LUCILLE NELSON
ROGERS, Ark. -- Lucille Nelson, 72, former Liberal resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at her home in Rogers.
She was born March 12, 1927, to Robert and Selma (Nelson) Brothers in Halford.
She married Charles Nelson 51 years ago. He survives.
She lived in Rogers for the past 13 years, moving there from Liberal, where she was a cost estimator at Northern Natural Gas Company.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville, Ark., where she was active in women's organizations and was also a member of the Beaver Shores Friendship Club.
She enjoyed flower gardening and was family oriented.
Other survivors include one son, Chris Nelson and wife, Sherri, Rogers; one daughter, Charla Cress and husband, Fred, Liberal; two brothers, Robert Brothers, of Oregon and Gordon Brothers, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Chaz Nelson, Jake Nelson and Jody Cress.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Heather Tilford.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Bentonville, with the Rev. Don Morrow presiding.
Burial will follow at the Rogers Cemetery
in Rogers.
Friends may visit until 7 p.m. today, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

TALMA EDNA CHAPLINE
Talma Chapline, 85, died Thursday, Jan 20, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Sept. 6, 1914, to E. L. and Pearlie T. Owen in Emerson, Ark.
She married R.O. Chapline Dec. 20, 1935. in Homer, La. He died Aug. 10, 1986.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant child; six brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kitch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Philip Shull presiding.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, La.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the donor's choice.
DOLORES D. GEE
ULYSSES -- Dolores D. Gee, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
She was born Jan. 8, 1917, to Jessie J. and Amy L. (Lattimore) Ford in Zenda.
She married James L. "Jim" Gee Sept. 16, 1946, in Ulysses. He died July 20, 1991.
She graduated in 1937 from Grant County Rural High School in Ulysses. She lived in Oregon and Englewood, Colo., before moving back to Ulysses in 1959.
She worked as a bookkeeper for the Grant County Court House, Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Ansel Manufacturing and Kansas Irrigation, all in Ulysses.
She was a member of the Business and Professional Women organization in Ulysses.
Survivors include one son, Les Gee and wife, LaDonna, Ulysses; one daughter, Roberta Courter and husband, Carl, Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Melvin and Zeltus Ford,
both of Ulysses; one sister, Naomi Heffelmire, Denver; three grandchildren, Travis, Trever and Kristen Gee.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Winger and Shirley Medlin.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Ulysses with Warren Baldwin presiding. Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery
in Ulysses.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.

LAVERNE E. HADDOCK
LaVerne E. Haddock, 80, Liberal, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Dec. 19, 1919, to Alvin E. and Iva C. (Mahan) Webber at Little Rock, Ark.
She graduated from Tulsa Central High School, Tulsa, Okla., in 1937. She lived in Tulsa and Canton, Okla., before she moved to Liberal in December 1947.
She worked for several Liberal retail businesses and worked for 18 years at Beech Aircraft Corp. as tool crib operator and in blueprint. She retired in 1982.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and Friendly Sunday School class. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, was past worthy matron and had served in several state offices, Beauceant and as grand representative to New Hampshire.
She was lady champion of the Liberal City Tennis Tournament in singles and doubles for several years.
She married Charles R. Haddock Aug. 22, 1942, at Stillwater, Okla. He died Feb. 28, 1991.
Survivors include three sons, Robert E. Shore and wife, Rose, League City, Texas, Charles L. Haddock and wife, Sonja, Fairfield, Wash., and Billy Haddock and wife, Carolyn, Midwest City, Okla.; two daughters, Jean Ann Foster and husband, Bill, Liberal, and SanDee Holterman, Liberal; one sister, Jean Tippin, Estes Park, Colo.; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Bagwell officiating.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from until 8 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Tuesday.

PAUL A. WOLF
HUGOTON -- Paul A. Wolf, 79, Hugoton, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
He was born Jan. 8, 1921, to Frank Albert and Lillie (Arnold) Wolf at Little River.
He attended high school in Lyons and held a bachelor of science degree in business.
He was a captain in the Army and served during World War II.
He married Marion Lorraine Greenlee July 22, 1951, in Scott City. She survives.
He had lived in Lawrence and rural Rice County before he moved to Hugoton in 1952.
He was a lawyer for 48 years, first with Brollier, Wolf and Schroeder, then with Brollier, Wolf and Smith.
He was a member of United Methodist Church and Southwest Kansas Bar Association.
He was a past county attorney and past state representative. He was a member of the Legislative Council and a caucus leader.
He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and a Lions representative, director of Southwest Savings and Loan and had served on the Stevens County Library and Stevens County Hospital boards.
Other survivors include two sons, Lt. Col. Franklin Wolf, Stafford, Va., and Douglas P. Wolf, Hobbs, N.M.; one daughter, Carol Moore, Los Alamos, N.M.; one sister, Ruth Burkey, Springfield, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Amy, Emily and Michael Wolf.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
Military graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hugoton Cemetery, with the Rev. Nel Holmes presiding.
Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church or Stevens County Home Health Care, in care of Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton.
MARY FRANCES YOUNG
HUGOTON -- Mary Frances Young, 74, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born March 15, 1925 to Tolman Alexander and Ruth Olive (Harper) Dudley in Satanta.
She married Walter Dotson Young Dec. 27, 1946 in Hugoton. He survives.
She lived all her life in Stevens County, moving from Moscow.
She belonged to the P.E.O. Chapter, G.C., Bas Bleu and the United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include three sons, Craig, D. Young, Wichita, Cass S. Young, Hugoton, Clark P. Young, Hugoton; one daughter, Robin D. Sullivan, Hugoton; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Elva Tolene Kramer.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Hugoton.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or United Methodist Church Building Fund.
