner. Lute attended elementary school in Yale and was a 1944 graduate of Frontenac High School. Lute was a veteran of WWII serving his country in the United States Army. His duty ran from 1945 through 1946, he was stationed in Germany. He was discharged with the rank of corporal. He was united in marriage with Betty Jane Clark on June 21, 1947. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2011. Survivors include a son Tim Gintner, a daughter Mary Warrick and husband Johnny all of Pittsburg; a brother Joe Gintner and a sister Rose Stanley both of Frontenac; 5 Grandchildren-Kristy Sailors of Overland Park, Terri Gintner of Harrisonville, MO, Ashton, Libby and Luten Warrick all of Pittsburg and 1 Great-granddaughter Carlie Pichler of Lawrence; an aunt Valene Ferguson of Hesston and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers John Andrew “Jack” Gintner and Glenroy Gintner. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday March 28, 2013 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac with Father Thomas Stroot officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel cemetery in Frontenac. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Frontenac America Legion Post #43. Memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. McKay/P.O. Box 907 Frontenac, KS 66763.

Mary Grace (Hoffman) Fernetti
Mary Grace (Hoffman) Fernetti, 91, of Frontenac died at 11 p.m. Monday March 25, 2013 at her home in Frontenac. She was born October 21, 1921 in a log cabin near Rifle, CO the daughter of AA and Eda Elizabeth (Peterson) Hoffman. Mary Grace married Romeo Fernetti on January 25, 1941; he preceded her in death on March 16, 1990. She was a homemaker, loving wife and caring mother her entire life. Her sense of humor and love for life enabled her to make people feel welcome and comfortable in her home. Her hobbies were embroidery, crocheting and quilting. Mary Grace was a Pink Lady at the Mount Carmel Hospital. Throughout the years she volunteered to collect donations for organizations such as March of Dimes and cancer research. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, and in her younger years volunteered to help with the cleaning of the church. Survivors included a daughter Gloria Fernetti of Kansas City, MO; 2 sons Terry Fernetti of Independence, KS, Ronnie Fernetti of Pittsburg, KS; a sister Nadine Baima of Pittsburg; 2 brothers Bob Hoffman of Pittsburg and Gerald Hoffman of Grove, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters Helen Herron, Olga Chance and 2 brothers Harold ad John Hoffman. The family wishes to express gratitude and appreciation to Don Fischer, a close friend of the family who was a caregiver for Mary Grace. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday April 2, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac with Father Thomas Stroot as celebrant; burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac prior to the Mass. Friends may call at the Friskel Funeral Home on Monday after 11 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Regina Lee (Hutsey) Krumsick
Regina Lee (Hutsey) Krumsick, 80, of Frontenac, passed away at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 surrounded by her family at Via Christi Medical Center. Regina was born on November 18, 1932 in Frontenac, Kansas to Paul and Margaret (Kelly) Hutsey. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1951. Regina was united in marriage to Bob Krumsick in 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and they shared 53 years together. Regina was a full-time wife, mother, and grandmother. Regina’s faith and her family were the core of her life. She was also an avid sports fan, reader and enjoyed playing cards with her friends in several bridge clubs. Additionally, Regina was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Altar Society, the Perpetual Adoration, and the Frontenac American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Regina is survived by her six children, Kevin Krumsick, and his wife Geri, Kay Gobl, and her husband Joe, Kelly Krumsick, Karen Gorentz, and her husband Bob, Kenny Krumsick, and Kurt Krumsick. Additional survivors include 16 grandchildren, Greg, Andy, Bobby, and Zach Krumsick, Robin Sharp, Dr. Jill Saia-Pile, Gena Coomes, Chad, Amanda, and Brad Gobl, Ryan Beachner, Kaleigh Hobbs, Kolter Krumsick, and Paige, Allie, and Sophie Krumsick. Great-grandchildren include, Alec and Jacob Sharp, Kelsey and Avery Krumsick, Ellie Krumsick, Hayden, Vinny, and Giana Pile, Kale Coomes, Kayler Smith, and Mia Beachner. Also surviving are brother Paul Hutsey (Tip) and sister Frances Lane, brother in-law Lloyd Beasley, brother in-law Herb Krumsick (Kathy), sister in-law Jeanne Krumsick Miller, many nieces, nephews, and her good, good friend Leta. Regina was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, and sisters Bernadine Murry, Margaret McLean, and Ellen Marie Beasley. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, in Frontenac. The parish rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Mount Carmel cemetery Fund. Memorials can be brought by or mailed to the Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. Frances Jean (Hutsey) Lane
Frances Jean (Hutsey) Lane, 90, of Maize, KS, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, surrounded by her family at Via Christi (St. Francis) Hospital in Wichita, KS. Frances was born on July 27, 1922 in Frontenac, KS to Paul and Margaret (Kelly) Hutsey. She graduated from Frontenac High School in 1941. Frances was united in marriage to Billy T. Lane on March 3, 1962. Frances is survived by her two daughters, Debbie K. Cowan and her husband, Clyde Cowan of Oark, AR and Karen Thome of Clearwater, KS. Additional survivors include 8 grandchildren, Shannan (Smith) Martin, Casey Cowan, Cindy (Cowan) Bair, Sundi (Thome) Johnson, Ryan Thome, Malanee Thome, Michelle Thome, and Natalie Thome. Frances was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Paul Hutsey. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Billy T. Lane, her parents, and sisters, Bernadine Murry, Margaret McLean, Ellen Marie Beasley, and Regina Krumsick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac with Father Chad Arnold as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, in Pittsburg. The parish rosary will be recited at 7 pm, Tuesday, April 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the family will receive friends following until 8 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to sign the book or leave a memorial donation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Sacred Heart Altar Society Memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E.
