LAVERNE, Okla. -- Cleta Pearl Loomis, 73, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
She was born April 11, 1928, to Thomas Alonzo and Mary Neona (Robinette) Wiles in Laverne.
She attended school in Laverne.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Women's Missionary of Assembly of God.
She married Charles Wesley Loomis Feb. 27, 1947, in Ashland. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Eldon Earl Loomis and wife, Tina, Beggs, Okla.; one daughter, Barbara Blevins and husband, Geary, Pierceville, Okla.; two sisters, Ruby Patterson, Tonkawa, Okla., and Marie Skinner, Liberal; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Vernon "Butch" Loomis in 1999; one brother, Glenn Wiles in 1993; one sister, Violet Kinser in 2000; and one infant grandchild, Debbie Jo Blevins in 1972.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church in Laverne, with the Revs. Wes Peterman and Jim Fox presiding.
Burial will follow at the Laverne Memorial Cemetery
in Laverne.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at the Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home in Laverne.

RENA "VIRGINIA" CROUSE
GUYMON, Okla. -- Rena "Virginia" Crouse, 73, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at her home in Guymon.
She was born Dec. 29, 1927, to Bertram and Rena (Derves) Hanna in Breckenridge, Texas.
She married John L. Crouse in Noble, Ill. He died June 16, 1977.
She had been a resident of Guymon since 1990.
She was a housewife.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory Crouse, Nashville, Tenn., and Jeffery Crouse, Stuttgart, Germany; one daughter, Jennifer Yoder, Elkhart; one brother, Bill Hanna, Houston, Texas; two sisters, Bessie Johnson, West Columbia, Texas, and Mary Skelton, Noble; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart, with the Rev. Ken Van presiding.
Burial will take place in the Elkhart Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Harrell Funeral Home in Elkhart.

Virgil M. Hecox, 78, Liberal, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

ULYSSES -- Anna Lucille (Williams) Robey, 91, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses where she had been a resident.

MARY CLAY
Mary Clay, 61, Liberal, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born May 16, 1940, to Caleb and Ella (Williams) Snell in Tillar, Ark.
She married Joe Lewis Clay June 12, 1961, in Dumas, Ark. He survives.
She attended school in Arkansas and lived in Dumas before moving to Liberal in 1972.
She was employed in housekeeping at Southwest Medical Center for 17 years and retired in 1994.
She was a member of the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Liberal.
Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Clay, Liberal, and Joe Clay Jr. and wife, Sharlene, Victorville, Calif.; three daughters, Terrie Gaines, Fairbanks, Ala., Linda Clay Domingus, Liberal, and Tunia White and husband, Michael, Arlington, Texas; four brothers, Robert Snell, Wichita, Willie Fred Snell, Nashville, Ark., Lorenzo Hughes, Oakland, Calif., and Bill Hughes, Munfresboro, Ark.; two sisters, Claudia Faust, Wichita, and Maggie Sexton, Mitchellville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Ronnie Gaines, Keyla Clay, Shameka Clay and Cachet Clay, Breeonna White and Kiesten White; one great-grandchild, Mariaha Small; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal with Solomon Ross and the Rev. A.H. Smith Jr. presiding.
Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery
in Liberal.

RAYMOND MASCHMEIER
TURPIN, Okla. -- Raymond G. Maschmeier, 74, Turpin, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
He was born Jan. 5, 1927, to Charles and Carolina (Weideman) Maschmeier in rural Beaver County, Okla.
He had been a lifetime resident of Beaver County.
He was an expert marksman in the U.S. Army.
He farmed for many years with his family and Gene Franz. He was also a carpenter, and later he was employed as a heavy equipment operator by Beaver County District No. 3. He retired in 1997.
His hobbies included hunting and raising hunting dogs.
Survivors include one sister, Edna Woods, Turpin, whom he lived with for the past 16 years; nieces and nephews, Sharon Woods, JoAnn Woods Wiggens, Belva Freeman Hickey, Roberta Freeman Kepley, Charles Freeman, Johnnie Maschmeier, Annette Maschmeier Ille, Lou Ellas Maschmeier Regier, Cara Beth Maschmeier Clinesmith, Teresa Maschmeier Williams, and Orville Isaacs; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Maschmeier and Velma Maschmeier; and numerous great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Maschmeier and Charles Maschmeier; two sisters, Carrie Maschmeier Pelton and Ella Maschmeier Freeman; two nephews, Nemo Freeman and Robert Maschmeier; one nice, Shirley Woods; and two great-nieces.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberal with Pastor Andrew Wehling presiding.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery
in Liberal.

HOOKER, Okla. -- Ulah Mae Blackwelder, 81, a lifelong Hooker resident, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker.
VIRGIL M. HECOX
Virgil M. Hecox, 78, Liberal, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born Feb. 19, 1923, to Jay M. and Mary L. (Miner) Hecox in Tyrone, Okla.
He married Beulah Mae Payne June 21, 1942, in Denver. She died Dec. 26, 1997.
He graduated from Tyrone High School and then entered the U.S. Army. He served in the European Theater during World War II.
He had operated Virgil Mobil Service Station in Liberal and farmed near Kismet. Later, he farmed in Sugar City, Colo., and worked on an irrigation project in Washington.
He returned to Liberal in 1954 and was employed as a machinist at C & W Machine Works for seven years.
He was a machinery salesman for International Harvester for 10 years. He also worked as a supervisor at UPG for 11 years. He retired in 1985.
He was a life member of the VFW Lane Day Post No. 3166 in Liberal.
Survivors include two sons, David Hecox and wife, Carol, Washougal, Wash., and Steven Hecox, San Bernadino, Calif.; one brother, Lester Hecox, Wichita; two sisters, Thelma Ehrhardt and Netie Brown, both of Liberal; three grandchildren, Nicholas David Hecox and Jonathan Carroll Hecox, both of Washougal, and Christine Kay Hecox; two great-granddaughters, Greta Rose Morrill and Heidi Morrill, both of Portland, Ore.; and best friend and caregiver, Mary Jo Blevins, Liberal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jimmy Hecox; one brother, Orville Hecox; one sister, Norma Hecox; and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Chapel in Liberal with Dr. Ollie Kinser presiding.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery
in Liberal.
